Helps ensure compliance with timely termination of access, and saves time, but the reporting functionality is limited
The roadmap that Omada Identity provides for deploying additional features is adequate, but it would benefit from more frequent communication with its customers. They occasionally hold advisory board calls where multiple customers participate. During these calls, they discuss the roadmap and what they're working on. However, they also have several community forums. Frankly, most people don't have the time to monitor all those resources for updates. While the Omada certification survey is a helpful tool for verifying user roles, creating the survey itself can be challenging. The process is not very user-friendly, and the available documentation is not sufficient to get started easily. For more complex surveys, it may be necessary to resort to professional services. Omada's reporting functionality is limited and could benefit from greater customization. Unlike other solutions that allow users with SQL knowledge to create tailored reports, Omada restricts users to pre-defined reports offering only generic data that may not be relevant to specific needs. Omada currently forces users to install the newest version. We would appreciate the flexibility to choose an earlier version, such as the one preceding the latest release.

Reconnects Windows laptops and acts as a centralized location to access pretty much anything web-related
Since we all use Windows laptops, choosing Microsoft Entra ID made sense. I think there's a cohesivity in what Microsoft is trying to do, and Microsoft Entra ID is a very core function of that strategy. It's easier to branch out to other security products, making it easier for us to expand that landscape. Microsoft Entra provides a single pane of glass for managing user access. Because of the solution's single pane of glass, we don't have to run around to multiple places, mainly to create or remove accounts. One of our biggest issues, especially in the past few years, is turnover. Removing accounts is a big issue because we don't know where everything lies. Trying to find those little corners where access has been granted and not knowing it for a year or two after the employee has left is a huge security concern for us. Our HR department doesn't use Microsoft Entra ID yet, but the IT department extensively uses it. It saves all that account creation, and we don't have to run around to different products. The solution has saved our company at least a few hours a week. We can focus on other projects, and I can educate most of my staff who are doing it in other areas. Microsoft Entra ID has not necessarily helped our organization to save money. As a nonprofit, we didn't have any solutions, so it probably started costing us more. However, I think it's paid off just by this security nature of things and having that single pane of glass. Overall, I rate Microsoft Entra ID ten out of ten.

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Omada is too expensive. We are in the automotive industry. The pricing might be high because most of the other customers are in the insurance or banking sectors, but it's steep for an auto supply company."
"The pricing is okay."
"My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
"It is fairly priced for an on-premise environment, but for the cloud environment, I am not that happy with the pricing."
"It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
"The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
"While Omada Identity carries a premium price tag, it proves to be cost-effective."
"There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."

"The product's price is in the midrange."
"The pricing of Azure Active Directory is competitive. By default, the product exists in almost every Microsoft cloud product. But it then depends on the features that a customer really wants to make use of."
"I'd recommend Azure Active Directory if you are a big company. For small or medium companies, it's probably not the best idea in the world because of the pricing. If you are a small company, you can probably deploy your own solutions because you're not handling a website with tons of traffic. If you are not like Adidas, Nike, or Walmart, you can do it in a way that is more localized than handling everything through a big price solution. However, Azure tends to provide you with solutions that are easier to use. If it was cheaper, I'd definitely recommend going for it."
"The basic tier of Azure Active Directory is free, so many users use the service for free. For a small company having the security and compliance that Azure offers is a great benefit. For small companies that are using the basic services, not having to pay for Azure Active Directory is the main asset because they can manage their users and have authentications tools and security."
"It's really affordable."
"The solution can be cheaper."
"Microsoft Authenticator is a free product."
"The pricing is good; it's not cheap but very reasonable."
