Efficient email management with seamless integration
Pros and Cons
  • "Microsoft Exchange is a user-friendly and easy-to-deploy solution, which is beneficial for handling emails even without professional support."
  • "The biggest issue with Microsoft Exchange is its high cost, especially in pricing for license upgrades and expansion to more users."

What is our primary use case?

We previously used Microsoft Exchange but have moved to an MDN email solution due to cost and user growth.

What is most valuable?

Microsoft Exchange is a user-friendly and easy-to-deploy solution, which is beneficial for handling emails even without professional support. It is effective in managing email integration with tools like Outlook. Although pricing is a limiting factor, it proves to be an efficient solution for organizations familiar with its functionality.

What needs improvement?

The biggest issue with Microsoft Exchange is its high cost, especially in pricing for license upgrades and expansion to more users. The solution is not cost-effective for companies in economies with limited resources.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

While Microsoft Exchange is a top solution, the licensing and associated costs make it challenging to scale, especially when user numbers increase.

How are customer service and support?

The Microsoft support structure, while technically proficient, involves case transfers across different global locations, leading to increased resolution times.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We switched from Microsoft Exchange to an MDN email solution due to the increasing cost and our company's expansion.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Microsoft Exchange is costly, and its licensing model can be expensive over time as more users require licenses.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have researched Google Workspace, IceWarp, and Zimbra Collaboration.

What other advice do I have?

Microsoft Exchange is a strong solution but costly, especially for regions with limited financial resources. Despite this, I would recommend Microsoft Exchange for its efficiency and ease of use. Overall, I rate Microsoft Exchange nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Hybrid Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
