Effective threat predictions, simple to deploy, and light on resources
Malwarebytes's initial setup is simple. It is easy to deploy and configure the policies and the configuration. I deployed Malwarebytes for one customer and I did it in under two days. They had approximately 50 users, it took approximately an hour. The steps I took for the implementation were downloading the Malwarebytes management console from the site, installing it, then running the discovery tool, scanning my network, and checking all of the PCs on my network. It's already pre-configured, you don't need to configure anything. The only configuration that I did on the administration console was some of the exclusion from the scan. This is the only rule that I have created. I rate the initial setup of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

AI-driven threat detection strengthens security and supports seamless integration
My company had an opportunity to implement Trend Micro Endpoint for one of our customers. They have around 500 PCs as endpoints and also around 100 or 120 servers The behavior analytics feature is very useful, and its threat detection based on AI is very strong. It is easy to integrate with other…

"One of the advantages for me is that it is very easy to use."
"Technical support is quite knowledgeable and helpful."
"The solution is stable and integrated into the system quite well."
"Its ability to detect ransomware and malware is the most valuable. Its protection is also good."

Cons

"Overall, I haven't found any ways the solution lacks in features or usability."
"The reporting is not as flexible as you would find with other antivirus software."
"A solution must be installed in the main gateway to give an overview of the incoming and outgoing traffic. The technical support team's response time should be faster."
"They could come up with better reporting capabilities."
"Malwarebytes can improve its network database. Malwarebytes can scan the files and registry. It can scan the system with a light agent. It will not impact the performance of your PC. You can do the full scan and database scan using the EDR, and the RAM and CPU consumption will not increase."
"I really hate the automatic rebuilding without even asking. It's just an annoyance that they should at least ask me, like a month before they bill me."
"Malwarebytes is too simplistic. From a SOC IR perspective, it doesn't give you very much data around it. It doesn't tie things or provide SHA-1 and SHA-256 detection information, which makes it hard to do an additional investigation."
"The product's stability needs improvement."
"The UI has room for improvement."
"It would be ideal if the solution could be simplified a bit."
"There were challenges in uninstalling the Trend Micro solution from certain endpoints."
"The CPU usage when scanning is too high and we have run into bottlenecks were it consumes a lot of CPU time."
"I think that this product needs to improve the data loss prevention port."
"We do not have much control as we have to work with regional policies and regional support."
"I would like to see behavior analysis capabilities included."
"The menus can be more user-friendly or easier. For example, if we want to enable access to the USB ports, it should be more user-friendly. It is not easy. We need to navigate through several menus to be able to give access."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Malwarebytes is a cost-effective product."
"Its licensing is annual. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."

"We expect to pay $1,000 USD a month, depending on the number of users."
"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
"It is really expensive. We've got between 30 and 40 licenses every year, and for the number of licenses that we have, we're finding that Malwarebytes on average costs between $900 and $1,000 more per year than comparable options. We're paying about $3,300 per year for these licenses. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."

"Apex One is expensive but we manage to work with the cost."
"Trend Micro Apex One is priced well."
"The price of Apex One is competitive and lower than the prices of the solutions we compared it to."
"If I compare Trend Micro Apex One with other solutions there are a few challenges for customers who have do not need more licenses. Sometimes the customers struggle because this product is totally an enterprise solution, and the price for the licenses can be expensive for individuals or small organizations."
"When compared to Symantec, Kaspersky, and others the price is higher, they are more expensive."
"The license is expensive but it is a complete solution."
