Stable product, suitable for limited integrations and lacks flexibility
Every product has its pros and cons. Boomi has some drawbacks, but it's generally okay. It could be better in terms of features, flexibility, and especially storage. We have issues there. In day-to-day operations, tracking transactions is a major challenge. It takes hours to track a single transaction. It is not a straightforward process. Other products like TIBCO or IBM have simpler transaction tracking by ID. In Boomi, it's much more time-consuming. We need to go through each and every timestamp and identify the transaction details. It is a pain point for us. We use Boomi only for process execution. We used it for API and APM but switched to Azure APM. The low latency mode is another pain point. General mode consumes a lot of resources, but to have adequate logging information, we need to deploy in general mode. Whereas low latency gives very good throughput and good performance, but we are losing a lot of important information. So these are the some of the aspects.

Automated a lot of manual processes, improved visibility into data processes but user interface could be more intuitive
The most valuable features of Informatica Axon are the reports and statistics. It provides very good insights into pending tasks, completed tasks, and areas requiring follow-up or approval. There are various checkpoints. In one report, we can see the overall status of the system. Additionally, Informatica Axon has many out-of-the-box features when we want to configure stuff for workflows, surpassing those of other tools we evaluated, like Collibra. But Informatica is a very established tool that offers a lot of pre-configurations when we govern the workflows. So, these out-of-the-box features are much more robust, and reporting is much more robust compared to other tools. Data Lineage Feature: Data lineage is there. But not everyone is into it. We have a lot of legacy applications, and consolidation of the data into our master data management is also a parallel project going on. Right now, Informatica Axon has a fantastic lineage feature, but we do not fully use that capability in our team because there are a lot of prerequisites that we need to set before we can utilize the lineage. There are very small components where we can see some lineage. For example, if you have product dimensions or dimension-related attributes, we can see how the data lineage is going through. But for other activities, our data is distributed across different platforms and involves about 43 to 50 legacy systems. First, we are in the process of consolidating them into one hub and then do some cleanup. That would be the biggest feature for us to start with this data lineage. Right now, we don't use that capability extensively.

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is a bit complex. While the entry fee may be lower than other solutions, it could be expensive depending on your usage."
"There could be an easy-to-understand licensing model."
"Boomi AtomSphere Integration is expensive. I rate its pricing an eight out of ten."
"It is an expensive platform."
"The Platinum package is good for licensing, but I’m not sure about the cost and improvements."
"Boomi AtomSphere Integration is a relatively cheap and cost-effective product compared to other products like SAP or Oracle."
"Approximately 20k annually."
"I rate the product's price an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"We have licenses, and we are provided with certain particular services in the solution."
"Its pricing model can be improved."
"Informatica MDM is a costly solution because it comes as a bundle. They are also globally positioning themselves and are definitely working on very upgraded technologies. If someone wanted to do it on the cloud, they have a lot of flexibility because they upgrade themselves according to the current needs. It definitely comes with a lot of features and that's the reason why it's costly. The licensing cost should be approximately one million dollars. It's about four to five times that of other vendors."
"The price is comparable."
"I have heard from customers that the product comes with a huge license cost."
"Informatica MDM is very expensive. Apart from licensing fees, they have broken down their products into multiple products, and they charge for each and every product. If the data is huge, they charge for the data. At times, we have to use third party services for data cleaning, and they charge for that as well."
"I rate the product's pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"There is no doubt that it is very expensive, but the brand value comes at a cost. Other MDM solutions in the market that haven't proven themselves like Informatica are also pretty expensive. We need to understand that MDM itself is very expensive to implement. So, Informatica is also pretty expensive. I would rate it a two out of five for being pretty expensive."
