Offers a user-friendly interface and a variety of data visualization tools
My advice to new users considering Qlik Analytics Platform is to carefully assess their data project needs. While Qlik is a solid on-premises platform, the trend in the industry is moving toward cloud-based data solutions, including data warehousing and integration. Cloud data warehouses are often more modern, feature-rich, and scalable. If you are planning to create a new data warehouse in the cloud, it might make sense to also opt for cloud-native integration tools. The tech world is shifting towards cloud-native solutions, which better match the direction most global data projects are heading. Overall, I would rate Qlik Analytics Platform as a seven out of ten.

"The most valuable feature of Qlik Analytics Platform is its Change Data Capture capability."
"Qlik offers you all the features needed to extract the raw data from the source systems including an ETL layer to transform the data and to connect the multiple data sources into one data model, easy data sharing, security and scaling features, dashboards, and report functionality to share your data with your end-users."
"Reporting is a valuable feature of the solution."
"It is a great platform for third party extensions, has an open API, and there are no black boxes."

Cons

"Resource management: We typically run out of heap space, and even the allocation of high heap space does not seem to be enough."
"Its documentation could be improved."
"Needs: easier automated failure recovery; more, and more intuitive auto-generated/filled-in code for components; easier/more automated sync between CloverETL Designer and CloverETL Server."
"It would be great if decentralized teams would have more features to manage the metadata on the dashboards, setup the specific user access rights and rules to govern incoming and outgoing data sets from/to other teams, and more features to separate the different data process layers (e.g. extraction, transformation [data quality, business rules])."
"One area where Qlik Analytics Platform could be improved is in providing better support for batch processing and traditional ETL workflows."
"More freedom for custom visuals and dashboard creation would be an improvement."
"The user experience needs to be improved."
