How would you rate the way your system supports the Workforce Planning process (from 1 to 5)? What tool do you use?

Hello community,

A fashion company is aiming to implement a Workforce Planning module within the current HR platform.

For this purpose, we have been looking at the following two products: SAP SuccessFactors and Workday. Would you recommend using one of them?

Do you use a different tool? Which one? How would you rate it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Since there are countless options of benefits administration software available on the market today, it can be hard to choose one. Because each solution has a different unique selling point, you have to figure out which software will work best for your company, processes, and employees. My recommendation would be to go with Oracle’s PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft has a lot to offer, and it is suitable for both small and medium-sized businesses. All from one powerful, web-based product, PeopleSoft offers organizations an opportunity to establish and manage multiple benefits programs, including health and life insurance, plans for leave, dependent care reimbursement, and savings. What’s good about PeopleSoft is that you can define your providers, rates, and beneficiaries, as well as calculate coverage and premiums for employees who have multiple jobs. Another advantage of the software is that it allows you to automatically enroll participants and dependents in a variety of benefit options. Moreover, you can use passive event processing to trigger events automatically, and it also gives you the ability to identify and track eligible employees automatically and calculate and process retroactive benefits and deductions. Furthermore, I like that I can manage and administer flexible spending accounts for both health care and dependent care. There is also a feature that helps you track Medicare entitlements and enrollments, which I personally happen to find very useful. If reports are critical for you, PeopleSoft can generate reports for frequently requested information. And the solution enables you to create your own customized, ad hoc reports for agency-specific requirements, too. For organizations that rely on analyzing trends, PeopleSoft makes it possible to do that and helps you study the enterprise-wide impact of your programs and policies, such as various benefit-expense ratios. Besides providing you with insights into every transaction made by your company, PeopleSoft can help you decrease compliance and cost issues by centralizing and automating your transactions. I also like PeopleSoft because it offers a suite of HR functionality features that enable you to boost enterprise performance, increase productivity, and reduce potential risk. Some of the other features I appreciate about the product include its managerial time reporting, automated leave planning, its optimized workforce scheduling, and its global payroll architecture. I also find PeopleSoft to be very organized. For example, users can view important data in a single place and can even modify them whenever they have to. In turn, this can help organize the processing of employees’ data and lets them record, review, and monitor their performances. Through its user-friendly interface, you can access PeopleSoft’s distinct features that help your organization manage the supply chain, supplier relationship, human capital, financial, and even enterprise service automation. Because PeopleSoft is created by Oracle, which is a leading software development company, you know it can be trusted. Of all the benefits administration software solutions I researched, I felt that PeopleSoft stood out, and was definitely a solid option, with a great set of features and an affordable pricing model. Overall, when compared with other benefits administration software solutions, I think PeopleSoft is an effective solution.

Manual benefits administration used to take a lot of time, effort, and resources that could have been used elsewhere. Now, there are lots of different softwares available to help business processes become streamlined by automating tasks. Automation also helps save on costs, and makes business processes more efficient and faster. Likewise, an automated benefits administration system eliminates multiple redundant tasks involved in shopping for benefits, enrolling them, handling the billing, ensuring compliance, as well as their administration and management. Besides saving money and time, benefits administration software allows business owners to focus on their core HR practices, growing their business, and building valuable relationships. By not implementing a benefits administration software solution, you risk lagging behind your competitors. Having administration software offers a lot of advantages and is important for a myriad of reasons, some of which include: It helps save a lot of time: Often, HR administrators and their employees spend time on benefits packages and filling in data. With benefits administration software in place, a great deal of time can be saved. In addition, if employees have questions regarding HR information, they can easily find answers on their own, because they have access to their own personal online accounts. Moreover, benefits administration software solutions offer an automated enrollment option, enabling employees to enroll in benefits without HR intervention, which also saves time. It gives you full control: With benefits administration software, employers can efficiently control, monitor, and analyze the entire benefits management process. This includes ensuring that correct amounts from an employee’s payroll deduction are collected, that employee contributions are matched at the right amount against carrier invoices, and much more. It eliminates errors: If the benefits administration process is done manually, there’s a higher likelihood for errors to occur, especially in large organizations. Benefits administration mistakes are often a result of misreading or losing forms. By having benefits administration software, though, data collection is automated, and your data remains safe and secure. Plus, you can always access and restore files. In addition, the data compilation process is integrated with all carriers, so in case the information is updated, it’s available for everyone right away. It ensures compliance: When dealing with benefits administration, it is critical to meet government regulations, such as financial stipulations, medical authorization, labor laws, and others. With benefits administration software, meeting compliance mandates is simple, and some vendors even guarantee that they will pay for any fees that might be incurred by their mistake. It is convenient: Automated benefit administration tools offer many advantages, but one of its biggest benefits is that it is very convenient. With the software, benefits data is available from anywhere and at any time. Whatsmore, automated platforms eliminate the need for loads of papers and therefore free up lots of space in your office. It enhances employees’ experience: Benefits administration software not only effectively facilitates the workflow of any human resources department, but it also helps improve employees’ experience. Most benefits administration software solutions include AI tools that allow employees to manage and change personal information as needed. Additionally, they can update their coverage options during open enrollment as well as at other times when they’ve had a qualifying event, without involving HR administrators. In summary, benefits administration software is important because not only does it lighten work for administrators, but it also impacts employees.
