Cohesity Data Cloud comes with a different flavor where they provide global deduplication across multiple platforms, which provides a tremendous return on investment from a storage perspective because if you have a segment that can be deduplicated in one box and you have multiple boxes, you cannot repeat the deduplication function across different hardware.

The clone feature is very nice. You can restore workloads onto Cohesity's storage, which is also nice to have when you don't have enough space to restore on the server.

The only concern I have with cloud implementation is that if you have a presence on-premises, trying to use the cloud may become a performance challenge.

It has never been touted as a tier-one storage platform, and that would be a benefit. They are currently working on solving that issue.

The limitation that I see in Cohesity is that the minimum sized node is 36 terabytes, which is more than a small customer needs.
