Provides excellent traceability along with improved efficiency and reliability
It would be good to have the product integrated with Google because that's our corporate tool of choice. I'd also like to see a notice board where you can list a summary of the top 10 items being dealt with each day. It's something that would be very helpful. I believe they're working on a chatbot but we haven't seen that as yet. I'd like it to include a space where questions asked to a chatbot can be self-triaged in terms of support or with the ability to point you towards a knowledge-based article. We've been doing some of that ourselves but it would be good to have it through a chatbot.

A stable solution that very accurately runs projects
Our company uses the solution for a project at our on-premises data center. We have one data room database and one mobile active account.  We have 100 users in our head office who use Microsoft in our database and desktop application. A total of 5,000 employees use their mobile phones while working…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution has been very helpful engineering insights into the client's environment. We have been able to manage calls and incidence very efficiently which provides us with a clear understanding of the system warranty and the actions that we might need to take in terms of insights. The system is very dynamic and prevents any kind of over sides which is yours that there is smooth contract management. Also we can easily uphold SLAs and deliver enhanced services without breaching any agreements."
"The workflow and the change management process are valuable."
"It has a very easy, flexible model. You can open up a particular module and work on the next. That's what we did. Overall, it provides a simple way of getting your support teams up and running. That was one thing that I thought was quite easy to do."
"The most valuable feature of Freshservice is you can assign downloaded tickets and the reports are useful."
"We really like the Freshchat widget that allows people to engage with our FAQs on any kind of webpage or web property."
"It is a stable solution. My company hasn't faced any problems with the solution."
"There is a nice user interface."
"I do like the workflow automation capabilities, where based upon certain actions, it will automatically go and route tickets to a particular person. It is fairly user-friendly."
"I like that I can change the task and include different resources related to the task."
"It's an easy solution to set up."
"It is a complete and all-rounded enterprise product. From a portfolio management perspective and an individual project management perspective, it is a corporate-wide project management product. It can be used for resource planning, financial planning, task planning, etc."
"Technical support has been very helpful."
"The features I find the most valuable are scheduling and reporting."
"A lot of valuable features have been added in the last three years, including scheduling automation and intelligence."
"The built-in dashboards are powerful because they show both project and overall progress."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is planning."

Cons

"There are some limitations in reporting. For example, I would like to have a report of conversations or replies."
"We'd like to see a CMDB, a Configuration Management Database, in the future."
"I would suggest that Freshservice enhance its technical capabilities, particularly when it comes to ICT network discovery."
"On the reporting side, when we were doing reporting, one thing that was a bit of a limitation was when you had a data list containing a list of changes that have occurred for the whole time and you had to fit the list onto a page. If the list went over the page, it would just truncate it at the page. You wouldn't get all your data. So, it didn't work. That was one big stand-out for me. What we tended to do was convert things into a more readable format, and then we had more targeted exception reporting, but it would be nice to have a full list of things that could be automatically generated and that can flow over pages."
"The reporting and management information (MI) are very limited, and stopped realistic and timely reporting on outstanding incidents."
"The chat portal is not that great."
"It's hard to interact directly with the users themselves."
"The most significant area for improvement is consistency across the different modules, as they are inconsistent. It makes me think the modules have different development teams with no consistent approach. From an end-user perspective, I can do certain operations in one module, such as instant management, but not in problem management, for example, and I don't see why that should be the case. It would be good to see more consistency in the development process."
"When a project plan becomes huge, it is painful to arrange and structure the project in Microsoft Project. Currently, you require a separate product for managing agile projects, and people are using Jira and Rally to manage stories in agile. Primarily, on the software development side, people are kind of moving away from Microsoft Project."
"It would be ideal if the solution integrated more with Azure DevOps and other work management platforms like Jira."
"I find the setup a little bit cumbersome."
"Its price can be improved."
"The solution's interface seems to be an outdated one. So, I would like its interface to be improved."
"The dashboard could be improved."
"It's hard to reach technical people to get the help you need."
"It has a bit of a learning curve since there are a lot of features in it, and we haven't really gotten a chance to train through the whole product."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our licensing fee for Freshservice is $2,500 a year."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"It is good for the price you pay. It has different plans. If you need all features, you need to go for a higher plan. Currently, with the second tier plan, you cannot completely separate the group of agents. So, the agent in each group can see another person's ticket. You also cannot modify the rules based on the viewable, readable stuff and cannot have a custom role in this plan. If you want to do that, you have to go for a higher plan. It works in our case because it doesn't matter if the other group can see our ticket because it doesn't contain anything sensitive. We also didn't need the project or change management features. That's why we didn't go with a higher plan."
"Freshservice price is competitive, it is not more than other solutions on the market."
"It is $34 per license, per agent. Currently, we don't see any add-ons at extra fees."
"I don't think it's expensive for the US or some European markets. Still, when I used Freshservice in Mexico, some customers found it a bit pricey, especially considering the platform's features. I think the pricing is fair for use in the European market, but it might be perceived differently in Latin America."
"Freshservice is a fairly cheap solution. Though monthly payments can be made towards the licensing costs of the solution, my company prefers to make annual payments."
"Compared to other tools, Freshservice is affordable."
"The license is a one-time payment but it is expensive."
"It gets expensive when having to add all of the plugins and everything that you need."
"The solution has a decent annual license subscription cost, which is not high."
"I am not aware of any additional costs apart from the standard licensing fees of the solution."
"The solution is expensive."
"I do not remember the exact cost we paid but usually, they charge per user per month."
"Microsoft Project is an expensive solution."
"The license fees for the professional version, which is estimated to be approximately $1,600, and the standard version, which is approximately $1,200, may be considered expensive by some users. This is something that could be improved to make the platform more accessible to a wider audience."
