We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most significant advantage is the ability to swiftly enable HTTPS services when my DNS is configured correctly.""It's very stable, and it hosts one of the biggest of many biggest web applications in the world.""It is scalable.""The control panel is very easy to navigate. It's similar to most hosting platforms, so it's user-friendly. Once you get used to it, managing your hosting becomes easy, too.""The solution's most valuable feature is reporting.""The open-source nature is one of its most significant advantages.""Apache Web Server is free of cost.""The product's initial setup phase is straightforward."

"It performs better in real-time transactions.""Valuable features include connectors and BAM.""The solution's XSLT or XSL Transformation feature was very useful.""Enables our Product Manager to post products to different outside EC platforms with only one interface and one process.""Provides connectivity between discrete systems and has availability.""In case there is something that doesn't work out of the box, you have the flexibility to customize it.""The most valuable feature of the facility, as the partner link, is to try to use third-party services and logic in your own vehicle to orchestrate the information.""Middleware jobs developing for EC, ERP, and shipping systems become easier."

More Oracle SOA Suite Pros →

"The most valuable feature is that it provides one place where you can control all of the services.""It integrates well with other solutions.""A valuable feature is its integration with Oracle Database.""WebLogic Suite is scalable.""WebLogic adds a lot of value to business and investments.""Scalability on the solution is great. It's very very easy to scale.""The product is reliable.""What I've been seeing as the most valuable characteristics of WebLogic Suite include robustness and scalability. It's a really good solution, and I'm not saying this because my company is a partner of WebLogic Suite. I also like that with the newer versions of the solution, you can deploy WebLogic Suite faster. Oracle also provides excellent technical support."

Cons
"The product's initial setup process could be easier for users.""A monitoring interface would be great for this product. The monitoring dashboards for Apache's models are not included in the basic installation. You can install the basic monitoring model, then connect this model to another monitoring system.""The interface has room for improvement.""By optimizing the infrastructure to allow the webserver to directly handle queries from memory—particularly by prioritizing the storage of queries in memory and processing them through the web server interface—I could potentially cut down the required instances from five hundred to two hundred.""In future releases, I would like to see better server optimization.""Lacks integration with some cloud solutions.""It would be great if technical support for Apache were available in Iran. It is a very important need.""Things change very fast. We're always on the lookout for better approaches and tools. If the solution falls behind, we may have to switch."

More Apache Web Server Cons →

"The solution’s initial setup is complex and could be improved.""The installation and adjustment process seems too complex.""One area that could be better is the human task feature. It could be improved to provide more functionality and customization options because it has limited options available.""Decrease the number of internal resources which the product uses.""An area for improvement in Oracle SOA Suite is the cost. It could be lower.""The deployment could be made easier by including add-ons like Hudson and Maven.""It's also not developer-friendly.""The solutions can improve the communication or translations between formats, such as JSON and XML. The JSON REST API could improve."

More Oracle SOA Suite Cons →

"I rate the scalability of WebLogic Suite an eight out of ten.""The solution needs to share more information in terms of training. There needs to be more documentation involved to help those who are completely new to the product.""I would like to see the licensing policy simplified.""This solution would benefit from the inclusion of a ripple start function for clusters.""I noticed a few areas for improvement in WebLogic Suite. If you use the pure play higher-availability features, then yes, it can be switched over to the other system from the high-availability point of view, but that comes with a certain price. If you prefer simpler high-availability, that requires manual intervention. I'd also recommend a tuning feature in WebLogic Suite because it's not self-tuning, and this means you need thorough expertise to do the tuning and leverage the best benefit out of it. If Oracle makes WebLogic Suite automated or self-driven, then it becomes a wonderful product, similar to what Oracle did for the Autonomous Database which is self-driven or has an autonomous operating system. If automation is added in the next release of the solution, combined with more affordable pricing, though as a technical person, I know how much goes into having automation as a feature, and it could be difficult to lower the price, but if Oracle can do it, then that would make WebLogic Suite better.""I think the support could be much better.""This solution doesn't have connectors to other external applications.""Support could be better. The expertise when we have some Oracle WebLogic issues and challenges is not there. The issues are not being addressed in time. This really needs to be improved going forward."

    Overview

The Apache HTTP Server Project was founded in 1995 by a group of webmasters, known as The Apache Group, with the aim of developing robust, richly-featured, freely-available and commercial-standard Web (HTTP) server source code. The result was Apache Web Server or Apache HTTP Server, which is an open-source public-domain web server.

This collaborative project has been enhanced ever since with contributions from the core development team and other volunteers situated all over the globe. Also, hundreds of users of this open-source web server have contributed code, ideas, and documentation. The project falls under The Apache Software Foundation, which manages many open-source projects.

Oracle SOA Suite is a comprehensive, standards-based software suite to build, deploy and manage integration following the concepts of service-oriented architecture (SOA). The components of the suite benefit from consistent tooling, a single deployment and management model, end-to-end security and unified metadata management. Oracle SOA Suite helps businesses lower costs by allowing maximum re-use of existing IT investments and assets, regardless of the environment (OS, application server, etc.) they run in, or the technology they were built upon. Its easy-to-use, re-use focused, unified application development tooling and end-to-end lifecycle management support further reduces development and maintenance cost and complexity.
