A robust solution that provides comprehensive protection for data centers, offering agentless security, powerful intrusion prevention, and a wide range of security features
The primary focus of data center security often revolves around serving customers who offer services to other clients within the data center. For example, if I operate a data center and provide security services, third-party customers might purchase virtual machine products within my data center. These products are automatically deployed, and we safeguard these virtual machines using intrusion prevention system features. This aspect is considered the most valuable part because when we set up these security policies, it's as if we're fortifying the entire infrastructure. It's not just about having good technical support; it's about having a robust IPS and comprehensive DOS prevention system on those operating systems. The advantage of Data Center Security is its ease of use and that it serves as a single unified platform, where I can apply all my security policies to protect that server.

Comprehensive protection and seamless integration elevate security experience
A positive aspect of Trellix MOVE AntiVirus is that our biggest feature prevents users from installing USB drives. We don't have the issue of distributing viruses or transfer of files. They always track harmful files before they can enter the computer system. It protects against unnecessary use of external storage devices. It also gives protection to all the systems, on-premise or out of the premises, online, including the server. The server sends periodic updates to all the systems connected to it. We have administrative overhead as we have centralized management for Trellix MOVE AntiVirus. We can monitor all our computers that are currently using Trellix MOVE AntiVirus. We can monitor all their vital points. If they are online, offline, if they are being attacked by any viruses, anything that we need to take action upon, it will be on our centralized overview application.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature is the endpoint protection system."
"The monitoring in the management console allows us to find out what is going wrong, and it gets reports even before the user reports it."
"Good file integrity monitoring features."
"The real strength lies in its straightforward approach, offering just two key policies: prevention and detection."
"The most valuable feature is the centralized console, which can handle different products that we have."
"The advantage of Data Center Security is its ease of use and that it serves as a single unified platform, where I can apply all my security policies to protect that server."
"The ability to finely control permissions and restrictions on servers or assets through a customizable rule set is a key strength."
"The granularity of applying the policies is valuable."
"The product offers good compatibility with other solutions and has good integration potential."
"McAfee MOVE's most valuable features are DLP, hardware control, and content filtering."
"It's minimal and not too heavy on the system."
"It's valuable for protection and internet safety."
"It provides helpful popups."
"The most valuable features are the integration with different modules like the DLP."
"There are tons of valuable features, including threat protection and antivirus."
"The customer service is very helpful."

Cons

"The product blocks certain processes, even after allowlisting them."
"Could have better reporting capabilities and better support."
"They need to develop a more flexible product that can be scaled such that it fits well into a small business or a bigger, enterprise-level solution."
"It would be advantageous if Symantec or Broadcom, given the rebranding, could simplify the process, enabling users to leverage the antivirus functionality more easily."
"Adding more compatibility with common products like Microsoft would be a plus."
"There is room for improvement in enhancing its graphical user interface for a more user-friendly experience."
"The support is very bad. They're not fast at all. Trend Micro's support is much better."
"Agent management is a challenging task."
"Sometimes, the updates don't happen successfully. The updates start, but they are not completed. Let's say there is a process that runs on the server-side every night, and it pushes the updates. Sometimes, these updates fail. I'm not sure whether it is a McAfee's problem or an internal problem with our systems. If this is really an issue with McAfee MOVE AntiVirus, McAfee can work on it and improve it in the next release. If it is an internal issue, I need to figure out why it is happening within the organization. We may need to take some technical support from McAfee to see what the problem is and then we need to get it fixed. At this point in time, all I know is that it happens sometimes."
"McAfee could improve the administrative interface. It's functional but could be more user-friendly."
"I pay for the licensing on an annual basis."
"They could try to introduce advanced threat detection."
"This solution could be improved by faster performance. If I have other processes running, McAfee slows my laptop down."
"The solution could improve by making the dashboards better."
"We started using MOVE Antivirus because our security staff required it. And I personally haven't seen the difference because I haven't had any issues so far that McAfee addresses."
"It's resiliency needs improvement."
