Streamlined lead capture has boosted web performance and made form handling more efficient
Currently, we are not using Cloudflare's security suite to the level much, as Cloudflare by default provides DDoS support; we are just using Cloudflare's DDoS support, which by default protects against denial-of-service attacks. I have used Cloudflare Workers' key-value pair for data storage. It has helped with data access efficiency, especially the data collection of the forms, as key-value pairs are easy to connect, and we are able to validate information much sooner, checking the mobile number. I assess the execution speed of Cloudflare Workers to be faster, at least providing a 30-40% increase compared to traditional server-based architectures, at a minimum. I have noticed time efficiency as the best return on investment with Cloudflare Workers; I am not seeing anything else, as time is the major one. We are planning to integrate WebAssembly with Cloudflare Workers, but we have not done it. I think we are good with Cloudflare Workers as we were having initial troubles with the ID integration, such as Visual Studio Code, but they have started adding some support when we start using their default packages, which can test locally as well as work in deployment; it is easier now, although the documentation can improve. I think the pricing of Cloudflare Workers is decent; it is good.

It has sped up the app development process, enabling us to release a public version of the app much quicker
Some aspects of VINYL are limiting from a B2C standpoint. For example, it would be nice to have more flexibility with what the VINYL parameters allow us to develop within the app. It is difficult to think of an example off the top of my head, but there have been times when we couldn't develop something a particular way because VINYL didn't support it. However, the team Zudy assigned to us has been great about adjusting and finding ways around these hurdles.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare Workers is that the data is on the edge."
"The overall positive impact and benefits I have observed since starting to work with Cloudflare Workers have been good; easy testing, setting up, and testing and deployments are much simpler, and the performance is good with faster execution; it appears to be made for the use case that we want, so it is good."
"Overall, Cloudflare Workers is a very good solution."
"There are two most valuable features: one is the ability to pull data from a bunch of different places and put them together. And the second is the speed at which you can get a new app developed. So instead of waiting months for this new app to come out, if you have an internal team putting it together, you can roll it out in weeks. I've even seen days. It's incredible how fast you can make changes."
"The most valuable features are its flexibility and rapid development; we need to be able to find stuff quickly and produce solutions to our users, and as a quickly changing, rapidly integrating company, this solution allows us to keep pushing forward and ensures our continuous improvement."
"Maintenance is very minimal. With our live production applications, they just don't break, which is great. We love that. There's zero-to-little maintenance required."
"The ability to build apps quickly by connecting to almost any data source, while having workflow and routing, really give you the ability to enhance more static systems and drive value to the business."
"One of the most valuable features of the solution is how rapid we can implement it, going from a design to an operational concept in a very short period of time."
"VINYL's flexibility: We have been able to leverage the platform to rapidly build custom solutions, and tailor-make them to our needs."
"Our return on investment has been huge."
"Our partnership with Zudy has really worked out for us."

Cons

"Monitoring needs improvement. It's a bit difficult to understand how many failures occur and manage logging effectively."
"The stability and reliability of Cloudflare Workers have been good, except for a few incidents that happened recently where Cloudflare was down, causing some disturbances very lately, in the last few months."
"In general, the security of the product could be improved with minimal latency due to its many points of presence."
"I don't have a lot of negative things to say about the platform. One of the things we joke about, because it is very minor in detail, is that as with any platform, when you're hosting a live webinar on a GoToMeeting or a Zoom, everything slows down a little bit. So when you're doing a live demo internally with folks, the platform can go a step slower. That's not necessarily just a Zudy thing."
"The features that I'd like to see in VINYL next would be the ability to have more control over or have a rule-based control over column headings and column labels."
"It might help if they put out different types that would provide different ways to view the data."
"When you are trying to delete certain columns or delete or drop tables, it will throw an error and it will force you to hunt down every location where those things are being referenced. You have to delete them from the very end and work your way backward... It would be easier, when you're deleting that table, if it would concatenate all the way down."
"I'd like to see the next release of VINYL have more user interface solutions to it, so that it could be a more user-friendly product on the front end for the customers that are utilizing the tool."
"I'd like to see the next release of VINYL have more user interface solutions to it, so that it could be a more user-friendly product on the front end for the customers that are utilizing the tool. We didn't have a solution to help automate all of our reporting in the past which identified the need to make sure that we could tap into our data sources and automate all of our reporting, which is exactly why we needed the tool."
"I would love to have the home screen a little more customizable because, as we're building more and more reports, it would be nice to have more options in how they're organized on the screen."
"Upload time of documents that needed to be uploaded was a request that we were having an issue with. That issue got resolved in [near] real time, within probably 30 minutes."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The pricing is moderate. It's okay."
"It is affordable."
"I feel the product’s pricing is a good value. The licensing model is very straightforward. You license the platform and you can build however many solutions you want with it."
"The pricing and licensing of Zudy are fair."
"Pricing was actually one of the things that drew us to the product initially... the way it was licensed at the time, I got a flat monthly fee from Zudy for the Vinyl product, which allowed me to basically have unlimited use of it... We have an annual license, we pay monthly. It's very competitive and very worthwhile given the return we get out of it."
"We haven't really had any issues with pricing. Like with any good partnership, you're paying a fair and good price for a good product. That's where great partnerships are developed, when one side doesn't feel like they won in a deal; when both sides feel like they won. That's where we are with Zudy VINYL."
"Pricing and licensing are on par with or better than what we were looking at and what we had. That was also one of the key factors for making the decision. We cut our costs in half by going over to the Zudy platform."
"The licensing costs we pay are, I believe about 5,000 a month. That's every quarter. We've been doing it for about a year now, and the prices have remained steady. We feel it's a reasonable cost for what we're getting because it's unlimited users. So as big as you want to make it, you're not constrained by a per-user licensing cost or any of those other restrictions, so that's going to stifle your development."
