Our primary use case for Cloudian HyperStore is as a reliable, scalable solution for backup and long-term archive of unstructured data across our environment. We leverage it to store data from multiple sources, including file servers, applications, and departmental shares. Backups are run regularly to ensure data integrity and business continuity. While we haven’t had to perform any disaster recovery yet, knowing that Cloudian supports S3-compatible replication and versioning gives us confidence in its resilience and recoverability.

Our primary use case for Cloudian HyperStore is as a backup target. We use it for backup and archive use cases and are moving towards artificial intelligence or GPU business applications. However, about eighty percent of its use is for backup. It is also used for sharing data across organizations, offering scalability and secure data sharing across multiple locations.
I used Cloudian HyperStore for data protection, functioning as a data repository and data protection software. I implemented it through the S3 protocol directly to the object storage. It served as a repository for unstructured data and was sometimes used as a tape library replacement. Additionally, I positioned it as a cost-effective object storage solution for certain customer use cases.
File and Object Storage offers scalable solutions for data management, providing flexible access to unstructured data. These storage types are crucial for budgets and efficient data retrieval. File Storage manages data in a hierarchical structure, using directories to organize records, enhancing human readability and ease of use. It is ideal for data environments with multiple users accessing shared files, such as databases and multimedia servers. Object Storage, however, handles data as...
