We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is very user friendly. There are not a lot of clicks and buttons. The tool helps me with the installations. The user can do the installation rather than having a technical guide. I also like the browsing stream. It has a good dashboard.""The support for ARCON ARSIM is very good.""Good for productivity checking."

"This solution helps to keep everything visible, and it also alerts us if something is wrong, such as if someone opened extra ports or services that they are not supposed to. This is a valuable tool for monitoring and maintaining our cloud environment.""The audit feature is the most valuable for compliance reasons. It gives you a full view of the whole environment, no matter how many accounts you have in AWS or Azure. You have it all under one umbrella.""Good interface and visibility.""Dome9 continues to be a major piece of our cloud security architecture and has given our senior leadership team a high degree of confidence in our ability to protect our cloud environment.""I can take proactive actions based on an alert without having to interact with the platform directly.""It provides critical insights that enable the IT team to plan and launch smart investigations when there are security breaches.""The reporting against compliance is an important feature that helps you comply with policies and standards within your organization.""The most valuable feature is the ability to work with the APIs to integrate into our own backend systems."

Cons
"The automation needs to be improved.""As for what can be improved, definitely pricing. Customers look for pricing and ARCON is a little more expensive than Thycotic. So the pricing model could be improved.""I would love to have all the products. Currently they have all the server operating systems and network operating systems but they should have all the other devices also included, like security devices. That's what I think is missing. They should also improve the license audit part. If I want to do a license audit from this tool, I'm not able to do it right now."

"Currently, I would like this solution extended to cellular devices or tablets.""Dome9 should also support deployments that are on-premises and in a hybrid cloud.""Compliance checks on cloud resources against various industry standards and compliance framework templates need to be improved.""The user interface could be improved. Sometimes, the visibility is not immediately available for the environment. We have the native servers that come with the solutions, but we cannot see them in the Check Point log. Another issue is with the integrated file monitoring. It would make sense to have stuff like file integrity monitoring and malware scanning available within this module because we don't want to integrate another product.""The entire system is complicated, and the setup process may not cater to the company's demands.""No improvements are needed.""Addressing the large amount of compliance information and benchmarks we need to observe, the tools are becoming our goto dashboards.""We're looking for a solution that can incorporate legacy infrastructure for some of our business needs."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "They support either annual licensing or hourly. At the time of our last negotiation, it was either one or the other, you could not mix or match. I would have liked to mix/match. "
  • "I would advise taking into account the existing number of devices and add a forecast of the number of devices to be added in the coming year or two, to obtain better pricing."
  • "It is a very straightforward licensing model that is based on the number of assets you are discovering and managing with the solution."
  • "The licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads (number of instances) within one license with no additional nor hidden charges. If you want to have 200 workloads under Dome9, then you need to take out two licenses for that. Also, it does not have any impact on cloud billing, as data is shared using the API call. This is well within the limit of free API calls provided by the cloud provider."
  • "I suggest that you pay attention to the product pricing because while there are no tricks, and the licensing model is transparent, the final numbers may surprise you."
  • "Right now, we have licenses on 500 machines, and they are not cheap."
  • "The pricing is tremendous and super cheap. It is shockingly cheap for what you get out of it. I am happy with that. I hope that doesn't get reported back and they increase the prices. I love the pricing and the licensing makes sense. It is just assets: The more stuff that you have, the more you pay."
  • "Licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads within one license and no additional charges."
