CIS hardening has simplified secure container workloads but AppArmor still blocks Docker by default
The CIS L1 AppArmor enforcement breaks Docker out of the box. Containers fail to start with a permission denied on the containerd task directory. There is no documentation about this. A simple note explaining that Docker users need to either update the runc AppArmor profile or disable it would save a lot of debugging time. It takes a while to trace the failure back to AppArmor blocking runc writes to /run/containerd/.

Linux servers have supported secure deployments and provide straightforward configuration
We use a couple of third-party apps in Linux servers, such as Twingate or Fireflys, or we redirect our traffic on London-based servers. We use Linux and other third-party applications for security purposes. User interface is an area where Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) | Support by SupportedImages could improve. Mac is famous for its user interface and seamless experience with other products. Similarly, Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) | Support by SupportedImages should provide a better UI/UX experience over the OS and better connectivity and better application support. Windows and Mac support a vast variety of applications, but Linux is lacking in this area. System configuration is something I would see added to Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) | Support by SupportedImages in the future. The App Store lacks many applications, so it could improve the application support.

"When I think of the advantages of Ubuntu 20 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) | Support by SupportedImages, the very broad community support comes to my mind; most of the questions are very quickly and reliably answered, and that is in fact better than what we face with AlmaLinux, which is more of a niche type of operating system."
"The biggest advantage that I found in GitLab is that I have all the control of my code in house."

Cons
