Reliable, beneficial data flows, but design system sharing needs improvement
Adobe Experience Manager Mobile has helped us to have a better flow for data entry and build stages on our website Adobe Experience Manager Mobile could be improved by making it much easier to share the design system between different projects. I have been using Adobe Experience Manager Mobile…

Enables users to develop applications quickly and has a responsive and helpful technical support team
The time to market is quite good. We can quickly develop an application using the tool. OutSystems is developed using .NET and Java. We can easily find technical resources who have worked on .NET and Java and leverage their previous knowledge to develop OutSystems applications. It can also be used for application development. If an end-user does not want to use the solution after two to three years, OutSystems sends the source code and the applications to the end-user. There is no dependency. It’s one of the major factors I found quite good in OutSystems.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I have found Adobe Experience Manager Mobile to be reliable."
"I think it's the best content management system, fulfilling all the requirements of a CMS tool."
"Integrations with external systems with SOAP and REST are easy to implement off-the-shelf, but a developer can always implement specific libraries for other integrations."
"The most important features of this tool are its visual modeling capabilities and drag and drop functionality. You can see what you are coding which makes it easy to understand and maintain. They have also created a big revolution in digital transformation by introducing native mobile app development under the same IDE."
"The integration capabilities have benefited my customers by providing many connectors out of the box, allowing for the integration of external applications or business applications."
"One thing I like about OutSystems is that there's no lock-in. You can keep running your applications because it's on .NET and hosted centrally. That's one of the advantages I see there in terms of not having an IT strategy that has a dependency on a particular platform."
"It is a scalable solution...The initial setup of OutSystems is easy."
"OutSystems' best feature is that you can build tests with the flow, so even the tests are made in the PDD framework in a low-code way."
"OutSystems is easy to use."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it allows users to easily build applications."

Cons

"The license cost is too high, and customers hesitate to implement this solution."
"Adobe Experience Manager Mobile could be improved by making it much easier to share the design system between different projects."
"We have performance issues while fetching bulk data."
"The initial setup is a little difficult."
"The tool's weakness is its focus on the solution only. Other than that, it's pretty easy to use for both technical and non-technical people. However, the tool lags in automation. For instance, we've used Python for scraping and other automated tasks. So, I believe automation is an area where it could improve."
"It is hard to find the logic in OutSystems. From an improvement perspective, I want to be able to properly use logic in OutSystems."
"There are many tutorials available but they are very basic and good for learning the platform. To develop an enterprise-grade application, advanced tutorials need to be developed to help IT professionals design/develop high-quality/performance applications."
"The prices should be lower. It is a little bit too high for a small market."
"There are not enough resources on the market."
"The tool needs to improve the efficiency of its widgets."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's a product with a high licensing cost."
"OutSystems is expensive, and they changed the pricing model in the last couple of years. It's changing too much and it's becoming unstable. They are constantly shifting their prices based on users, courses, and other factors."
"The solution is expensive."
"I would rate it five to six out of ten."
"The price is okay. OutSystems isn't expensive. It's a mid-range solution."
"Pricing could be a concern. You have to pay yearly, even after you have completed your development."
"It is very high price."
"There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to OutSystems. It is an expensive product."
"For a single application, it's too expensive."
