Offers dashboard accessibility and effectively manages threat detection and response
Our security posture improved since implementing Fortinet FortiEDR in terms of our overall setup, as we've experienced significant enhancements. We now have streamlined operations, better dashboards, and improved monitoring capabilities, consolidating multiple functions into a single solution. Previously, we were managing three separate vendors alongside support from our IT arm and outsourced assistance. With FortiEDR, everything is integrated under one dashboard, making our processes more efficient. Fortinet FortiEDR effectively manages threat detection and response in our daily operations with great robustness. Previously, we had to rely on two separate Palo Alto devices for bandwidth management, both lacking real-time capabilities. Our search engine, detection engine, and database were also disjointed. However, with FortiEDR, we've achieved parity in functionality for both functions. Consequently, our bandwidth performance has seen a significant boost, providing users with a stable stream to work with. The implementation of automation has had a significant impact on our team's workload. As we operate shared services centers across the APAC region, having this infrastructure in place has provided us with visibility across all three sites. This visibility, facilitated by automation, is particularly beneficial for higher management and decision-makers. It's a notable advancement for our operations. FortiEDR has played a crucial role in mitigating the impact of breaches within our healthcare IT industry. Given the vast amount of data we handle and the real-time nature of data processing via APIs and centralized databases, FortiEDR has streamlined our operations. It allows us to process data at our own pace without encountering significant obstacles or requiring extensive workarounds. Essentially, it has provided us with a seamless transition between sandbox and production environments, making our workflow smoother and more efficient.

Has effective phishing handling capabilities
We are customers for GravityZone Business Security. We use it for email security I like that the tool is a bit simple to use. In terms of handling phishing and rate mitigation, it is quite good. It is missing a lot, especially in reporting. The reporting functionality is quite minimal, and…

Reduces our attack surface, preventing cyber attacks and spam
We use it to maintain a minimum of security in our office. It's very important to have an antivirus in our environment. The main object of the solution is to maintain stability so that our environment is protected from any websites that can harm our solution. To prevent attacks you need a full…

"Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture."
"It is stable and scalable."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers."
"The most valuable feature of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is its ease of use."
"The initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is easy."
"The product provides endpoint visibility and portal updates, which are very helpful."
"I like that the tool is a bit simple to use. In terms of handling phishing and rate mitigation, it is quite good. The product is stable. I rate it a perfect ten. The solution is scalable. I rate it an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest. The initial setup is straightforward. I have seen a return on investment."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is efficient and lightweight. We have to do security audits every year and we saw how secure Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was, even the plan testers had difficulties taking control of a computer when it was protected. The solution was always rejecting the attacks of the test hackers, it has very good protection."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The solution is the cheapest in the market."
"The ease of deployment via our RMM tool has been good."
"The firewall, malware, and anti-virus protection have earned its keep in times past by catching the unexpected."
"Scalability."
"The most valuable features of this solution are that it is really easy to use, and it is secure."
"Its ease of use in deploying it and regular updates are most valuable."
"The features I find the most valuable are the protection, the encryption, and the DLP."
"The solution's application control feature is very, very powerful."
"It just works. We have a console, and I can see it at a glance. I don't have any problems with it at all."
"What I like most about Symantec is the intrusion detection module. If you are scanning the environment, it will flag a possible intruder and tell you the IP and where the attack is coming from. Traditional antivirus solutions will never flag that. If you have a traditional SIEM, you might be able to pick that up. Symantec is a holistic endpoint security solution, so when you scan an endpoint, Symantec will let you know that something is happening to it."

Cons

"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office."
"I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"The solution is not stable."
"There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors."
"Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"From an administration perspective, the tool lacks functionalities related to RMM and MDM. The tool should offer add-ons, like RMM and MDM."
"Its performance can be better. It doesn't work very well for ransomware. That's why we are trying to evaluate other products."
"There could be more security features included in the product."
"The initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was a little complex. It's not for the average home user. You need to know what you're doing and understand what you're doing. During the deployment, it took us approximately an hour and a half to understand fully the way we wanted it to be set up, and then from there, it wasn't too bad."
"The support from Bitdefender GravityZone Elite could be better."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Elite could improve the ease of use and add more features. Other solutions have more features such as Kaspersky Antivirus. For example, I could not remote connect with Microsoft Windows with Kaspersky Antivirus and the reports were better. Additionally, I have had difficulty ending tasks with solutions."
"If an enterprise already has existing security features or products, GravityZone Business Security could integrate with them. This will make it a cost-effective solution without replacing their current setup."
"The reporting functionality is quite minimal, and there are no alerts available. We are missing email encryption capabilities. We’ve also faced a few minor issues with the solution’s scalability."
"Nowadays, threats are changing, and they are moving more towards script control and zero-day attacks. So, we would like to have more control similar to an EDR solution. Symantec Endpoint Protection has certainly come a long way as a traditional antivirus, but because the threats are changing, we would like to have more EDR features so that we have a detailed view of the source from where the infection entered the environment and whether it has tried to connect any other endpoint. It should provide such a detailed view for investigation. It should protect against zero-day threats, etc. These are the key enhancements that can make it a complete solution for any enterprise. Currently, we have seen organizations going for two solutions: antivirus and EDR. With both these capabilities, it would be a complete package."
"The management of the server is a bit complex."
"The platform itself can be improved as there's no way to track how infections get into the organization."
"The Sandboxing and ATP functionality does not integrate very well, improving this would be helpful."
"There are limitations because everyone these days has hybrid working; however, the endpoint does not work for us unless we are connected to a VPN, which is a major limitation."
"The virus definitions could be updated more frequently."
"I would like to see improvements in the anti-virus and the device control features."
"It would be nice to see more antivirus features for USB control."

"It's not cheap, but it's not expensive either."
"Fortinet FortiEDR has a yearly subscription."
"It's moderately priced, neither cheap nor expensive."
