It's simple to deploy and integrates seamlessly with the Azure environment
We use DDoS Protection to protect public IPs exposed through Azure. Everything in our product with a public IP is protected. It still provides protection once our product is onboarded on the subscription.  The solution gives us alerts when something is triggered or if it detects anything strange…

Stops attacks and lets us know what is happening in real time and during the day
The platform for administration and review of attacks that are occurring or have occurred is very dynamic and easy to use and administer. As a service provider, we use the SecOps dashboard feature. That's where we check the time of attacks to see if an attack is happening at the moment or if it has already happened, and we gather information such as how long the attack took. It is very dynamic and helps us know when an attack occurred, how long it lasted, and what type of attack it was. With this functionality, we have the information we need at hand. We know what is happening in real time and what has happened during the day. We review the dashboard for control issues, and we generate and maintain controls with antivirus attack themes. For monitoring and reporting metrics, the dashboards are very useful. We generate controls for DDoS attacks monthly, and it makes that very easy. In addition, it helps us understand what happened. It's so easy to see what is happening, both in real time and at the time the reports or alerts are generated. In our organization, the SecOps dashboards are managed by technical staff only. Other people in the company do not have access to it. But if they were shown to a person who is more administrative or managerial, they would understand them because they are easy to understand. I have shown certain screenshots to senior staff, and they were easily able to comprehend them. With this tool, you can express yourself in front of a person who is not involved in IT. Its ability to detect attacks in real time is very effective. It features comprehensive automation because the signatures update themselves automatically. Plus, it can detect Zero-day attacks and possible attacks that are not yet known. That has also been of great value to us.

Pros

"DDoS Protection is simple to deploy and integrates seamlessly with the Azure environment. Ease of deployment is a crucial feature for us."
"This solution is the best option for us because we use a lot of Microsoft products. So, it is easy for us to deploy or integrate any features or products."
"I like the user interface, documentation, and support. Azure DDoS Protection is one of the most valuable solutions for any endpoint that is publicly reachable through the internet. It will automatically secure all your endpoints from third-party attacks, cyber attacks, or phishing attacks."
"The most important feature is that the solution continuously monitors traffic by inbuilt rules to identify preconfigured attacks."
"Azure DDoS Protection offers superior protection against denial-of-service attacks."
"The most valuable feature of Azure DDoS Protection is that it performs well."
"All of our traffic has to pass through the appliance, so we can very quickly mitigate the attack. This is a very valuable feature. On top of that, it's not only volumetric attack protection that the solution offers, but also layer 7 attack protection as well."
"The reporting is very good and provides us with a comprehensive description of where attacks are emanating from."
"As a service provider, we use the SecOps dashboard feature. That's where we check the time of attacks to see if an attack is happening at the moment or if it has already happened... It is very dynamic and helps us know when an attack occurred, how long it lasted, and what type of attack it was."
"They have a hybrid model approach if a client wants to go that way."
"The pricing is reasonable. It's not overly expensive."
"It has not gone down for a quite long time. It's working fine."
"The product integrates well with Cisco."
"Radware DefensePro is one of the best solutions for on-premise protection."

Cons

"The reporting aspect and dashboard management monitoring need improvement."
"The implementation of Azure DDoS Protection results in a decrease in our bandwidth capacity and should be optimized to reduce resource consumption."
"Azure DDoS Protection could improve on the reporting."
"Sometimes, it is hard for our staff to keep track of changes (in the GUI) between different projects, because there are constant changes. As a result, it is hard to manage, recall, and see all the features because they have been moved from one place to another."
"The visibility could be better. We would like to have better metrics, so we could see all the information in a central place."
"The UI needs to be improved."
"I would like to see more focus on layer seven protection."
"There's room for improvement in the clarity of the feedback provided by the command service in the CLI."
"I had some trouble in the registration account prior to deployment, but it was fixed. They were not very fast or responsive, however. It took about one week to resolve the issue."
"It would be ideal if they could expand protocol support to cover emerging communication standards and ensure comprehensive protection against diverse attack vectors."
"If they would go to a cloud-based approach, that would give much more flexibility in terms of working with them."
"The dashboard could be updated."
"The solution needs a bit more functionality. It would be good if DefensePro could have anti-bot functionalities in order to stop bots like web scrapers from getting onto our customers’ network."
"I would like to have more granular steps according to protected bandwidth, so the granularity should be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is quite high. It is a monthly subscription that costs about $2,000 per month, depending on the user sizes."
"The pricing is good but is not the best. It could be improved so that middle-sized organizations, such as startups, can benefit from it."
"You can test it for a certain period of time free of charge. You can have a free account. You can test it to compare its pros and cons with other products that you are testing."
"Radware DefensePro is expensive when considering the issue we have and its limitations."
"The product's pricing is a good value."
"Radware DefensePro is a bit on the expensive side."
"The pricing is based on the amount of network traffic and the number of packets being inspected."
"It is expensive. I would rate it a seven out of ten for pricing."
"The licensing cost is about $50,000."
"The Radware DefensePro was bundled together with our security platform."
"The cost for maintenance is cheaper because the majority of the deployments using the solution are in areas where cost of maintenance is also lower."
