Streamlined lead capture has boosted web performance and made form handling more efficient
Currently, we are not using Cloudflare's security suite to the level much, as Cloudflare by default provides DDoS support; we are just using Cloudflare's DDoS support, which by default protects against denial-of-service attacks. I have used Cloudflare Workers' key-value pair for data storage. It has helped with data access efficiency, especially the data collection of the forms, as key-value pairs are easy to connect, and we are able to validate information much sooner, checking the mobile number. I assess the execution speed of Cloudflare Workers to be faster, at least providing a 30-40% increase compared to traditional server-based architectures, at a minimum. I have noticed time efficiency as the best return on investment with Cloudflare Workers; I am not seeing anything else, as time is the major one. We are planning to integrate WebAssembly with Cloudflare Workers, but we have not done it. I think we are good with Cloudflare Workers as we were having initial troubles with the ID integration, such as Visual Studio Code, but they have started adding some support when we start using their default packages, which can test locally as well as work in deployment; it is easier now, although the documentation can improve. I think the pricing of Cloudflare Workers is decent; it is good.

Can connect to any data source so we don't need to replicate data into a data warehouse to do reporting analytics
Having been a customer of theirs for a long time, I think the UI needed improvements early on. But, they have done a remarkable job catching up in that regard. They have always been great at connecting to a variety of data sources. They are a leader in that space. They do a great job, from a business analyst perspective, helping you shape what the ultimate system is going to look like. There really aren't a lot of areas that need improvement. The areas that they have, they are keenly aware of and have made great strides in recent releases.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The overall positive impact and benefits I have observed since starting to work with Cloudflare Workers have been good; easy testing, setting up, and testing and deployments are much simpler, and the performance is good with faster execution; it appears to be made for the use case that we want, so it is good."
"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare Workers is that the data is on the edge."
"Overall, Cloudflare Workers is a very good solution."
"The fact that it's no-code is one of the most important features because it allows us to deliver very quickly. We can get the value to the business delivered much more quickly than with other solutions."
"Efficiency has skyrocketed thanks to Zudy, as reports and queries that used to take hours for us now only take minutes."
"The product is super fast at getting things done."
"When it comes to the speed of development of the applications with Zudy VINYL it has been the fastest and most powerful that I've been able to do. We've tried building things from scratch. It takes an enormous amount of time. We've cut that time by probably a fifth, with more power. I've been very happy with the speed of doing things in Zudy VINYL."
"Zudy VINYL has delivered all the things that we've dreamt up and asked; it's been a really awesome 18 months so far, and we're excited for the next 18 months and beyond for where we're going to go with our partnership with them."
"It is a platform which can grow with us and get us out of spreadsheets."
"The ability to build apps quickly by connecting to almost any data source, while having workflow and routing, really give you the ability to enhance more static systems and drive value to the business."
"VINYL's flexibility: We have been able to leverage the platform to rapidly build custom solutions, and tailor-make them to our needs."

Cons

"The stability and reliability of Cloudflare Workers have been good, except for a few incidents that happened recently where Cloudflare was down, causing some disturbances very lately, in the last few months."
"In general, the security of the product could be improved with minimal latency due to its many points of presence."
"Monitoring needs improvement. It's a bit difficult to understand how many failures occur and manage logging effectively."
"When designing the user interface, there are many built-in features; however, Vinyl could use some more extensive design elements that are used in marketing, such as Canva or Web design tools. These would allow for more extensive design elements to be added more easily."
"The ease of use for individuals to self-serve could be improved. The solution is no-code, but there is still a decent learning curve associated with the product and some app design principles necessary before people can self-serve."
"I'd like to see the next release of VINYL have more user interface solutions to it, so that it could be a more user-friendly product on the front end for the customers that are utilizing the tool. We didn't have a solution to help automate all of our reporting in the past which identified the need to make sure that we could tap into our data sources and automate all of our reporting, which is exactly why we needed the tool."
"I don't have a lot of negative things to say about the platform."
"Right now it's very dependent on having an imagination to understand."
"Perhaps the UI could be improved."
"I sometimes find formatting tricky to get the front end of an app the way I want it."
"The calendar has room for improvement, but that's what they're going to be working on next, to make a Gantt chart."

"The pricing is moderate. It's okay."
"The pricing and the licensing of Zudy are reasonable. Pricing is always a tricky thing. It could be a little simpler, but they're doing well. I'm happy with it."
"Pricing and licensing are expensive."
"I feel the product’s pricing is a good value. The licensing model is very straightforward. You license the platform and you can build however many solutions you want with it."
"Compared to if I used traditional methods, such as hiring developers and setting up systems, VINYL is costing me less than half of what it would normally cost."
"It is affordable."
"The value for us for VINYL is that we've got one fee that we're paying per year and we can deploy and build as many apps and bring in as many users as we need."
