UiPath Platform EVENT - Forward 2024 - Business Challenges
What business challenges were you looking to solve by implementing UiPath AI and automation? Why were AI and automation necessary to solve these business challenges? Please explain.
We have been able to assign users to different tasks. These tasks are done faster with fewer errors, and our customers our happier.
View full review »We have a limited staff and a lot of work. UiPath tackles repetitive jobs that people don't want to do, but we must do them daily. We've saved on reporting, and that has mitigated costs, so we've seen revenue advantages.

View full review »UiPath has helped our customer success unit and various technical teams. We were trying to understand the industry's current state and the direction our peers are taking. We're not so focused on eliminating positions as we are on using UiPath to free staff to work on additional tasks. There are always new tasks in the contact centers, and if we don't need to add staff, we can redirect them to other areas.

Technical Product Manager I at a financial services firm with 201-500 employees
UiPath has allowed our employees to focus more on servicing our members rather than being bogged down by mundane tasks. In the last year, we have saved about 6,500 hours for our users, equating to the time of two full-time employees.

I work in the applied analytics and statistics section, and we're supposed to find ways to inject more advanced analytical methods into some of these places where we can automate. Our IT department has a CoE that conducts intake processes. They use Automation Hub to review each process, and the executive governance board votes on it. I don't know how they decide internally because I'm not part of that.

We have deadlines that we must meet for our clients, and AI has enabled us to get that information without manual intervention. There are delays while we wait for insurance to pay for claims, and taking humans out of the equation enables us to be as productive as we want.
View full review »We are automating rule-based, repetitive business processes, but we're interested in the automation opportunities AI capabilities present. Of course, transactional automation has limitations, but in areas where it is applicable, we have been able to use it effectively.
View full review »We're a high-tenure organization. The average tenure is 15 years, so we want to avoid growing our headcount. We're continuously growing by 10 to 15 percent annually, so we've had to add enough staff to process the documents. Our primary concern was to stop the increase in staff. Even after we added staff, we were falling behind because they were much slower at processing those documents.

We also hope to use generative AI and large language models to perform some of the data analysis, saving us lots of time. My company tripled in size in the last three years, so we have a lot more people, but the backend operations haven't grown at the same pace as the number of salespeople.
View full review »For us, it requires fewer resources, and the time to get to the production environment is quicker.
View full review »Many applications don't have built-in APIs, and some repetitive processes require a lot of staff to perform. We try to identify those processes and automate them. At the end of the day, it's about how quickly a particular process can be implemented, what kind of ROI we can realize, and the speed of completing the process.
View full review »Some large-scale invoice-related tasks were overwhelming our existing processes and attempts to handle them manually. We are in the data center industry and dealing with all these technology companies, but many processes in the real estate business are a bit more outdated. Many of our people are comfortable working in Excel, and some teams are highly siloed. One significant challenge I've faced as a UiPath developer is acting as an evangelist within the company. We want to demonstrate the platform's capabilities and get buy-in from these different teams across the enterprise to raise the level of what we're trying to do.
View full review »We were already using a competing automation platform when we implemented UiPath. UiPath is a more cloud-based solution. We're biotech regulators, so we're trying to adopt new innovations as quickly as they are released. Regarding challenges, we're trying to simplify and automate processes to achieve a higher value and make problem-solving more seamless.

View full review »We aim to reduce routine tasks and allow people more time to do more important things. We were mainly looking at time savings for employees, and we may not have gotten all of the time savings that we wanted, but we definitely have found some. In addition to saving time, we also hope to mitigate risks for some of the tasks we've implemented and reduce human error in some of these processes,

View full review »We get a lot of projects that are on relatively short notice for the workload that comes with them. Historically, we would rely on leveraged services or contractors to do that work manually, which is costly. You can save tons of money by automating data entry, transcription, etc. Nowadays, as we get busier and busier, the work seems to bog people down more and more with tasks. UiPath gives them opportunities to free themselves up and focus on themselves.
View full review »Our business challenges necessitated a combined approach of AI and automation. While automation initially streamlined processes, its rigidity proved limiting when faced with changing information. AI, with its learning and adaptive capabilities, addressed this by recognizing patterns and adjusting to variations. This synergy allows the AI to handle similar changes without requiring new automation, ultimately achieving the same outcome with increased flexibility and efficiency.
View full review »Our company is growing like crazy, and using automation allowed us to accommodate that growth without significantly increasing our headcount.
View full review »My advice for someone considering UiPath Platform is to start small to ensure the processes function smoothly before scaling up, as it is easier to fix smaller workflows than intricate ones. Additionally, hire individuals who are curious and eager to learn about UiPath Platform technology as it continuously evolves.
View full review »My use cases for UiPath Platform involve starting with simple robots, as I saw in my company that I need to handle many paychecks. First, we scan the paycheck and the robot does the job in our system and sends emails of notifications that these paychecks are entered correctly in our system. From that, we started complex robots where some interact with two software systems: our system and another program that does the work orders, leading us to develop a robot that helps the technical team in our company by synchronizing the work orders.
View full review »The factors that led me to consider a change before using UiPath Platform were mostly scalability and harmonization. We didn't want everybody in the organization to use different tools for automation. It had to be unified because we are a large enterprise. One tool makes sense. From a cost perspective, not the license cost, but the maintenance cost is important. If everybody writes their own piece of software or code for automation, support becomes problematic. There's no unification. Support, cost, scalability, and reliability were key factors in propelling us towards a software automation tool.
