How has it helped my organization?

It lets us communicate our news faster and in a more engaging way.

What needs improvement?

The editor itself, as it is sometimes a bit complicated to find the features you need. Also, sometimes I find it difficult to work with the system in general (I find it too difficult). However, I think it's more about preference than anything else.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've used it for two years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

There were some issues.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

No issues encountered.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

No issues encountered.

How are customer service and support?

Customer Service: It's very high. Technical Support: It's very high. A good example is that they're always keen on helping - I had some problems with the system and they were there with me all the time until the problem was solved. So I can say their customer service is top level.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I use MailChimp from time to time.

How was the initial setup?

It was straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented it in-house.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I also use MailChimp.

What other advice do I have?

Evaluate the design and features - if they match your desires, Mailigen's yours.

It takes getting used to, but the support teams are good and fast.

What is most valuable?

  • Full customization of every detail of the HTML template
  • Easy reporting for our marketing department

How has it helped my organization?

We were able to send, to our potential clients, a mail proposal and follow who is clicking and reading what in order to prepare additional customized and adjusted offers according to their interest. It also helped us identify which email addresses in our database were outdated.

What needs improvement?

We tried using IT as a survey tool, but at that time the feature was new and did not offer as much functionality as for example Google spreadsheets.

I've used it over three years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

No issues encountered.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's been flawless.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Once we added a huge database of clients and potential clients and our pricing plan was a bit costly. Their support team then came up with an individual offer and recommended a plan switch. We have been satisfied ever since.

How are customer service and technical support?

Customer Service:

I have contacted them a few times and they got back to me in an hour. Since they have introduced the chat feature it now takes no more than 15 minutes to get the answer.

Technical Support:

It goes hand in hand with the customer service; good and fast.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I was using Mailchimp. I switched because Mailchimp did not allow full control of our mailing template and Mailigen was cheaper to maintain for our client basis.

How was the initial setup?

It takes getting used to, but there are several videos that guide you through it all.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented it ourselves.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We paid US$60 for 5,000 e-mails, and when we run out of credits we just buy more.

What other advice do I have?

Mailigen offers a lot of webinars and videos not only about e-mail marketing but tendencies in e-commerce in general. Get acquainted with the best principles of building an email newsletter and then start building your own.
