Generating all these market analyses and data reports from various websites can be time-consuming. It might require a whole team with its own manager to check and update the docs. However, when UiPath came into play, we could automate a lot of that work from different platforms. That was the start of a digital transformation at our company.

UiPath is a helpful tool for digital transformation, but its applications vary depending on an organization's needs. While many companies focus on automating tasks with PDFs like purchase orders or legal documents, UiPath can also handle images and perform sentiment analysis. Processing large, complex documents can be challenging manually, but UiPath can convert them into digital formats and quickly extract the necessary information, saving significant time. For example, a telecommunications client used UiPath to classify images from cell towers, while another client in the legal field used it to analyze contracts and identify key details like timelines and disputes. This eliminates the need for manual processing of large volumes of documents.

UiPath accelerates our digital transformation, but integrating legacy systems can be a hurdle. While UiPath excels once deployed, the process of granting it access to legacy data for proper functioning can be time-consuming in our environment. This may be specific to our setup, but it's worth considering nonetheless.

It does help speed up the digital transformation initiative for us. That is why we went with the objective of end-to-end process automation with the UiPath Platform because previously we had certain departments where there were employees who were switching quite a lot, leaving the company or so and the onboarding process was not very comprehensive, or it was done in a very urgent manner. In such cases, some processes fall through the roof, and no one is maintaining them correctly. We wanted to get rid of the resources in such departments, especially and completely end-to-end automate it using bots with the UiPath Platform.

UiPath Orchestrator has been essential in managing automated tasks for my organization, as it is a must-use feature. Without the orchestrator, I cannot control my project or automation. If I want to trigger the process either by time or any event, I have to use the orchestrator to check the status of the jobs running and the output. Additionally, if an exception occurs, I can only see it on the orchestrator; it is a crucial component, as without it, I cannot monitor my jobs.

Using UiPath Platform wasn't my personal decision; it was more of a professional coincidence due to moving to a different company where UiPath Platform was offered to some clients. I got assigned to those clients, so it was ultimately an accident rather than a decision I made. Microsoft is offering excellent deals, especially with document processing, and they have their own orchestration style. While it is a different experience, the cost is much more appealing, leading us to contemplate several Microsoft products because of pricing rather than technical superiority. Some might argue that UiPath Platform is a better product, but they may not realize that even if Power Automate and the overall Power Platform are not the best technical options, they deliver good enough solutions at better prices, which could potentially lead us to shift clients from UiPath Platform to Microsoft Power Platform for business reasons.

It is challenging to quantify the specific ROI from UiPath Platform alone since we also leverage Power Platform, however, combined, we save over half a million hours annually in manual processing time, which is crucial as 2,000 hours saved equate to one full-time employee. This has allowed us to avoid replacing positions through attrition, thus funding my department, which relies on positive ROI as we track our efficiency ratio of saving the bank eight hours for every hour we work.

The features of UiPath Platform that I value the most are the scheduling features and the ability to bring our own LLM. Having the ability to bring our own LLM has helped reduce some of our costs. It was cheaper and we felt we had better results with the LLM.

We significantly expanded our scale and effort to improve our throughput within the development team. So Maestro being able to have the business teams go in and actually wireframe their process for us out ahead of the development teams, that cuts down on the overall speed to develop. Since our longest part of our process is our discovery process, which we've now, you know, we take six weeks sometimes and getting that down to three weeks or two weeks is incredibly essential to the overall development effort.

Our healthcare system is expanding and we need new people, however, after COVID, people are getting more expensive and we just don't have the budget, so RPA has been huge in allowing our current workforce to stay the right size and we use automation to really handle those tedious processes, saving money from a people perspective and capturing denials a lot faster, enabling us to appeal in a timely manner.

UiPath Platform is used for building enterprise robots to speed up work in FinTech departments, automating use cases relevant to financial businesses. For some of the use cases, UiPath Platform has provided a 60% reduction in manual time effort, and human error has been reduced by 80% because the system performs great work with proper exception handling.

I have seen a return on investment of around a huge return in three to six months, which is a short time regarding the usual SaaS products from two to three years ago or 18 months prior. Now with UiPath Platform, you can deliver a return on investment in three to six months. It depends on the complexity of the workflows.
