Endpoint defense has delivered strong incident response and supports deep behavior analytics
They should listen more to their community. They need to do a lot more bundling of things as part of it instead of treating everything as an upgrade or an enhancement. The problem that is hurting them is that there is a cost all the time for upgrading. They are late in the game. When you look at Exabeam, they have always been focused on behavior analytics. This new journey into that era has enhanced it because it provides detection and baselining of behavior when someone is using that endpoint. It is an added feature that has benefited the enterprise in terms of defensive depth. It is definitely a good feature.

Container workloads have run reliably and now support secure, customizable services
It is important that Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) (ARM) | Support by SupportedImages has long-term support for mission-critical operations, because there are applications which need to be updated if we are going with a newer version. I do not see areas for improvement in Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) (ARM) | Support by SupportedImages because it satisfies our requirements. Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) (ARM) | Support by SupportedImages is 99% stable and reliable. It is not our primary OS; we are using it for specific services for containers and specific services. We have also introduced AI into the platform. For example, if an updated version of Redis is available, that updated version will not be available in Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) (ARM) | Support by SupportedImages repository. In that case, we have to pull it directly from the Redis servers and install it manually for it to work for us. I give this product a rating of 9.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The risk rating gives a better view than Idera Discovery, with more information regarding the account, a severity-based risk rating, and breach types, which really helps us in formulating the IAM strategy."
"As a customer, what I appreciate most about the product is that it has already proven its worth because it was able to safeguard us against a clear cyberattack."
"CrowdStrike, Inc. [Private Offer Only] is the core of the EDR endpoint detection response in the market right now and it still is."
"As a customer, what I really appreciate about CrowdStrike, Inc. [Private Offer Only] is that it works effectively, blocking all ransomware and all software that users are trying to install that is not approved, working very well as an antivirus, and we also have the SOC of CrowdStrike, Inc. [Private Offer Only] team that helps us."
"Regarding value for money, organizations that provide services typically use Ubuntu as their primary OS, which is secure, compatible, and developer-friendly, allowing our DevOps team to utilize it effectively for daily deployments and configurations."
"Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) (ARM) | Support by SupportedImages is easy to learn, which is my favorite part about it, as the commands are very easy."

Cons

"They should listen more to their community."
"I see drawbacks in CrowdStrike in the application field, where it detects if applications get used or not."
"At this moment, I do see that CrowdStrike could improve on how they handle the AI-related threats on cybersecurity, as we are not very familiar with that and don't have enough information on how CrowdStrike is going to deal with that part."
"The only negative thing I can think of for CrowdStrike, Inc. [Private Offer Only] is the web managing interface."
"There are a few applications that are not easy to deploy on Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) (ARM) | Support by SupportedImages, so we need to have some workarounds for that."
"Despite mentioning many advantages, an area for improvement in Ubuntu is its application support, as it lacks many GUI-friendly applications that are available on Windows or macOS, which limits usability for tasks requiring specific software."
