Helpful support, robust encryption, and exceptional scalability
Microsoft Azure has enabled the organization to set up efficient cloud infrastructure at cost-friendly rates.  It has a DR backup system that keeps data under safe storage for future recovery in case of any disaster. The Azure virtual machine has been the game changer in the implementation of…

Easy-to-learn platform with valuable integration capabilities
The impact of QuickBase's integration capabilities with other tools has been positive. I've successfully integrated it with two to three business applications, and the experience has been quite good. The seamless integration with different applications effectively enhances the in-house features. It is a more modular version of Excel, particularly beneficial for projects requiring collaboration across multiple locations. However, Excel remains a suitable option for teams situated in one location. Considering factors like functionality and price, the product proves to be worth the investment. It is easy for a beginner to learn to use QuickBase for the first time. The instructions, manuals, and videos provided within the tool are exceptional for learning how to use it. After viewing the videos, users can easily build applications with various features. I rate it as an eight. There's still room for improvement in the UI. Nevertheless, it is a useful tool. Sometimes, I notice a lag in the software during business hours due to the high volume of data being circulated. It needs to perform optimally. The feature to export data in a required format also has limitations, especially regarding the number of records that can be exported.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The data factory feature."
"The support is responsive and dedicated to SMEs."
"Microsoft Azure is flexible and the performance is great."
"Azure virtual machines are stand-out."
"The pricing is quite good, and it is designed as pay-per-use."
"It is quick and easy to deploy. It is flexible, and we can deploy a resource anytime. We like and prefer the pay-as-you-go model."
"My experience with technical support so far is very good."
"The application services are the most valuable in Microsoft Azure. I'm not using them directly but I am using the function and the web applications. I don't need to pay a lot for the maintenance. I do not need to have a DevOps employee."
"It is low-code. We are able to go in and create apps quickly. It is very helpful for the size of our company. We're a mid-size company, and at this moment, we don't need anything externally. We don't have to go out and consult a consulting firm to build something from the ground up. So, the ease of that and being able to get development quickly up and running has been good for us."
"It provides a well-organized method for overseeing everything, especially considering the remote work aspect."
"This solution has provided for Rapid deployment of data collection tools, replacing spreadsheets with near real-time data."
"QuickBase is an excellent product and it is very easy to get support."
"The most valuable feature of QuickBase is its dynamic form capabilities. These forms allow backend automation, making tasks like updating data based on specific conditions much easier."
"The usability of QuickBase largely depends on how you design your workflows within the platform. If you keep them simple and straightforward, it can be a highly usable product."
"Creating applications in Quickbase will take, literally, a fraction of the time it would take to create them in other database applications (which shall remain unnamed)."
"It has superb ease of use and no code needed to create and build apps and databases."

Cons

"Because it has a lot of features, a person just coming into Microsoft Azure might feel that it is a bit complex."
"Microsoft Azure could improve by having the availability be 100%. Which is difficult, but not impossible."
"Technical support is lacking right now. It needs to be better."
"Could be more user friendly; security features should be improved."
"The solution could be easier to use. However, when comparing it to AWS it is a bit easier."
"It would be ideal if they could reduce costs a bit. Right now, we find the product to be expensive."
"The deployment was quite complex."
"From a security perspective, there is always something that can be improved as we serve our customers."
"They could enhance the ability to link records between tables directly without the need for additional automation to increase space and time."
"Third-party integration -- they are working on it and I find their brand-new still-in-beta Webhooks very promising."
"The improved developer interface in some areas can be difficult to use for complex items."
"It would be beneficial for the QuickBase team to focus on improving the integration of cloud-based storage platforms within their product. In use cases like ours, where QuickBase serves as a centralized source of truth for construction projects, having seamless integration with platforms like Dropbox or OneDrive would greatly enhance the product's capabilities."
"The dashboard is not organized."
"The product works constantly to modernize the platform and they have made quite a lot of strides in that. I would like them to add additional features that would help us make API calls."
"Access to more standard default layouts and sample builds would be useful, and access to more training on use and flexibility."
"The mobile app has improved, but it still needs work."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of this solution is one of the things that attracted us to it."
"It's a metered environment, and it's pay-as-you-go. That's the big challenge with a metered environment."
"It has the pay-as-you-go model. Its pricing should be better."
"We're paying in dollars, and it's very expensive for us because of the exchange rates."
"Price-wise, it is comparable to other solutions for the features that we are using."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"Reducing the price would be of benefit to our customers."
"We are on a monthly subscription for Microsoft Azure and the cost is more expensive than some of the competitors, such as Amazon AWS. They should be more competitive with other solutions."
"You have to negotiate the price because it varies based on the number of users you have, as well as how much cloud storage space you need."
"It is probably about 300 per license per person. There is just the licensing cost. There are no additional costs."
"The solution is expensive and geared toward enterprise-level clients."
"The product is cheap when compared to other products."
"The pricing for the tier my company used included ten seats and the subcontractor, amounting to approximately $18,000 USD per year."
"The pricing for QuickBase is pretty straightforward, It is based on a per user/per month licensing fee."
"Quickbase is probably not the cheapest app out there. That said, it is worth its weight in gold. There is no other app that I know of in the market today that can do what Quickbase does."
"We felt the pricing and licensing for QuickBase were easy enough to understand, fair and competitive."
