Robust email protection strengthens security posture while saving time
What is our primary use case?
The main use case is to provide email security and implement email security for Office 365, integrating with Microsoft Office 365 for incoming and outgoing emails, as well as for lateral movement email and east-west email traffic, which includes internal emails, allowing all these emails to be monitored and inspected by Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.
Integration with Microsoft Office 365 is very straightforward, requiring just a few clicks and global admin credentials of the Microsoft Office account, enabling us to integrate Office 365 in just a few clicks, making it a straightforward process.
What is most valuable?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers AI-driven inspection of emails, which can scan for malicious traffic, malicious email attachments, phishing links, or phishing mails, and importantly, it provides protection against password-protected files, allowing inspection of email attachments that are password-protected due to its AI-driven features, along with sandboxing capabilities to detect zero-day attacks.
On the dashboard, I see hundreds of emails that got quarantined due to malicious content, including malicious attachments, phishing mails, or identity impersonation, and these types of malicious mails got quarantined and blocked at the edge.
By implementing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it has helped the organization protect against malicious emails entering the network, allowing users to browse only clean emails, which has improved the security posture and saved unnecessary time by preventing disruptions in the network, indirectly aiding the organization's growth.
What needs improvement?
I would suggest that support for other third-party email service providers would be great because coverage is currently limited to only Office 365 and Google Suite, and expanding support to other email platforms would enhance integration possibilities for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.
For example, some clients are using old legacy email service providers such as IBM Notes, which cannot be integrated with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as it currently only supports Office 365 and Google Suite, thus impacting workflow when needing integration with those other email solutions.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year and have implemented Check Point Harmony Email security.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stable in my experience.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is good, as it can integrate SaaS applications and Office 365 very smoothly. I estimate that around 2,000 users in the organization are protected by Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, ensuring they remain safe from phishing mails or any malicious attachments, leading to no further disruptions in the network, which is beneficial for the organization.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is quite good.
I rate customer support nine out of ten because I believe there should be some improvements regarding response time from the OEM.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not previously use a different solution before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is straightforward and can be completed within less than 15 days, allowing us to perform its POC and get it inline the following week.
What about the implementation team?
We have a business relationship with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as we are partners.
What was our ROI?
Money is saved because there are no business disruptions, ensuring everything runs smoothly as unwanted malicious attachments and emails are blocked at the perimeter, preventing them from being delivered to users, which allows users to safely browse their emails without problems, thus saving unnecessary time and helping the organization focus on their desired tasks.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The experience with pricing and cost is acceptable; Check Point is a little bit expensive compared to other vendors, but the cost justifies itself.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend others looking into Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to go with this good solution, keeping the settings on best practices which are already set for all policies by default, and for integration, just need global admin credentials to integrate into Office 365, which is very smooth.
I rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration 10 out of 10.

AI-driven email protection boosts threat detection and operational efficiency
Pros and Cons
- "Checkpoint Harmony Email and Collaboration has significantly improved our email security by effectively blocking phishing, malware and ransomware threats."
- "While Check Point Harmony Email and Collaboration offers useful analytics, there is potential for improvement in providing deeper insights."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration involves protecting against email threats that are present in the current landscape, and it has been effective for our organization, stopping many different kinds of threats for us, including phishing attacks and ransomware attacks, and this effectiveness has made me particularly impressed by the AI capabilities because it helps stop AI-driven email attacks and provides insights about alerts.
Regarding a specific incident where Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration's AI features stopped a threat, we receive most alerts via email notifications to the admin, and whenever there is an alert, we check the dashboard to investigate. The dashboard presents various kinds of threats and AI indicators that confirm why threats were stopped, allowing us to easily determine whether to quarantine an email based on its classification as a true positive or false positive.
One specific example of a threat caught recently involved an email that was triggered safe by Microsoft, but Check Point triggered an alert because it contained a malicious attachment, which we confirmed through the report that showed the indicators of the threat.
How has it helped my organization?
Checkpoint Harmony email and collaboration has significantly improved our email security by effectively blocking phishing, malware and ransomware threats. With the implementation of checkpoint harmony email and collaboration we are not able to detect many kinds of threats which we were lacking in earlier email security solution. Its seamless integration with microsoft 365 environment and offers real-time threat intelligence, helping our IT teams to detect and respond to incidents faster. We are also benefitting from the centralized management console that has improved visibility and made it easier to enforce consistent policies.
What is most valuable?
The best features of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration that stand out to me include its API-based email security, which allowed us to deploy it quickly compared to Barracuda, and its ability to protect not just incoming and outgoing emails but also internal emails.
The positive impact of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration on our organization includes a noticeable reduction in threats, as we are now able to detect different kinds of threats that we could not before, alongside an impressive dashboard that provides analytics on phishing emails and malware threats, which helps us understand what alerts we could have missed without this solution.
What needs improvement?
While checkpoint Harmony Email and collaboration offers useful analytics, there is potential for improvement in providing deeper insights. More granular , detailed analytics on email traffics, threat patterns, and user behavior would help our team better understand risks and make informed decisions. Additionally, enhancing reporting capabilities with customizable and advanced analytics feature would greatly improve our ability to detect trends and proactivly address emerging threats. There improvements would offer a clearer, more comprehensive view of our email security landscape.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for almost a year now.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously used Barracuda, which could not detect several threats, prompting us to switch to Harmony Email & Collaboration for its improved capabilities.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a return on investment with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration because the investigation process is streamlined with a clean dashboard that saves us time in alert investigations.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is to opt for this solution if you seek email security that is not hard to deploy, as it simplifies the process compared to other gateway-based products, allowing you to get started quickly with just the admin credentials of your email service while offering a robust set of features to detect various types of email threats. I rate this solution nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Cybersecurity Coordinator at Pronaca
Offers good features like anti-spam, anti-phishing and more and easy integration
Pros and Cons
- "The initial setup is easy."
- "The cost is a little bit expensive."
What is our primary use case?
The use cases include anti-spam and anti-phishing. We have Email Collaboration for the anti-spam solution and anti-phishing solution. It’s a very good platform because every day, we block about 1,000 to 5,000 batch emails with malware, spam, etc. So for our business, it’s very important to have this platform, this solution, because it helps us very well with all email.
What is most valuable?
I have only a few features, anti-spam, anti-phishing, and DLP for a use case. It’s a very good platform. I tried all the models, all the features in this platform, and it works very well.
What needs improvement?
The pricing could be improved, because when I first bought it, it was cheaper than it is now. And the first time, I had more features than the trial license. It’s more costly now, but I have fewer features.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for about four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
For the years we’ve worked with the product, we haven’t had downtime.
I would rate the stability a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Our company has around 2,000 users. It is in the retail industry.
I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
We can make a ticket directly to the Check Point pack. It’s a great function. We don’t wait for customer support because customer requires collaboration, and it’s truly the case.
If the customer doesn’t have a fixed mistake in the platform, they need to escalate to Check Point. But I can escalate directly to Check Point for any support or consultation. So it’s very good.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I tried Cisco. I tried with Office 365. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a great solution compared to these other companies because it’s more intuitive. I can see attacks in real-time.
The solution blocks all the malware and phishing emails. The percent of failures is maybe 1%. So 99% of phishing, spam, or malware is blocked with the Harmony solution.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easy. It is because it’s in the cloud. So we need to integrate Harmony with Microsoft Office 365, and it works. Maybe in three minutes to one hour, it works very well. We needed to make policies and collaborate with users, but it was very easy.
The implementation and the resolution took one test.
What about the implementation team?
We had two people, the customer and me, and maybe another person, but three people maximum is enough for the deployment process.
Maintenance is from Check Point. So we don’t need to do anything. It’s a great platform for maintenance. Check Point notifies us, so we need to do maintenance on the platform, and we’re okay with that. We’re good. We don’t need to do anything on the platform.
We don’t need to do anything on the platform.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The cost is a little bit expensive.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend using this platform because it makes policies and email integrations with Office 365 very easy. You can integrate Microsoft Teams with Sharepoint and OneDrive, and you can protect these clouds.
Overall, I would rate it a ten out of ten.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.
Supports phishing prevention across collaboration tools
Pros and Cons
- "The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is because I use Microsoft 365 and need to integrate with a great tool for security in order to protect email and other collaboration tools, such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, from phishing, malware, and other account takeover attacks.
What is most valuable?
In the past, when a user copied a file into SharePoint that had malware and shared this file with other users, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects against this problem.
In our organization, we rely heavily on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for cross-department projects, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects internal file sharing and collaboration across multiple departments by automatically scanning shared files and links before they are accessed by colleagues, preventing malware from spreading internally if someone unknowingly uploads a compromised document.
The best feature that Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers for me is the zero-day threat prevention because it uses sandboxing, and I am driving analysis to catch unknown threats that traditional email and email security means miss.
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been a game changer for our team because sandboxing and zero-day prevention have helped us, and one specific example is a targeted phishing campaign where attackers tried to deliver malicious Excel files with embedded macros; traditionally, those types of files might slip past basic email filters, but Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration sandboxing detonated the file in a virtual environment, detected the malicious behavior, and blocked it before it reached the user's inbox.
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has had a very positive impact on our organization across security, workflows, and user experience, for example, workflow improvements, as employees spend less time second-guessing suspicious emails because Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration automatically blocks phishing attempts and malicious attachments.
I notice time saved because the technical support team has more time for other activities in the organization with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration active.
What needs improvement?
The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for around four or five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is very stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is very scalable, especially when I use different tools in the Infinity Portal.
How are customer service and support?
I find customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to be very great.
I would rate customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as a nine.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
Integrating Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration with our existing systems and tools is easy because of native cloud integration; for example, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration connects directly with Microsoft 365, so we didn't need to install additional gateways or agents, which made the initial deployment much easier.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment in the support department, particularly regarding the time saved.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is great because the pricing is normal compared with other tools in the market.

AI-driven email protection secures data and prevents threats with seamless integration
Pros and Cons
- "Integration is currently limited to Microsoft Office 365 and Google G Suite."
What is our primary use case?
The main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is to protect incoming and outgoing emails. We use Microsoft Office 365 as the platform, integrating it with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration. Our client environment uses Outlook, and we wanted to set up email security directly after Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office performs the first layer of inspection, and then Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration inspects anything Office 365 missed. If an email contains anything malicious, it is not delivered to the end user, providing DLP capabilities for sensitive data as well.
What is most valuable?
The best feature is that it is completely AI-powered, enabling behavior analysis of email traffic. When integrating Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration with an email provider like Microsoft Office 365, the system learns the patterns of past communications. This AI behavior analysis helps identify legitimate emails and potential threats. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration can also scan password-protected and zip folders, a limitation in other solutions. The DLP feature allows organizations to track, inspect, and prevent sensitive data leaks from outgoing emails. Additionally, the system is easy to deploy, often within one or two days. Features for administrators and users allow control over spam mails, and the sandboxing feature scans new attachments and links for zero-day attacks. These unique features make Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration stand out.
What needs improvement?
A noted limitation is that integration is currently limited to Microsoft Office 365 and Google G Suite. Additional support for other vendors would allow access to multiple clients. Updates based on AI and reduced administrative overhead by adding or bulk adding new users, along with graphical enhancements to the GUI, would also be beneficial.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using this solution for more than one year. Initially, I attended Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration's OEM training session and later delivered the POC for one of the clients while testing all the use cases related to email security and completing several projects.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The deployment of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration was straightforward. It is easy to deploy and integrate with the environment, typically taking one or two days to set up email security.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability is limited, being only integrated with Microsoft Office 365 and G Suite at present.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Initially, the organization was using only the Microsoft 365 default email security, which is limited. We wanted a dedicated email security solution, and Check Point had features like DLP, sandboxing, and easy integrations that competitors lacked, leading us to choose it.
How was the initial setup?
The setup process is straightforward and easy to deploy within one or two days.
What was our ROI?
Implementing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has helped to reduce false positive phishing mails and prevent threats from emails, saving the organization time and maintaining business continuity by preventing downtime and enabling employees to focus on their tasks.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing is a bit expensive, but it is worth it considering the features that Check Point provides.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend learning the product thoroughly to maximize its use, such as analyzing links in a virtual environment before clicking them. These small measures make a big difference. Administrators should explore the product deeply to use all its features effectively. I rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration a 10 because of its unique features, high catch rate, and ease of deployment and integration.

What is most valuable?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has a comprehensive analysis page for phishing emails, showing details such as SPF, DKIM, and the AI detection model. The solution also includes sandboxing for links and attachments and has an integrated VirusTotal feature. The relationship between domains is detailed, offering valuable insights including risk analysis and communication history.
The automated incident response feature provides inline prevention by blocking emails before they reach the inbox. It is beneficial for security administrators as they can automate policies without daily manual inspections, leading to fewer false positives.
AI-powered threat intelligence effectively analyzes mail body to detect malicious intent, despite hackers employing new techniques that avoid conventional scans for attachments and links. The effectiveness is rated nine out of ten due to occasional false positives.
URL reputation analysis enhances threat prevention processes, being one of the top URL scanners available. It considers domain age as an indicator of potential malicious activity, alongside VirusTotal and other integrations.
The inspection technologies are robust, safeguarding shared files and integrating with platforms like Teams to block malicious links.
Overall, the benefits of using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration include easing system administration tasks. Features such as banners provide end-users with concise email summaries, enhancing usability and security awareness.
What needs improvement?
Improved support is needed as current support is slow. Additionally, the AI engine could improve, particularly concerning text body attacks where false positives have been noted. Latency issues have also been experienced, with some cases taking fifteen to twenty seconds to process, while others take up to one or two minutes.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for almost one and a half years.

How was the initial setup?
My experience with the initial setup and deployment process of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is that it is minimalized, completing in fifteen minutes. However, since it is AI-based, it requires one day to synchronize and learn all mailboxes before policy setup can begin.
What was our ROI?
In terms of ROI, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration effectively brings ROI to my clients. It suits both SMB and enterprise customers because it is an affordable solution that performs well, resulting in satisfied customers.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with the pricing aspect, including setup cost and licensing cost of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, is that it is minimal. Compared to competitors, it remains competitive.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Apart from Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, I also work with other technologies, specifically Trend Micro. When comparing both, Check Point offers more detailed mail quarantine analysis, proving advantageous for system administrators.
What other advice do I have?
From the features perspective of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it only supports Google Workspace and Office 365 because of its API-based nature. An MX gateway option would enhance the solution.
My advice to other organizations considering Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration would be that it is a great tool. Use it fully but check for false positives initially until fully streamlined. I rate this solution nine out of ten.

Email security has reduced phishing incidents and provides quiet, effective protection daily
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) is protecting against phishing and business email compromise in Office 365.
Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) caught a spoofed executive email asking for a wire transfer, quarantined it, alerted us immediately, and prevented it from being delivered, which stopped potential wire fraud.
Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) runs in the background, and the alerts are clean and not noisy.
What is most valuable?
The best features Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) offers are phishing detection, attachment sandboxing, and easy policy tuning.
Attachment sandboxing has caught suspicious attachments for me. Attachments detonate off-network, we receive a verdict, and users do not notice, leading to fewer panic tickets.
Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) has positively impacted my organization with approximately a 30% drop in phishing incidents and less manual triage, resulting in noticeably fewer risky clicks and less cleanup, which means less stress. We have tracked specific metrics including a roughly 30% drop in phishing incidents and faster response times.
What needs improvement?
Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) could be improved in that reporting could be more customizable, as the dashboards feel somewhat rigid. The rest of the solution is solid.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration)'s governance and security are solid, as it meets our needs with the right access controls and logging.
Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) is generally accurate and reliable for us. False positives are manageable, and we rarely see anything critical get through. When something is flagged, it is usually for good reason, and tuning helps keep the noise down.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration) is to start with a pilot, tune policies early, get user communications ready, keep an eye on the reporting limitations, plan around those limitations, and lean on their support as they are very responsive. I rate this product an eight out of ten.
