Has good reusability and CDI features
I use Collibra Data Quality. I switched to Informatica because Collibra cannot integrate. Colibra Cloud Data Quality is a very basic tool. There is no integration capability. If you have problem records, there is no fix to remediate them using the same tool. With Informatica, you can integrate with CDI and then create a remediation plan.

Automation in data management improves with built-in error rejection but technical support needs enhancement
Multiple areas in Microsoft Data Quality Services could be improved, such as its ability to perform changes automatically, as it currently identifies but does not correct data issues. Regular expression processing is complicated and slow. Technical support from Microsoft is poor, as they do not provide adequate assistance with issues encountered in integration or forming automation. Sometimes solutions to problems take several weeks due to a lack of support, relying instead on personal networks and experience.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features of Informatica Cloud Data Quality is Master Data Management. You can write code to build your logic rules to check the quality."
"I would definitely recommend Informatica Data Quality to others."
"The reusability factors are nice. The Cloud Data Quality is much better. A major flaw in the previous version was integration with the catalog, which is now seamless."
"We primarily used Cloud Data Profiling to connect with Cloud Data Governance, a tool also used by Teva. This integration allowed users to access data quality results within the data governance catalog."
"The user-friendliness and performance of Informatica is quite impressive."
"An advantage is its seamless integration with other Informatica capabilities, making data quality a deeply embedded part of the solution."
"The out-of-the-box features and standard profiling options provide quick visibility of the data within minutes, which facilitates discussions with the business."
"Initial setup was fairly easy."
"The primary advantage of Microsoft Data Quality Services is its capability to automate certain tasks, which are otherwise achieved through SQL queries."
"This solution is particularly useful for data enrichment."

Cons

"Improving the UI to be more business user-friendly would also be beneficial."
"Support response time could be better."
"The high price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"If given the opportunity, I would like to address these concerns, particularly with regard to enhancing the end-user experience."
"The integration with older technology and cloud quality needs improvement."
"The downside of Informatica Cloud Data Quality is that it requires a developer to write rules and maintain the systems. This creates a significant cost and time burden."
"Logical views are a little bit behind in comparison to the on-premise version."
"You cannot import the data discovery rules you create in the solution to the Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC)."
"Technical support from Microsoft is poor, as they do not provide adequate assistance with issues encountered in integration or forming automation."
"I would rate my experience with the initial setup a six out of ten, with one being very easy and ten being extremely challenging. So, there is room for improvement in the setup process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Informatica Cloud Data Quality is a costly solution."
"The licensing costs attached to the solution are pretty high, but then, with the cloud model, the prices depend on what it provides for the value of money, which I feel was very high."
"We pay for a yearly subscription."
"The pricing is in the midrange. It's not cheap, but it depends on the licenses you require."
