What is our primary use case?

We are using SAP CRM for the payroll process, personnel administration, organization management.

SAP has a cloud version available which helps large companies. It is very powerful for talent acquisition.

What is most valuable?

When we are using SAP CRM we receive more accurate results than using any other CRM system.

What needs improvement?

The solution needs more flexible customization, tender request, and they need to think about some of the localization aspects. 

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using SAP CRM for approximately five years.

The solution is stable.

SAP CRM is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

Our local vendor does not have that much experience. It makes it difficult for them to give training or fix some issues. The customization is very hard to understand and not only by the end-user.

How was the initial setup?

The implementation of SAP CRM is complex sometimes. Our team cannot deal with some functions in the solution. We have some trouble, some aspects are not as easy to fix as some other CRM systems. 

If someone takes training and understands how the processes and functions work, it will be very easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

SAP CRM is an expensive solution and is the most challenging aspect of the solution.

At this time my company is looking for another CRM system because of the cost. If the cost is reduced we might not choose another solution.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend SAP CRM price be reduced, it is a problem for companies to be able to afford it.

I rate SAP CRM a seven out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

SAP CRM is similar to any other CRM solution. It provides a 360-degree overview of your customer's activities, such as their order-to-cash process and contacts.

What is most valuable?

SAP CRM integrates well with SAP ERP which is useful. 

What needs improvement?

There is still a lot to improve in SAP CRM to be able to compete with Salesforce. For the customer that has SAP ERP, implementing SAP CRM on the cloud is native and a great option. For those who do not have SAP at all, it might be a difficult choice because you can get more or less the same functionality from Salesforce with a better UI. It can be hard to decide.

They have recently updated their user interface but they should continue to improve upon it in the future. Additionally, overall performance or speed of response times could be better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using SAP CRM for a few months.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

We have approximately seven customers using this solution.

How are customer service and support?

In terms of support updates, the SAP ERP is better because you can do customizations by modifying the code while in the SAP CRM cloud, you cannot. You have to wait for the next release.

How was the initial setup?

The installation can be straightforward but it depends on the environment and other variables. The fastest full implementation we have done took five to six weeks.

What about the implementation team?

If you have a team that knows the basic processes of an SAP CRM cloud implementation, a team of two to three would be the minimum required.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is a license required for the solution and most of my clients purchase an annual license.

I have evaluated Salesforce.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I use SAP CRM as a freelancer and IT professional. This has given me the opportunity to know the software in-depth. I use SAP CRM to manage users and sales teams for the companies who hire me. I show various departments how to use real-time analytics and reporting to make decisions.

How has it helped my organization?

SAP CRM has improved our sales activities by providing accurate information about the customers which assists the sales team to close deals. It has also improved customer relationships with companies by syncing and storing emails, call recordings, and contacts.

What is most valuable?

The customer service team is available on emails, telephone, and live chat. They are very responsive to our questions and assist us where necessary.

I did not use other solutions before I started using SAP CRM.

The setup was easy and did not consume a lot of time. No programming skills are needed.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented the software through a vendor. Their level of expertise was quite high. They understood the software very well and assisted us when we had technical issues.

  • The company has seen an increase in revenue.
  • The sales team has shown improvements.

SAP CRM offers a free trial for anyone wanting to test the product before purchasing it. 

They should reduce the price to target small businesses.

What other advice do I have?

SAP CRM is helpful in discovering information that is deeply hidden by gaining new insights about customers. It finds new leads and opportunities faster.
