Has an initial setup phase that is simple and automated for users
Pros and Cons
  • "The product's initial setup phase is very simple and automated. Everything can be made ready within a few clicks."
  • "If Check Point finds something to be described as a clean email, it should have the option to automatically release it to the user. At the moment, we don't have that option."

What needs improvement?

Some emails, specifically false positive emails, are, at times, detected by Microsoft under the phishing category. Check Point also detects phishing emails. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a tool that does not pass emails through the user's inbox, even if it feels like an email is not spam or involves phishing. Suppose a tool like Microsoft Defender detects any phishing activity. In such scenarios, emails are quarantined by Microsoft, and then Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration cannot pass such emails to the user. I feel it is an area that can be improved. There are good options with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, as one can still quarantine suspicious emails, and the users can see those in just a few clicks. The false positives are an area where the tool can introduce certain improvements they can improve by releasing emails to a user's inbox if it feels that there are certain areas consisting of false positives.

In the future, it would be great if it is possible to use the tool with Microsoft to help in the area revolving around false positives. Check Point should be able to release emails to the inbox even if there are some phishing emails. If Check Point finds something to be described as a clean email, it should have the option to automatically release it to the user. At the moment, we don't have that option. They have an option for spam emails but not for the emails associated with phishing.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have four months of experience with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration. I am unsure about the tool's version, but I know it is a cloud platform. The technical people handling Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration take care of the upgrades.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Around 500 people use the tool in my company. Two administrators are needed for the tool.

The product's usage would have to be increased if the organization grows.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support for the solution is good because, so far, I have seen that they are very fast. I raised only a couple of tickets in the last four months, so it is not much, but I have seen that the support team is good. The product is very simple to manage and is not very complicated. It is a very straightforward tool. I rate the technical support a nine out of ten.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I know that my company was using a custom Linux-based system. I am not sure if it was managed by different administrators in our office. As it was a legacy system, my company wanted to go for a professional one that is more of a cloud-based solution.

How was the initial setup?

The product's initial setup phase is very simple and automated. Everything can be made ready within a few clicks.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

As we are a non-profit organization, we got the tool with a good offer. On a yearly basis, we pay 10,000 Euro for 500 users, which also includes the technical support part.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Our organization was comparing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration with Proofpoint, which is an expensive tool, making it not so cost-effective for non-profit organizations like ours, where we have our budget limitations.

My company had Mimecast and Proofpoint as optional products when we evaluated the tools in the market, but we didn't go with the proof of concept model for both. Proofpoint was expensive when compared to Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration was a little bit better compared to Mimecast.

What other advice do I have?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is good, especially if you use Microsoft 365. The tool works well with Microsoft 365, which is why I feel it is a good product, as it offers compatibility. I can recommend Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration if you are a Microsoft 365 customer.

My company has never tried to see if Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is compatible with other products. In our organization, we just write this Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, which is our first product as an email security platform. We were satisfied with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

I would recommend the product to others. If people don't use Microsoft 365, then Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration won't be a compatible tool in their environment. Exchange Online users can use Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

The invisible, multi-layer security enables full-suite protection for cloud collaboration solutions
Pros and Cons
  • "It protects cloud email and collaboration suites from cyber-attacks that evade default and advanced security tools. Its invisible, multi-layer security enables full-suite protection for cloud collaboration solutions such as Office 365, G-Suite, Teams, and Slack."

What is our primary use case?

We use Harmony Email & Collaboration to prevent malicious emails from reaching inboxes, guarding against the attacks of threat actors.

We have also enabled a data leakage policy based on our client's needs, with hundreds of predefined and custom data types.

Below are the security elements of Harmony Email & Office which we use in our client environment.

    • Anti-phishing for incoming and internal emails.
    • Complete known malware and zero-day malware prevention (Sandboxing)
    • Attachment sanitization (CDR, Threat Extraction)
    • Malicious URL protection (URL Protection)

How has it helped my organization?

The below features have improved our client experience:

    • Anti-phishing for incoming and internal emails.
    • Complete known malware and zero-day malware prevention (Sandboxing)
    • Attachment sanitization (CDR, Threat Extraction)
    • Malicious URL protection (URL Protection)

It protects cloud email and collaboration suites from cyber-attacks that evade default and advanced security tools. Its invisible, multi-layer security enables full-suite protection for cloud collaboration solutions such as Office 365, G-Suite, Teams, and Slack.

    What is most valuable?

The main features are as follows

Harmony Email & Collaboration secures major file-sharing services such as Google Drive, ShareFile, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Box, and Dropbox from malware, ransomware, and east-west attacks. It also prevents accidental or malicious data loss.
Mainly, we are using Harmony Email & Collaboration to detect sensitive data sharing via email and other collaboration apps, and immediately limit data exposure. It enables the enforcement of a data leakage policy in our client environment, with predefined and custom data types.

    What needs improvement?

    • Phishing incidents and functionality bugs are misrepresented and can lead to inconsistent email encryption, affecting user experience and potentially compromising security.
    • This product should prioritize a zero-trust approach.
    • There are unexplained settings in the security console that lack proper documentation or explanation from the vendor, leaving users without support.
    • For instance, the back-end query language used to process user-based phishing reports is not documented.
    • Additionally, certain features, such as the inability to whitelist DLP events by user, are lacking and their inclusion would reduce unnecessary alerts.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this for more than a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is 100% percent stable and secure.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I have a really good impression of the scalability as it protects more of the Office 365 suite than just email. I appreciate that system logs capture when someone views the body of an email. It is reasonably priced for the coverage it provides.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support and vendor engagement is really good in comparison to other vendors.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have multiple clients. We use Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one of our clients.

    How was the initial setup?

It is a much simpler product to set up and support compared to other vendors we have reviewed. It does a much better job of blocking phishing with little to no customization. This product just works out of the box without needing any specific fancy rules.

    What about the implementation team?

We have our Professional Services who do implementation-related pieces for our clients. It's really good in comparison to other vendors.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is very easy to implement and it can see actions taken by Harmony and Microsoft 365 in a single console. It is cost-effective and works well for many of the budget constraint enterprises.

What other advice do I have?

It has an extremely high success rate of keeping junk/spam/phishing emails out while allowing the right emails through. The setup is extremely easy. Vendor Engagement and webinars are always happening- Check Point has monthly new feature meetings, so overall I am having a great experience.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

    Hybrid Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Helps quarantine emails with security issues
    Pros and Cons
    • "The product offers good and easy integration capabilities with other products."
    • "I need to go to Check Point's admin portal if I want to see the license list and the details of the users of the tool, making it an area of concern where some ease of process should be provided from an improvement perspective."

What is our primary use case?

I use the solution in my company to secure the users' environment so that there are no phishing attacks. The tool operates as an anti-spam solution for the users in our company. Each and every email passes through the email security scanning process. Emails with issues get quarantined by the solution.

    What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of the solution include all of the functionalities offered by the tool, which work fine. I cannot say that a particular feature does not work fine. Each and every feature provided by the product works fine.

    What needs improvement?

At the time of the purchase of the product for the users in my company, I am unable to see or get details of the users for whom the product has been purchased. I need to go to Check Point's admin portal if I want to see the license list and the details of the users of the tool, making it an area of concern where some ease of process should be provided from an improvement perspective.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

There are day-to-day updates in the solution. The product gets updated automatically since it is a SaaS-based tool. My company does not have to invest time to upgrade any applications in the product. In general, it is a hassle-free process to work with the product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

My company has around 50 users of the product.

My company plans to increase the number of uses of the product in the upcoming two or three months.

How are customer service and support?

The need to seek technical support depends upon the severity of the issues that we face in our company with the product. Depending on the severity of the issue, my company connects with the support team in three to four hours. During high-severity cases when our entire organization goes down due to some issue in the product, my company connects directly with the support team.

    How was the initial setup?

People already use the product as a SaaS-based tool, but it can be complex if used at an in-house level only. As a SaaS-based tool, the product is easy to use without complexities.

The solution is deployed on the cloud.

The solution can be deployed in twenty minutes to half an hour.

    What was our ROI?

I work in a hospital where we purchased the tool for security purposes. Being a hospital, we did not purchase the product with an ROI angle in mind.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't even have details of the product's single license purchased by my company.

What other advice do I have?

The product is useful as it works fine to secure our company's email communication. My company has not faced any issues since the time we purchased the solution.

The product has improved our organization's functioning as a secure collaboration tool, considering that different products are made available in the market on a day-to-day basis. As a tool for email security, the solution serves as one of the best products in the market.

The product offers good and easy integration capabilities with other products. When it comes to integration, the product will ask about the credentials of the global applications to the tool's admin, after which it will automatically scan the licenses of the integrated products.

The reports and analytics part of the product is fine for my company since it allows us to check the analytical reports on a weekly basis at a user level. The product provides different kinds of reports like anti-spam reports that we can check in our company.

I recommended the product to those who plan to use it for email security purposes, as it offers a seamless and user-friendly experience to its users. There is no complexity involved in integrations with other products for better email security.

The need for cybersecurity will increase in different ways on a daily basis. The product does not provide alerts. The product fails to provide alerts if some issue occurs at a global level. From an improvement perspective, the product should provide alerts related to email security to its users.

I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Good DLP and threat prevention and helpful centralized management
    Pros and Cons
    • "It is fast and quite effective in terms of preventing any security incidents."
    • "Although it has good characteristics, it should improve the graphical interface and the latency that it sometimes presents."

What is our primary use case?

The company handles confidential information, such as clients' financial data, and it is important to keep that information secure to comply with certain regulations.

One of the important challenges was to counteract the amount of phishing, ransomware attacks, and accidental leaks of information through email and collaboration applications.

We did not have a tool that would provide this security, so we chose to look for one and apply it to our environment.

How has it helped my organization?

The company handles a large amount of client information, some of which is confidential, including account numbers and sensitive information. This tool provides us with the features to meet the needs we have.

One of these features is real-time threat prevention. It uses advanced analytics to detect and block malicious emails, phishing, and unwanted content before they reach inboxes. It also has DLP. This helps prevent the leak of information. In this way, we can reduce vulnerabilities.

    What is most valuable?

The tool has many important features. Some of them are very valuable.

One of the most valuable is real-time prevention, which constantly analyzes and provides results. The leak control that comes with DLP is excellent.

It provides us with a more centralized management where we can monitor everything that happens in our environment and in this way, can manage the security policies necessary for our organization in real time.

It is fast and quite effective in terms of preventing any security incidents.

    What needs improvement?

The product is a very effective tool. It provides a lot of security to ensure the confidentiality of the information.

Although it has good characteristics, it should improve the graphical interface and the latency that it sometimes presents.

They should also improve the quality of technical support since, in the last few years, they have lowered the quality of SLA response and do not provide concise solutions.

They should also generate a knowledge base where the unified information or the most common errors are found so as not to depend so much on support.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience using the solution for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    The stability presents as efficient.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is new; it is multi-cloud.

How are customer service and support?

The experience has not been very good since we have had problems with the SLA.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

There was no previous solution in the organization.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial implementation is complicated when you do not have experience with said tool.

    What about the implementation team?

It was implemented with the seller and his engineer in charge, which was very fast and friendly.

    What was our ROI?

The investment is somewhat high. However, it will provide security for all customer information.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The tool is somewhat competitive with the others on the market. The installation has an average learning curve.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Several solutions were evaluated, such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint Email Protection, and Cisco Secure Email.

What other advice do I have?

It is an excellent tool for information security. Before acquiring it, you must analyze whether it meets company needs.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

    Private Cloud

Email defenses have blocked phishing attempts and now protect sensitive data across collaboration
    Pros and Cons
      • "The dashboard is the major area for improvement, but apart from that, all the rest is acceptable."

What is our primary use case?

My major use cases for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration are primarily preventing all means of malicious or phishing emails, and I also want to protect DLP, which means DLP service. These are the major use cases for us.

      What is most valuable?

The biggest advantage of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is the security portfolio offered by Check Point, as it is a proven top-tier company. Their security advantages and latest security signatures help us protect our client's network as well as their data. This is clear regarding the effectiveness of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration with AI-powered threat intelligence in blocking email threats.

      What needs improvement?

The dashboard is the major area for improvement, but apart from that, all the rest is acceptable. The deployment for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is complex and not straightforward.

The biggest challenge in deploying the product is setting up the dashboard for customer use cases, as that customization is more complicated compared to other solutions.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for almost one and a half years, and I am nearing completion of two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a stable product for me; whether it is for fifty users or fifteen thousand users, the same stability is maintained.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is scalable, so we can adjust it as needed.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

A few years back we were using Cisco solutions, and right now, we are using Cisco Meraki. We are also working with Cisco Wireless access points, and currently, we are focusing on Cisco Meraki.

      How was the initial setup?

In terms of the deployment model, it varies case by case; mostly, we deploy it on the cloud, but some customers might have specific requirements. Usually, we suggest deploying on Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration's cloud or AWS due to better implementation capabilities.

The deployment for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is complex and not straightforward. The biggest challenge in deploying the product is setting up the dashboard for customer use cases, as that customization is more complicated compared to other solutions.

      What about the implementation team?

I am the reseller, meaning we are the integrators, so we are integrating all these solutions for our customers.

      What was our ROI?

Measuring ROI for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is quite difficult due to the nature of security solutions, but Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration's ROI is much better than other OEMs because it secures our network and reduces the number of attacks. If I would measure it in percentage, I believe attacks have reduced by around thirty percent based on the effectiveness of the solution.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is slightly higher in pricing than FortiGate or Sophos, but not excessively high. When considering the initial payment and pricing, CFOs tend to prioritize figures over technical aspects, so it is crucial to get clear instructions from CTOs or COOs to navigate comparisons made by financial teams.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are using Fortinet firewalls and ZTNA. For vulnerability management, we are considering a solution such as Lacework, which I understand is a SIEM solution. We are also using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, specifically Check Point Email Gateway.

What other advice do I have?

I would give Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration an overall rating of ten points. Even though there is a problem with the dashboard setup being challenging, I would still give it the maximum rating of ten points.

All these automated tools at the gateway level, especially for email gateway, help to prevent data leakage and protect against malware and phishing, which Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration rates at ninety-nine point nine percent effectiveness, and this will help us protect our network.

In terms of collaboration with security products, we can integrate with SaaS applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, or even Dropbox, which makes the platform integration more productive for our clients or employees using various applications. The integration process is straightforward, and I do not see any complexity here.

All applications listed on the Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration site offer straightforward integration capabilities. As a service provider, I can observe a significant impact on phishing attack mitigation with this solution. The overall rating I am providing for this review is ten points.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Phishing emails significantly drop with effective filtering features
      Pros and Cons
      • "The phishing filtering feature is valuable for me because it stops most of the phishing emails before they hit the users' inboxes, ensuring that users don't see the infected or phishing emails."
      • "I would rate the customer support a four, maximum, because I have had to reach out to them, and it wasn't great. I ended up with a technician that didn't actually know how to resolve the issue and was just doing basic level one troubleshooting, so it was very time-consuming to work with them."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stopping phishing attacks and spam coming into our users in our organization.

I don't have anything else to add about my main use case or any other ways I use Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

      What is most valuable?

The best features Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers are definitely the phishing filtering.

The phishing filtering feature is valuable for me because it stops most of the phishing emails before they hit the users' inboxes, ensuring that users don't see the infected or phishing emails. It's really good at its job, so it stops at least 99% of the emails that come into our organization.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my organization as it has definitely cut down on the amount of phishing emails that are being delivered to users' inboxes.

We have seen a drastic number of reductions of successful phishing attacks, with metrics showing it stops about 99% of the attempted emails before they hit the user's inbox.

      What needs improvement?

I don't think Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration needs improvement; it just does what it's supposed to do.

I don't want to add more about the needed improvements.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been very stable for me; I haven't noticed any downtime at all, and even if there's downtime, it fails open, so it won't impact emails.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration's scalability is good, as you pay per user, so it scales automatically as the organization grows.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the customer support a four, maximum, because I have had to reach out to them, and it wasn't great. I ended up with a technician that didn't actually know how to resolve the issue and was just doing basic level one troubleshooting, so it was very time-consuming to work with them.

How would you rate customer service and support?

      Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used Microsoft Defender before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, but we switched because it was very time-consuming to tune properly, and also, most of the emails were delivered to users' inboxes and then removed afterwards.

      How was the initial setup?

My advice for others looking into using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is that it's very easy to set up. I think the setup was done in 30 minutes, so if you decide to go for it, there's not much consideration to be done, actually.

      What was our ROI?

I have definitely seen a return on investment, as there are fewer incidents after deploying this software. We have gone from three to four successful phishing attacks every year to a maximum of one.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is that it's licensed per user, and the price is fair. The pricing is very good and easy.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate other options before choosing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

What other advice do I have?

I can give a specific example of how Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has helped me stop phishing or spam. We bought this product because Microsoft Defender let through phishing attempts, and one of our users clicked that one. So we looked for a vendor to assist us with additional filtering on our incoming emails. Since we implemented Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it's been great. It stops most, if not all, of the phishing attacks against us.

I would rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration a 10 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Good for preventing phishing with a nice dashboard and Explore page
      Pros and Cons
      • "The dashboard provides information to investigate more about malicious activity and blocked emails."
      • "It would be good to have the option to export the respective record data from dashboards or logs to .csv or other files."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution to prevent any phishing emails from reaching out to the end users. We also use it for URL protection and DLP, to protect the end users from ransomware attacks, and to avoid any issues that halt business activities.

We used to have another solution for email security and we used to find so many issues while using it. We could not stop some phishing emails from getting into the user's mailbox and were worried about losing data. We had to work on fine-tuning the solution all the time to avoid the issues. We came to know about Check Point and wanted to try for email security.

How has it helped my organization?

We have blocked more phishing emails since we started using Check Point. The solution works brilliantly in filtering and the amount of information provided is unmatched and helped us in various ways.

The Explore page provides multiple options for searching for emails and other information. Quarantine/removing from Quarantine has become so easy with search options

The dashboard provides information to investigate more about malicious activity and blocked emails.

Check Point has become our go-to solution for most of our issues.

      What is most valuable?

We like the email search options, availability of information on various aspects, algorithms, and AI models that provide pretty useful data - and the list goes on!

The email search/explore option helped us find the required emails and logs easily with multiple filters to use.

Information provided in each and every email is very useful for investigating any activity. We do not have to use multiple websites for that information since everything is provided in Check Point itself.

AI-based models and algorithms provide more accurate and useful information.

      What needs improvement?

It would be good to have the option to export the respective record data from dashboards or logs to .csv or other files. That will help in creating more filters and analyzing the data.

Providing more Training videos and documentation will be helpful for beginners to understand how checkpoint works.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've used the solution for the past eight months.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used some other email security tools and we used to have multiple issues with email filtering and available information. We do not see any of those issues after using Check Point.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We are good with the licensing.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We directly chose Check Point since we could not find any better alternative.

What other advice do I have?

It is the perfect one-stop solution for securing the organization!

Along with great technical support, the solution also offers phishing protection
      Pros and Cons
      • "The most valuable feature of the solution is the phishing protection it offers."
      • "The solution fails to support hybrid deployments."

What is our primary use case?

My company uses Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to provide security for Office 365 email and collaboration apps like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other related tools.

      What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution is the phishing protection it offers.

      What needs improvement?

The solution fails to support hybrid deployments.

Currently, the solution supports cloud email only. It would be great if they could also support hybrid deployments.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for three years. My company has a partnership with Check Point.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten since there were a few minor issues that were quickly resolved while the uptime of the product has not been 100 percent.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

I would say that probably around 50 percent of our customer base uses the solution.

How are customer service and support?

The solution's technical support is very good. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

      Positive

      How was the initial setup?

I rate the product's initial setup a nine out of ten since the setup phase is seamless 99 percent of the time. If the end user customized the Office 365 tenant a lot, then a manual setup might be required.

The solution is deployed on the public cloud while supporting cloud services from Google and Microsoft.

The deployment process of the solution takes about five minutes. It would probably take ten minutes if we consider from start to finish of the deployment process.

For deployment, there is a need to create an account in Check Point Infinity Portal, after which you can activate Harmony Email & Collaboration module and then provide the credentials to your Office 365 tenant, following which the integration process starts.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I rate the product's pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.

It is a reasonably priced product offering good value for money.

What other advice do I have?

I would say that since Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration provides a two-week evaluation option, it's very easy to integrate into your environment in a read-only mode so that it doesn't interfere with your email. It just scans and then provides you a report afterward of the threats your solution has missed and what Check Point would have caught.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a fantastic solution.

I rate the overall tool a ten out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      Public Cloud

Has a user-friendly dashboard, a great anti-phishing algorithm, and sandboxing for testing
      Pros and Cons
      • "The solution has a very effective anti-phishing algorithm that detects a significantly higher number of phishing emails compared to the default Microsoft solution."
      • "I would like Check Point to extend its coverage to include more cloud applications."

What is our primary use case?

Usually, the customer is on Office 365, and the main selling point for us is that approximately 95 percent of customers do not have the E5 license from Microsoft, which is the highest tier. As a result, they lack advanced email protection. Therefore, using a third-party solution is more cost-effective than upgrading to an E5 license, and it also offers greater sophistication. This solution can cover not only Office 365 but also other platforms. Furthermore, it carries the reputable brand name Check Point and is well-known in the security industry.

      What is most valuable?

The centralized management dashboard is easy to use. We usually sell advanced packets that include sandboxing for attachments, which is highly critical to most customers. The solution has a very effective anti-phishing algorithm that detects a significantly higher number of phishing emails compared to the default Microsoft solution. Additionally, it is user-friendly. When customers need to make exceptions to the policy, they find it quite easy to navigate the dashboard. However, what customers mostly care about are the anti-phishing and sandboxing features.

      What needs improvement?

The price has room for improvement. Perhaps, if Check Point offered an SMB bucket for up to 100 users or a similar option. This could be beneficial as it would likely result in a more cost-effective solution.

I would like Check Point to extend its coverage to include more cloud applications. Currently, 95 percent of our customers are using Office 365 or Google Mail. It would be beneficial if the solution covered a broader range of applications.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We haven't experienced any stability issues with the solution as it is cloud-based and thus quite stable. I can't say the same for another cloud product, though. The stability is mainly due to the architecture rather than the solution itself.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scaling the solution is not a problem because it is cloud-based. The number of customer email accounts can range from fifty to five thousand; it doesn't really matter for the solution.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is average. Like with most companies, when they are not dealing with an enterprise customer, their response is usually medium to slow, unless it's a very critical issue.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Some of our customers used FortiMail but discovered that certain malicious emails were able to bypass the solution, unlike Check Point, which identified and quarantined the emails.

      How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy. The deployment takes ten minutes and requires only one person.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Due to its pricing, I would say that Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is more suitable for medium to enterprise organizations. For smaller customers, they usually require something more affordable, but it's not related to the features of the product. It's clearly about the pricing.

The license is issued on a yearly basis. On their website, we can observe a price per month, but it's derived from the yearly cost. I don't believe we have the option to purchase it for just a few months, for example.

As far as Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is concerned, we only need to pay for the license. Additionally, we have the option to integrate or add an additional support package, which includes the implementation course, and so on. However, for the solution, we only need to pay for the license.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration an eight out of ten. It's a good solution, but I rarely give a perfect ten to any product. So, I believe it offers a fair value with some room for improvement. It could be rated nine out of ten.

As Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a cloud-based solution, there is no need to assist users with hardware-level maintenance. Everything is managed in the cloud, eliminating the necessity for updates or firmware adjustments, among other things. However, like any cybersecurity solution, it is essential to keep the policies up to date. For instance, within our organization, we need to periodically train staff on configuration and maintenance to ensure it remains current. Although it requires some maintenance, it is minimal, and one person is sufficient to handle it.

We work with medium and enterprise customers.

As long as the pricing is acceptable for an organization, I would recommend Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration because it provides a good solution for its offerings.

Reduces spam, offers excellent reporting, and has good management capabilities
      Pros and Cons
      • "The ease of management and intuitive administration are excellent."
      • "The integration with Gsuite could be improved, especially when reporting the amount of emails it manages to filter."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for the protection of email from phishing attacks, spam, and malicious email-related activities.

It detects and blocks the most advanced phishing attacks across inbound, outbound, and internal communications, in real-time, before the attack succeeds.

The solution is used for email protection, providing IT administrators with a great amount of information about possible attacks faced by the organization, and logins by users.

It also has a high level of detail in its reports, facilitating the management and detection of possible threats to the security of the organization.

With the addition of the DMARC module, it makes it much easier to monitor the security policies applied and provides visual information about the type of traffic received, avoiding domain spoofing.

How has it helped my organization?

The number of phishing and spam emails has decreased and email security has improved by 80%. The IT team has noticed a great improvement in the number of emails received and a decrease in attacks. The helpful alerts generated by HEC facilitate the management and response.

Thanks to its dashboard, it displays detailed information about detected activities, suspicious logins, span deletions, or phishing detected and blocked with a high level of detail. The level of reporting detail facilitates threat management; now the organization has an additional layer of protection for end users.

      What is most valuable?

The ease of management and intuitive administration are excellent. Thanks to its dashboard, the most valuable thing is the detection capability provided by this solution. The level of detail offered by Harmony is unique, to the point of showing the differences between what is detected by Office 365 and what is detected by HEC. The organization relies on this email security solution and facilitates the protection of all end users, decreasing security breaches by malicious actors.

      What needs improvement?

The integration with Gsuite could be improved, especially when reporting the amount of emails it manages to filter. It could be improved to obtain a greater level of detail, unlike Office 365, which offers an extreme level of detail and facilitates the management and comparison of what is happening with respect to the mail. Its integration with Gsuite is simpler and has that point against it, however high levels of detail can be obtained in the reports of the solution. On the other hand, the ease of administration and threat detection capabilities are its strong points, and it stands out from other solutions that I have had the opportunity to test before.

For how long have I used the solution?

Currently, this solution has been used for the last tree years.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
