Stable, with good storage and very good performance
Pros and Cons
  • "The storage portion of the solution is very good. It has a very large capacity."
  • "The storage portion of the solution is very good, it has a very large capacity, and the installation and performance have been good with no complaints about the integration capability, reporting, management, and monitoring."
  • "The management could be a bit better."
  • "Sometimes we feel that it is a little bit slow to connect to the public cloud."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for office emails.

What is most valuable?

The storage portion of the solution is very good. It has a very large capacity. We have 28GB of storage.

The installation and performance have been good. We have no complaints about the integration capability, reporting, management, and monitoring. So far, everything has been good on all of those fronts.

What needs improvement?

We have only just used the solution for a one-month period now. We do need more time to work with the product to get to know its ins and outs a bit better. That said, sometimes we feel that it is a little bit slow to connect to the public cloud. Not all the time. Just some of the time.

The management could be a bit better.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have only used the solution for about a month. We've just completed an internal migration. It hasn't really been that long since we began using it.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We've found the solution to be pretty stable in general. We are accessing it through the internet, and we find that sometimes the internet is going slow or something we don't have access to. That's the only issue. That's not a Microsoft issue, however. Only the internet connection might be a problem. Beyond that, there are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution's scalability is okay. We haven't had any issues. We have more than 5000 employees or so on it and we are using the solution without issue. It's scaled well to meet our needs.

How are customer service and technical support?

We haven't had the opportunity to contact technical support just yet. I can't speak to how helpful or responsive they are. I've never directly dealt with them.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, we used the standalone Office. Now, we use the Microsoft single-use license from the cloud.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was not overly complex. We didn't find it too difficult. It was rather easy. Our IT team managed it. We didn't have any issues with the process. If a company needs to set it up, it shouldn't be too hard to handle.

What about the implementation team?

Our IT team was able to handle the implementation myself. It was easy. Therefore, I didn't need the assistance of an integrator or consultant.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We have a separate IT team. They were doing the installation and the procurement. Therefore, I can't speak to the exact licensing arrangement or the pricing.

What other advice do I have?

We both use the solution and we are a reseller. We're a Microsoft partner.

I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

As a user, I can recommend the solution. It works well and has very fine capabilities.

Unstable with a difficult licensing process and an inability to scale down effectively
Pros and Cons
  • "The initial setup is very straightforward."
  • "The installation of the product is not overly complex or difficult."
  • "The solution isn't stable."
  • "We haven't been happy with it due to the fact that we need to keep paying for all of these emails of past employees."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solutions for the email services on offer. We are able to share the software and Excel spreadsheets quite often.

What is most valuable?

The solution's most valuable aspect is the ability to share and use spreadsheets.

The initial setup is very straightforward. It's pretty easy and not overly complex.

What needs improvement?

The solution isn't stable. It's an important aspect of the product that needs to be looked at and worked on.

I do not agree with how the licensing is set up. If you have a staff member leave your organization, for example, you still have to keep paying for the email address. I have staff members that have left a year ago and I'm still paying for their license.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've been using the solution for a couple of years at this point. It has been a while. I've had a good amount of experience and time with it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We are not happy with the scalability. It seems difficult to scale down. If a person leaves, you still need to deal with their email and you are forced to keep paying for it.

We have 18 individuals using the solution currently.

We likely will continue to use the solution, as it is such a struggle to actually change products and move to something different.

How are customer service and technical support?

I've never used technical support. I can't speak to how knowledgeable or responsive they are. I have no experience with them whatsoever.

How was the initial setup?

The installation of the product is not overly complex or difficult. It's very easy and quite straightforward. A company shouldn't have any issues with the process.

What about the implementation team?

I didn't handle the installation personally. There was somebody else in charge of the installation process. they may have used an outside consultant or integrator, however, I don't have that information as I was not a part of the process.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing needs to be changed. We shouldn't have to pay for emails if we have employees that have left the company.

What other advice do I have?

I'd rate the solution at a five out of ten. We haven't been happy with it due to the fact that we need to keep paying for all of these emails of past employees.

I would not recommend the product to other companies.

We have about seven people on the solution, currently.

We do plan to increase usage if and when we do add staff to our organization.

An enterprise business solution that provides data security and more storage
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the user interface, it's pretty good, data security is also there, and it gives you more storage space, and it supports iOS and Android, which is good."
  • "It would be better if Microsoft supported more integrations."

What is our primary use case?

We use it mainly for messaging and data storage. Mainly for storing OneDrive data.

What is most valuable?

I like the user interface. It's pretty good. Data security is also there, and it gives you more storage space. It supports iOS and Android, which is good.

What needs improvement?

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's a scalable solution. We have over 65,000 users at the moment.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup and deployment are easy.

What about the implementation team?

Nobody will implement this solution for you, whether you're a company or not. If you get a laptop, it's pre-installed. But if you do it from your home, doing your own DIYs, and you have mobile phones, your home laptops, and you need to install it on your own, you can do it. It's easy if you're familiar with Microsoft products.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend this solution to potential users.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Microsoft 365 Business an eight.
