Offers centralized security management and flexibility
The improvements required in the product depend on how it is used, meaning it can be used for endpoint security or email and collaboration security. The web gateway is used along with anti-malware, advanced protection, URL filtering, application control, and data protection. I don't have any improvements to suggest in the tool as of now, and not at least for now, as per my security assessment. There are certain concerns with the product's stability, so it is an area where improvements are required.

Security suite has protected individual devices from threats, while installation and network features require improvements
BIG-IP is actually the LTM, Link Load Balancer, which comes with ASM, meaning Application Security Module. It consists of multiple modules, such as ASM, SWG, and a domain DNS manager. ZoneAlarm allows defining trusted and public networks, which helps maintain security in public Wi-Fi environments. It offers comprehensive protection, securing PCs against threats. Users do not experience any system slowdowns while scanning. Harmony Browser protects all your browsing activity and is bundled with Harmony Endpoint and Harmony Connect. It provides a small but effective security layer and sometimes comes packaged with the larger Harmony suite.

"Trend Micro Smart Protection has good features like malware analysis, C-to-C connection and detection, workbench, auto security play with features, and lots of DDI features."
"The solution integrates well with other Trend Micro products."
"What I like about Trend Micro Smart Protection is that it detects unknown threats that are not visible on other platforms. It catches low-hanging threats, such as certain binary downloads, that aren't flagged by other tools."
"Trend Micro has consistently been recognized as a leader for endpoint security on Gartner, which has been our top priority. Based on my personal experience, we encountered fewer ransomware attacks for Trend Micro customers in Sri Lanka."
"The configuration is easy."
"It is easy to use through interfaces and easy to configure each of the customizations we created based on the characteristics that we wanted."
"It is quick and easy to configure."
"The product's most valuable feature is the detection engine due to its ability to identify threats."
"This antivirus is regularly updated, and the updates can be scheduled."
"It gives us security for the users' mobiles and ends up protecting us in a significant way."
"The solution maintains reasonable scalability."
"ZoneAlarm protects all computers from viruses, spyware, and hackers."

Cons

"The threat response could be a bit better."
"The solution’s technical support is not very good and could be improved."
"The administration could be better. They could decrease the administrative burden and enable easier management. There are many features, options, and settings which is quite challenging for some of our customers. The complexity of the interface is also an issue. From a software point of view, I would prefer to see actual signatures and actual protection patterns, rather than new features."
"Recently our end users are feeling that their system resources are too occupied and slowed because of the Trend Micro agent - that the agent is doing lots and lots of background activities which include that Application Control, Advanced Threat Protection. We raised the complaint with them and are waiting for their technical support. The support could be faster for all the Trend Micro solutions."
"I cannot recall noticing any missing features."
"There are no data loss prevention features."
"Some functionalities within the DLP can be improved."
"The dashboard could be easier to manage."
"We'd like better performance of the network equipment. There are high-speed environments where an immediate response is required."
"I would like it to be integrated with the Check Point centralization solution like Infinity Portal. It would be great to be able to manage it through the same website."
"They should release a single update with all the necessary characteristics to avoid being in a cycle of consecutive updates."
"They need to update and improve the features available for Mac."
"Some of our users say that the interface is a little bit outdated for 2020, and want it to be more modern and cozy."
"The solution's efficiency in threat containment and overall protection needs improvement."
"Currently, the client is only available for the Windows Operating System but it would be good if it were released for Mac OS as well."
"Perhaps the primary area for potential enhancement is to make it faster, ensuring a more seamless experience while maintaining robust security features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing is on a yearly basis and I believe our organization paid about $2,000/year. However, it's been a while since I looked at the pricing and we no longer use the solution."
"There is an annual subscription license on it. In the next release, there might be monthly payment options. So, people might be able to get it through AWS in the future, but right now for on-prem, it is annual."
"In terms of pricing, in comparison to products like Kaspersky, Trend Micro's price might appear higher. However, this elevated cost can be rationalized due to the extensive features and detection engines that Trend Micro provides. The price may be a challenge for countries with economic conditions like Sri Lanka. If there was reasonable pricing for Sri Lanka, it would be a plus point."
"Instead of going for monthly or yearly licensing models, it is better to go ahead with three-year or five-year licensing models as it can be cheaper."
"The solution is a little expensive. However, they can reduce the price for competition. There are different licensing models."
"The product pricing for PCs is reasonable, but server security can be expensive."
"The tool's licensing costs are yearly."
"The product is not very expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable, with a yearly renewal license costing seventy dollars."
"I rate the product pricing a seven out of ten."
"We have to pay a yearly licensing fee for ZoneAlarm, which is cheap."
"This is a freeware product and I recommend using it."
"We use the free version of the software, but it can be upgraded to the paid Extreme Security edition."
