Tells us about vulnerabilities as well as their impact and helps to focus on real issues
Looking at all the different pieces, it has got everything we need. Some of the pieces we do not even use. For example, we do not have Kubernetes Security. We are not running any K8 clusters, so it is good for us. Overall, we find the solution to be fantastic. There can be additional education components. This may not be truly fair to them because of what the product is going for, but it would be great to see additional education for compliance. It is not a criticism of the tool per se, but anything to help non-development resources understand some of the complexities of the cloud is always appreciated. Any additional educational resources are always helpful for security teams, especially those without a development background.

Evolved cloud security with active monitoring but needs interface consistency
The user interface needs work. Sometimes, it is a transition from the old tool to the new CNAPP Two that I currently have, and remnants of the old environment can still be detected. I require consistency in the user interface to ensure everything is streamlined into the same look and feel. More work is needed in fine-tuning the threat data towards your CSPM and activity logs, aligning them with business intelligence, which requires a cohesive console interface. My assessment of CloudGuard CDRs in intrusion detection and threat hunting capabilities is that it still needs some work. All the threat data that comes in, you need to fine tune it a bit.

Enhanced remote security with reasonable pricing and room for better support
The idea behind ZeroTrust is to significantly reduce security operations within your company. It helps in reducing hidden costs associated with these operations. Using ZeroTrust solutions also reduces the security surface, which is very important. During the COVID period, companies using this solution were able to reduce their employees as the platform minimized the need for an extensive security team.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Singularity Cloud Workload Security provides us with better security detection and more visibility. It is another resource that we can use to detect vulnerabilities in our company's systems. For example, it can help us detect new file processes that we are not familiar with, which could be used by attackers to exploit our systems. Singularity Cloud Workload Security can also help us diagnose and analyze data to determine whether it is malicious or not. Singularity Cloud Workload Security is like another pair of eyes that can help us protect our systems from cyberattacks."
"The most valuable aspect of Singularity Cloud Security is its unified dashboard."
"SentinelOne stands out with its responsiveness to feature requests for Singularity Cloud Security."
"The solution's most valuable features are its ability to detect vulnerabilities inside AWS resources and its ability to rescan after a specific duration set by the administrator."
"I would definitely recommend this product to other members, vendors, or users, as it covers security posture management, auditing, documentation, and compliance management."
"The solution helped free other staff to work on other projects or other tasks. We basically just had to do a bunch of upfront configuring. With it, we do not have to spend as much time in the console."
"The most valuable feature is the notification system, providing real-time alerts and comparisons crucial for maintaining security."
"All the features we use are equal and get the job done."
"I value the comfort and the ability to receive proper insights almost hands-off."
"I love the work involved in maintaining and scaling security services and configurations across multiple public clouds using this solution, versus using native native cloud security controls. It is so much better. The different cloud platforms all have their own way that they handle a lot of the stuff that Dome9 handles. Even within their platform, they are in a lot of disparate places, e.g., in AWS, there are five different tools. You have to jump between them to get the same information that you can just pull in automatically on Dome9, which is just one platform. We are using multiple platforms, so that makes it even more complicated and time consuming if you had to just rely on them to get all of your information. Whereas, it's all just summarized and put together on the Dome9 end."
"Assets Management as it provide complete visibility of our workload inkling EC2 instance or Serverless"
"It is able to bring visibility into that cloudy space where the security departments do not really see what is happening on the DevOps side. It brings visibility, security control, and standardization."
"People implementing this solution are concerned with addressing a significant risk, and within the AWS realm, this tool does de-risk substantially."
"It offers a range of features tailored to address the unique security challenges."
"CloudGuard's best feature is real-time detection. We can detect incidents and vulnerabilities in our code with one click."
"Dome9 continues to be a major piece of our cloud security architecture and has given our senior leadership team a high degree of confidence in our ability to protect our cloud environment."
"Due to COVID, many employees work from home, requiring a secure VPN solution. Most of the ZeroTrust platforms integrate VPN and serve as a web proxy, securing the VPN site."

Cons

"In addition to our telecom and Slack channels, it would be helpful to receive Cloud Native Security security notifications in Microsoft Teams."
"We recently adopted a new ticket management solution, so we've asked them to include a connector to integrate that tool with Cloud Native Security directly. We'd also like to see Cloud Native Security add a scan for personally identifying information. We're looking at other tools for this capability, but having that functionality built into Cloud Native Security would be nice. Monitoring PII data is critical to us as an organization."
"The areas with room for improvement include the cost, which is higher compared to other security platforms. The dashboard can also be laggy."
"While it is good, I think the solution's console could be improved."
"In version 2, a lot of rules have been deployed for Kubernetes security and CDR, which makes a lot of issues of critical severity, whereas they are not critical or of high severity. There is a mismatch of severities. They need to work on severity management."
"We are experiencing problems with Cloud Native Security reporting."
"Bugs need to be disclosed quickly."
"It does not bring much threat intel from the outside world. All it does is scan. If it can also correlate things, it will be better."
"Automatic remediation requires read/write access. When providing read/write access to third-party applications, this can add risk. It should have some options of triggering API calls to the cloud platform, which in turn, can make the required changes."
"Especially with cloud security, there's too much clutter on the screen and too many things going on."
"The price of this solution should be reduced so that it is more affordable to scale."
"CloudGuard's reporting could be better. It's good now, but there is room for improvement. If you're looking for a centralized platform, there are a lot of features that can be appreciated. However, you want complete security integration with SaaS, DAST, secret scanning, etc., and a single platform for all these features."
"We want to be able to customize the solution more in order to meet the needs of our company."
"The costs are really high if you want the entire capabilities of the platform."
"I'd like to see more advanced encryption for local features, which is not present right now."
"The integration process could be enhanced by enabling integration at the organizational level rather than requiring the manual setup of individual accounts."
"Xtended ZeroTrust should consider improvements in technical support and pricing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not that expensive. There are some tools that are double the cost of PingSafe. It is good on the pricing side."
"For pricing, it currently seems to be in line with market rates."
"Pricing is based on modules, which was ideal for us."
"It is a little expensive. I would rate it a four out of ten for pricing."
"The tool is cost-effective."
"We have an enterprise license. It is affordable. I'm not sure, but I think we pay 150,000 rupees per month."
"We found it to be fine for us. Its price was competitive. It was something we were happy with. We are not a Fortune 500 company, so I do not know how pricing scales at the top end, but for our cloud environment, it works very well."
"Its pricing is constant. It has been constant over the previous year, so I am happy with it. However, price distribution can be better explained. That is the only area I am worried about. Otherwise, the pricing is very reasonable."
"Its price is very fair."
"The solution’s pricing is a little bit high."
"The pricing is tremendous and super cheap. It is shockingly cheap for what you get out of it. I am happy with that. I hope that doesn't get reported back and they increase the prices. I love the pricing and the licensing makes sense. It is just assets: The more stuff that you have, the more you pay."
"From a pricing perspective, they are pretty expensive."
"The licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads (number of instances) within one license with no additional nor hidden charges. If you want to have 200 workloads under Dome9, then you need to take out two licenses for that. Also, it does not have any impact on cloud billing, as data is shared using the API call. This is well within the limit of free API calls provided by the cloud provider."
"It is difficult to contextualize the pricing because we are used to Indian pricing and licensing."
"CloudGuard is fairly priced."
"The tool's pricing is moderate. Its licensing costs are yearly."
