Used to manage Kubernetes infrastructure, but it doesn't have support from OCI
Spot Ocean is deployed on the cloud in our organization. I would recommend the solution to other users. You need to have an experience with Kubernetes, or else this product is of no use. It is not difficult to learn to use Spot Ocean. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution helps us to manage and scale automatically whenever there is a limit to the increase in the application workflow."
"The solution offers both block access and file access, making it a nice solution for customers."
"VMware vSphere is the best private-cloud solution."
"The connectivity is fantastic, and many functions can run together in one server. If you need to scale, we can continue to add components or modules. It's a beautiful virtual solution that has many advantages over physical hardware, where you have to use devices and wiring to connect all your projects."
"The vMotion feature is beneficial for online migration of virtual machines from one host to another without downtime."
"It's very transparent and independent."
"The virtualization this solution offer is very complete for the infrastructure."
"Its stability and manageability are valuable."
"The most valuable features are the vMotion, the storage vMotion, the DRS, and the high availability function."
"The solution can scale well."

Cons

"The solution doesn't have support from OCI, and it should start working to onboard OCI."
"There are no particular areas for improvement I can identify."
"There should be a bit more flexibility in terms of the hardware we can use with the product."
"The platform's main area for improvement has increased, particularly after Broadcom acquired VMware."
"Stability and manageability need improvement."
"I would like to see improvements in simplifying automation, cloud native deployment, administration, and fault resolution."
"Archiving, exporting, and backing up need to be improved for this solution, because they're slower than expected."
"Customers face challenges due to increased costs after VMware's acquisition by Broadcom. The cost changed from perpetual to subscription, and there is a need for alternative solutions."
"It would be ideal if they could integrate billing software so that clients can customize it directly on the virtual machine."
"In the past, little changes have broken things in vSphere. Going from 6.0, which worked perfectly fine on the Mac Pro, there were certain changes in hardware drivers, when 6.5 came out. Some were no longer present or had been deprecated. As a result, it didn't work on the Mac Pro anymore, which was business critical."
