Customizable features, seamless integration, and powerful analytics capabilities, enhancing efficiency and decision-making across diverse organizational departments
It's an exceptionally robust and seamlessly integrated solution that has greatly facilitated our operations. It has been employed for change management and process automation. We've integrated it into our incident management system, utilizing various services and ensuring adherence to SLAs with customers monthly. It's a comprehensive solution tailored for handling these tasks efficiently. The customization and integration capabilities not only enhance our IT service management but also extend to other departments. We can utilize them to create requests and even incorporate visuals for various departments beyond IT. The reporting and analytics abilities within Remedy have been instrumental in facilitating data-driven decision-making. With its excellent interface for data analytics, we're able to gain valuable insights. Additionally, there are numerous features geared towards enhancing analytics with visual intelligence, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of our data.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We can create our own profile in BMC Remedy, track how many tickets we've closed on a daily basis, monitor how many SLAs we've escalated, and see how many tickets we've received daily."
"The solution helps us manage, escalate, and solve incidents."
"The asset discovery feature in BMC is notably better compared to ServiceNow."
"The most valuable feature of BMC Remedy is to take administrative access of a user."
"The solution helps to manage the operational flow in our organization."
"It has a good peer sharing module."
"The solution is extremely user-friendly."
"You can develop plugins in different languages, and the workflows can be easily developed depending on the user's needs."
"The technical support is great."
"The auto-discovery feature has helped us a lot."
"In my opinion, it is the MDM; patch management and deployment are the valuable features."

Cons

"If a user isn't using an out-of-the-box configuration, it can get a bit complex."
"However, from a stability perspective, we sometimes had issues, like running out of resources, maxing out, database issues, and the server freezing out and functioning at fifty percent."
"In BMC Remedy, integration is a problem and even APIs are not available."
"The initial setup of BMC Remedy Asset Management was complex."
"There is room for improvement in integration with various platforms. The support services should be improved. The response time from the support team should be faster."
"The product's scalability is one area with certain shortcomings that need to be considered for improvement."
"Integration and deployment could be better. It could be easier and faster to integrate and deploy. It would also help if we could have a 360-degree view. It would be better if they changed it to a SaaS type of offering, which is becoming the standard."
"One area that requires improvement is the prevention of duplicates or data inconsistencies in the system."
"The asset management tool is costly."
"The assets that can be discovered are pretty easy to manage, but there should be a better way to manage non-discoverable assets. Our development team works on bots and tests particular hardware. They have got different varieties of hardware. They want a feature for managing these assets within a warehouse kind of environment. For example, our IT has received 100 items, and they have assigned these items as a bulk unit to a project manager. The project manager further wants to distribute these items within his or her team. Instead of maintaining a separate Excel sheet, the project manager should be able to reallocate these items from within the tool so that we have hierarchical entities for the same unit."
"The engineering area needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"BMC no longer sells Remedy separately. They've transitioned to selling the BMC Helix platform. Remedy itself is nearing end-of-support."
"With the product, you can either go for a yearly or a perpetual licensing model."
"BMC should decrease the pricing further."
"The pricing is in-between. It's not too cheap, and it's not too expensive. For a large organization, it's worth it. But for a smaller one, it might be a bit costly."
"The pricing is on the expensive side."
"The product is costly. On one to ten points, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the product's price as nine."
"The licensing model of BMC Remedy Asset Management should improve. It is expensive and it is difficult to understand."
"I find the pricing to be reasonable."
"Its price is reasonable, but I wish it was lower."
