Microsoft Teams Room for Improvement
Head of Operations at Investrust Bank Plc
If the Ms Teams process is closed, the next time a user attempts to open Teams, it takes a while to load. I'm not 100% certain whether system resources have anything to do with this, but in my experience, when the Ms Teams process is already running, Ms Teams loads quicker. On the other hand, Zoom (and even Google Meet) tend to have a faster loading time.View full review »
What I'd like to improve in Microsoft Teams are the calendar management and task management tools, because they're not easy to use. They're not user-friendly. For calendar management, I prefer to use Outlook, for example, I send a calendar or update a meeting through Outlook rather than Microsoft Teams.
An additional feature I'd like to see in the next release of Microsoft Teams is the ability to monitor my working activity, particularly to understand how many hours I spend every day on each task or work I do, for example: on PowerPoint or Excel. I would like a personal dashboard that I can consult to understand where I spent my time during my work journey.View full review »
There's a feature that can send a notification to the Team's channel, but I think there's no way to have it escalated.View full review »
One time the product was basically freezing. I couldn't send a message to my colleague for some reason. I had to restart the PC or restart my phone for some reason. I don't know why it was buggy. Maybe it was overloaded or something.
The desktop and mobile apps are quite different. They should work to make both virtually the same.View full review »

There are a couple of faulty areas that need improvement. The interface could be a little bit more user-friendly.
When you click on files, pictures, or PDFs when someone sends them to you on Teams, they don't always appear on the system; you have to go back and click again. To be able to see pictures and documents for the first time is something that needs to be improved.
One thing I would like to be able to do is ping more conversations than I currently can. We can currently only ping 15, but I'd like to see new features that allow for 20 or 25 pings; that would be good.View full review »
It's a really good application, a good program. However, maybe the whole UI could change a bit in the future. After a while, it gets to be too much of the same in the eye of the customer. Maybe they need a column, or maybe a background, or something like that to mix things up.
They need to improve the scalability of Teams.View full review »

Because many companies use a variety of tools, the main feature could be to integrate the ability to participate in any meeting regardless of the platform they are using. For example, if you are invited to a Google Meet session, you should be able to join it without the need of having installed the specific client to attend that meeting.
It would be the best opportunity to create an abstract of which online collaboration tools are being used to avoid installing Zoom, Teams, or WebEx. It's currently the best time to try something new; I know it's technically difficult or perhaps impossible, but that should be a good starting point. Allowing you to participate in the conference to which you have been invited regardless of the platform on which it is hosted would be beneficial.View full review »
As an app installed, Microsoft Teams is resource-consuming. When using it from their browser-based application, I experienced login problems.
For future releases, I would like to see Microsoft Teams make a lighter application and drop some features.
Microsoft Teams has all the features it needs, however, I noticed on some laptops that the features are not available. For example, if you want to change your virtual background, not all laptops have the hardware configured to link with that feature. The solution should make all features available irrespective of hardware configuration.View full review »
Microsoft Teams could improve the integration with Outlook because most of us are not using the last version of Outlook and it causes some issues.
In the next release of Microsoft Teams, they should make the mobile application easier to manage. Additionally, they should add more features.View full review »
Microsoft Teams could improve because it is heavy on bandwidth. We have some access points and when we have 30 or 40 users on it with Microsoft Teams calls can drop. WebEx does not use as much bandwidth.
When someone joins a meeting we are not able to kick them out.View full review »

The call quality could be better sometimes. Microsoft could improve the quality of the backgrounds. File sharing could also be smoother. It takes a lot of clicks to download and copy the links. It should be only one click.
It's also problematic to get people outside the organization into the chat or groups. I can define my own team irrespective of the organizational structure. Still, if I need to work with external partners or colleagues at my company and want them on one team, it's relatively complicated to add external people to the team.View full review »
I don't like it very much, but I have to use it because it's the standard in the organization for communication. It could be improved if it was easier to use and the interface was revamped.
This solution is not as popular for companies to use as other solutions making it a disadvantage.View full review »
Teams doesn't always sync to show as Do Not Disturb during Outlook meetings. In the next release, it would be useful to see other users' availability.View full review »
