UiPath Platform Ease of Building Automations
What is your assessment of the ease of building automations using this solution? Please describe in detail or with examples.
It is very easy to build automations with UiPath. It is completely visual. You can easily drag and drop and create a process. It is fairly easy. People who are not technical are also able to work very well. In education, we have to work with educators apart from techies. In EdTech, we have people who understand learning, so we are able to deploy them for this, and we are able to build a better solution. Techies will not be able to build it because they are not educators. We have educators with over 20 years of experience. If we train them to be techies, they will take 10 years, but if we ask techies to become educators, they might take 100 years. With UiPath, we are able to use the skills of our education specialists along with IT and other departments that are needed.

That's why it is very important to analyze the tools in depth. If the processes are straightforward, we suggest some improvements, which would be much easier. If multiple applications are involved, it takes a longer time. The complex process also requires some improvement, and based on that, we suggest whether to go ahead with UiPath or not.

View full review »Building automation with UiPath is user-friendly, especially for beginners. Even without prior coding experience, newcomers can learn the ropes quickly. UiPath offers foundational code and training sessions that make creating robots achievable in just one or two sessions. The concepts align well with the product, making it easy to follow along during training. Additionally, UiPath Academy provides free online courses for further learning. This open approach contrasts with other tools like Blue Prism, which has a closed community, and Automation Anywhere, which requires more time investment to grasp due to limited resources. Unlike these other tools, UiPath offers extensive online resources and a supportive community, making it easier to find solutions. With this accessibility, even non-technical users can be trained within one or two weeks to build automation – the key is understanding the logic behind them.

It's also easily built; you can do it with low-code/no-code, making it quite simple to build.
View full review »The most favorite feature in the UiPath Platform is the document understanding, and I appreciate the ability to automate the web part when applications do not have API access. The document understanding feature is based on ML technology, which extracts fields from a PDF document even when they are semi-structured or unstructured, based on the training models.
Knowledge without scripting helps my colleagues who do not have any experience with scripting, as the UiPath Platform allows basic automation without requiring such knowledge. For some complex automations, we can integrate with VBScript and Python scripts if necessary, however, initial automation does not require in-depth programming knowledge.

Using these features of UiPath Platform benefited our organization by helping us troubleshoot an issue where some buttons wouldn't get pressed during one of our workflows, and we were on our fifth or sixth try at a new package. I had the recording software capture the process, and though the file size was gigantic, we were able to see that the window wasn't maximizing to the default 1080p. It would keep it at a 640p size, which was why it was not clicking the button.
View full review »The feature of UiPath Platform that I prefer the most is Studio, as being a developer at heart allows me to see an idea come to fruition and see it working on a daily basis.
View full review »When you're doing staple UI automation or data entry, the implementation works well. It's consistent. We've been privileged to use all of their products really early. We had a lot of issues with IXP. We've been using it since last October, and it was really just trial and error and figuring out what worked, what didn't work. It's all fixable. It's just a matter of timeline. Some things are quick fixes. Some things take months.
View full review »In the evaluation process, what stood out to me positively and negatively while comparing these options is how easy it is to learn. If there's a long learning curve, it may frighten me to continue with this process.
View full review »I value our citizen developer program, where we have trained around 50 individuals without tech backgrounds to create automations, reflecting a forward-thinking approach where low-code solutions empower non-technical users to save time through automation.
View full review »I honestly really benefit from UiPath Platform's user community. I go to forums and similar platforms and always find supportive people who often have had similar problems or issues that I've been able to reach out to, communicate with, and get the path forward for, so it's been nothing but positive, even beyond just UiPath Platform individuals within the company; other users have been very helpful too.
View full review »From a citizen-led perspective, I see it really enabling our end-users to be able to build on their own without needing the oversight of the full team.

View full review »My overall experience with using UiPath Agentic automation capabilities is that it was very easy and rapid to develop, and we achieved a more sophisticated end result than when we tried to use other AI tools to do a similar thing, which were not nearly as sophisticated or accurate.
View full review »What stood out in my evaluation process when comparing the platforms is that UiPath Platform is more developer-driven than Blue Prism. I appreciate that, especially managing packages and not having the client and server have to be on the same version as in Blue Prism, and their push for GenAI now is impressive, which I think will help us and our customers.

The time to market with the features of UiPath Platform, to be able to quickly spin up a POC and then put that in production within weeks to months versus sometimes years is significant. It is a much quicker process.
View full review »My experience with deploying UiPath Platform and robots is pretty simple. It's very user-friendly. You don't really need a software background to pick it up. Deploying is just a couple of buttons.
View full review »My advice to another organization considering UiPath Platform is to start small. The sales teams will tell you to take a big process and automate it. Start with the first step of any process anywhere. Your first step will always change the second step in the process. By automating that first step, take a stop or take a breather and actually look at what the second step is now. Does it need to change? Does it still need a human in the loop? Can we just go on to the third and fourth step instead? Do we even need a second step? It's about taking it one step at a time because when you start automating one step, it's always going to change everything that comes after that. Even though the sales teams are telling you to go big, target phases. First step, second step, third step, and just keep automating backwards from there.
View full review »Deployment was good. We're a part of the Enterprise Success Program. When we joined UiPath, no one on my team had UiPath experience. So everything that was learned was either through the UiPath learning plans or through our technical account manager. We met with our TAM once a week, sometimes two, three times a week as far as training, helping us build our automations, and also with code reviews and making sure that things are really meeting the standards that we need.
View full review »My advice to another organization considering using UiPath Platform is that it will definitely save a lot of time. It's highly recommended, but do your research before deciding which feature to use. There are many options available, so consider the ROI before picking AI or the feature. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate UiPath Platform a nine.
View full review »The initial installation of UiPath Platform is easy. It took me about three, four, or five minutes to set it up for the first time; it is not complicated.
View full review »The deployment is easy; it can be implemented in new ways within a week.
View full review »I think it is easy to use, and the main feature is that you can handle a large scale of automation with it.
I am working with UiPath Platform for automation. The main benefits that I have seen from UiPath Platform are that we are using the Enterprise version, and there are more than 100 processes in which we are working. It is working fine, and mostly we are using Excel automation, which is not giving any failures; it is working very well.
I think the environment of UiPath Platform is very human-friendly and easy to use. If I want to add something, I can add it from the dependencies, the packages, or I can download from UiPath store as well. For complex projects, we can use things from UiPath.
View full review »UiPath Platform is very robust compared to other platforms and is very easy to use with a friendly UI. It has a lot of creative potential that can be implemented.
View full review »UiPath Platform's ability to automate repetitive tasks and maintain accuracy is a significant improvement for organizations. By reducing manual workloads, companies can process more documents efficiently. AI enhances the automation capabilities when analyzing unstructured data, offering accurate data extraction even with varying document layouts. This advancement reduces the chance of errors and improves turnaround times significantly. Another standout feature of UiPath Platform is its stability and reliability, especially when compared to other technologies such as WorkFusion. The platform offers a robust framework, which simplifies building complex automations. It integrates seamlessly with external systems, using tools such as managed packages to connect with services such as AWS, Salesforce, and SAP.
View full review »The deployment process of UiPath Platform is very easy. We utilize the CI/CD pipeline, which allows for seamless integration of bot deployment. There is no need to perform additional steps; pushing the code automatically deploys it into the Orchestrator.
View full review »UiPath Platform has the ability to build automation fast through UiPath Studio plus activities that provide a broad library of automation. This is a good feature. The automation building blocks and packaging activities allow me to design automation consistently across use cases. It is reusable and supports centralized deployment, making it easy to use.
View full review »The best features I appreciate about UiPath Platform are that it is very user-friendly, so even though I started as a Java developer, I believe that someone without a lot of knowledge or experience in the programming part can use it.
View full review »If you know some programming language, you can do really agile things with UiPath Platform. Furthermore, UiPath Platform offers enhanced security features specifically for healthcare and banking. UiPath Platform is the right choice when you start your automation journey because it can do everything. You can create something focused on security or integrate with the Microsoft stack, though not as seamlessly as Power Automate. From the developer experience perspective, UiPath Platform is the winner, as it feels developed even with low-code, but still provides a feeling of native development, such as back-end development where you can freely utilize your favorite programming language, .NET and C#.
View full review »I think they have been developing too much into the idea that anyone can build in UiPath Platform, but it's making things harder for people who actually understand UiPath Platform and how it should run. It's not about being too simplistic; it's about making things that for us don't make sense. Some changes even in the Excel activities have been making things harder and pointless in some regard. I think UiPath Platform should focus more on developers and not on business because, in reality, business will never be doing automations.
