Consistent threat hunting and anomaly detection deliver valuable insights for network security management
In terms of improvement for Darktrace, pricing is the main concern. Pricing bothers me and this is one of the major factors when choosing a solution. When we get feedback from customers, that's the only felt need. When we factor in Darktrace, we do it only limited. We put it on where the perimeters and connections are, but still, some gray areas are left out, especially if we have multiple branches. We need Darktrace on each branch to get the data out, and I suggest having some kind of a centralized product that gets data from multiple sources to aggregate and provide the data.

Cost effective but when we originally purchased LANGuardian, some features needed further development.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One member of staff is enough for deployment and maintenance because Darkforce is AI-driven; it does a lot of things by itself."
"Its most valuable feature is its ability to identify malicious connected IPs from outside and the attacks that get through to the inside."
"Darktrace's most valuable features are its dashboards and its ability to summarize huge amounts of information about threats and suspicious traffic."
"I would 100% recommend Darktrace."
"The most valuable part of the product is the whole package, as the features included in the Enterprise Immune System are complete and effective and its detection engine is ridiculously good."
"This solution can reduce the resources required to run a security operation center by two-thirds."
"The most valuable features of Darktrace are its full capabilities, as you have visibility of everything happening on your network, emails, and SaaS applications."
"I have used multiple solutions, but its graphical user interface is quite interesting and quite descriptive. There are a lot of video animations, and we can easily see how the data is transferred between various points. That's something really interesting. It is also quite easy to understand for a new user."
"Our CIO asked us to track down the source of undesired uploads, which trigger e-mails received by outside bodies regarding what they refer to as "copyright violations", and Languardian was the most efficient and effective tool for the job."
"If you are looking for a solid solution that can be easily deployed then I'd recommend considering Netfort solutions."

Cons

"The solution would benefit from automation. Currently, you have to know what you are searching for."
"The pricing is costly in USD, and they charge based on device counts."
"It is expensive, but everything else has been great so far."
"I would like to see more protection in the endpoint. Especially because we have a lot of people using VPNs. If they would improve end point security, it would give more control there."
"The Darktrace Mobile app needs improvement as it's currently limited in functionality, and the learning AI takes a while to adapt to new devices, flagging new users as threats for up to a month before recognizing them as regular network users."
"It's a very complex platform."
"The level of tracking within the network from the transmission level up to the machine level can use improvement."
"Getting logs from different sources can be a challenge."
"It takes a long time to load results. I think it would be great if they fix the slowness issue in the next release."
"Sure, at the time we bought the product, the GUI and graphs/reports/pie charts etc ... were not fully developed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is quite high, estimated at around $350,000 per year."
"The product is expensive."
"I am using a demo of Darktrace for deployment and testing which is free."
"There is an annual license to use Darktrace."
"This solution is expensive."
"They are too expensive compared with other vendors."
"Prior to negotiating, Darktrace offered their appliance and service for $80,000 per year."
"It is expensive. I don't have the price for other competitors."
