My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is because I use Microsoft 365 and need to integrate with a great tool for security in order to protect email and other collaboration tools, such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, from phishing, malware, and other account takeover attacks.
Supports phishing prevention across collaboration tools
Pros and Cons
- "The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
In the past, when a user copied a file into SharePoint that had malware and shared this file with other users, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects against this problem.
In our organization, we rely heavily on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for cross-department projects, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects internal file sharing and collaboration across multiple departments by automatically scanning shared files and links before they are accessed by colleagues, preventing malware from spreading internally if someone unknowingly uploads a compromised document.
The best feature that Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers for me is the zero-day threat prevention because it uses sandboxing, and I am driving analysis to catch unknown threats that traditional email and email security means miss.
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been a game changer for our team because sandboxing and zero-day prevention have helped us, and one specific example is a targeted phishing campaign where attackers tried to deliver malicious Excel files with embedded macros; traditionally, those types of files might slip past basic email filters, but Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration sandboxing detonated the file in a virtual environment, detected the malicious behavior, and blocked it before it reached the user's inbox.
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has had a very positive impact on our organization across security, workflows, and user experience, for example, workflow improvements, as employees spend less time second-guessing suspicious emails because Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration automatically blocks phishing attempts and malicious attachments.
I notice time saved because the technical support team has more time for other activities in the organization with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration active.
What needs improvement?
The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for around four or five years.

Improved email security and user awareness reduce data breaches significantly
Pros and Cons
- "There has been a 70% decrease in phishing emails and data breaches since implementing Check Point Harmony Email Security."
- "For tech people who want to dive deep into self-servicing capabilities, Check Point could improve in this area."
What is our primary use case?
The main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is addressing numerous issues my customer faced with phishing emails and malware that was pushed into their system. They were using Microsoft Defender as a standard security for their email services, so they wanted to implement a more focused solution for Email Security.
What is most valuable?
When Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration was chosen, the specific features that stood out to my customer were the integration of solutions with Office 365 as email service wherein Check Point excelled. They have a very tight integration with Microsoft Office 365.
The customer ended up purchasing just the email component initially. The comprehensive and unified protection across users, devices and applications under various parameters is entirely a USP for Check Point Solution. Apart from the standard security such as email security, endpoint security, browser security, mobility security and the enhanced visibility of the solution in a single pane of glass through a unified portal, these are the basic features. What stood out was where the solution excels in providing customer reports of users sending mails to non-domain email addresses, which was showcased during POC.
Reporting on users sending emails to non-domain email addresses helped the customer because they were unable to stop emails going to non-domain due to their business requirements. They had many vendors using non-domain specific Email IDs such as gmail.com or hotmail.com, which they couldn't block. Instead of blocking, they wanted to monitor people sending emails to non-domain email aliases. There had been cases of data breaches where customer users were sending IP data to users outside the organization. The customer wanted intervention, and if they couldn't block this practice, they wanted something that could be monitored by the IT team.
They formed a group of three people wherein all emails sent to non-domain specific email addresses were reported weekly, later changing to daily reports. This allowed them to clearly pinpoint how many users were sending out emails and identify clear offenders of sending print emails, even after being advised not to.
The measurable reduction in risky email behavior improved once users realized there was a system in place. During POC, they discovered some malware that was pushed to their system to check the solution's efficacy. These files passed through Defender but were caught by Check Point Solution, demonstrating the efficiency of Check Point Harmony Email Security.
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my customer's organization overall because once the system was implemented, there was a proper reduction in the number of data breaches and phishing emails.
What needs improvement?
I don't see any incoming pain points regarding Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration. It has been a leader in Magic Quadrant already for 24 and comes from Check Point, a well-known vendor loved among tech people. For tech people who want to dive deep into self-servicing capabilities, Check Point could improve in this area. In terms of user experience, it has limited self-servicing capabilities for end users. A bit more customization would be great as.
For how long have I used the solution?
My customer has been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year now.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stable in my customer's environment with no downtime or reliability issues. When the demo POC was set up, most of the solution took place. Once the order was approved and the licenses were delivered, we only needed to upload those licenses into the customer's admin account, as all the policies and other configurations were already in the system.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is fully scalable. This is the first year, so there haven't been many additional users. We are looking forward to the next year when the renewal comes up. The product grows with the company and the organization structure.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been excellent. We were able to fine-tune most of the queries the customer had without requiring Check Point vendor support. There have been no bugs or formal issues needing vendor support. Check Point has everything in place according to standard policy, including email, phone support, text support, and community support from fellow users. The product has been running smoothly and reliably, so the customer hasn't required any support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, my customer was only using Microsoft Defender.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration was straightforward since the customer was well aware of the use cases. We simply needed to fulfill those use cases, which was done easily with documents available in communities and community pages, along with clearly defined documentation on how to address common problems in the system.
What was our ROI?
There has been a 70% decrease in phishing emails and data breaches since implementing Check Point Harmony Email Security.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing, setup costs, and licensing were competitive and clear for my customer. Everything was well defined with proper SKUs, starting with all the modules they were looking for, including Check Point Email and a web solution.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
My customer evaluated Barracuda and Cisco IronPort before choosing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.
What other advice do I have?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration integrates seamlessly with other cloud services my customer uses, especially with Microsoft O365.
The metering and billing experience was transparent and easy to manage with an annual contract structure.
The procurement process was straightforward. After the joint meeting with IT and procurement teams, a consensus was reached among the Check Point call manager, myself, and the customer stakeholder. Price negotiation was completed in a single day, and the PO was released within a week.
My advice to others considering Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is to have a clear understanding of their requirements. The solution offers numerous services, so potential users should have their use cases prepared. They should conduct a pilot project, demo, or POC aligned with those use cases to determine which services they require. While the tools are managed through a single console, they are priced separately, and advanced features could be costly.
I rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration 10 out of 10 due to its ease of installation, solution capabilities, integration with other solutions, and Check Point's leading support in Cyber Security. The tool provides an extra layer of security to endpoints and offers proactive protection from cyber threats.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Email protection has reduced phishing attacks and now supports reliable cloud-based management
Pros and Cons
- "For us, I prefer Check Point before Palo Alto and before other brands because Check Point is most effective in attack mitigation and attack detection."
What is our primary use case?
I deal with firewalls, firewall switches, and FortiCloud. Regarding the web application firewall, FortiAppSec Cloud, I have worked on some projects for customers who have switches and firewalls and want to obtain the solution for the management console in the cloud.
I work with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, Harmony Endpoint, and other products from Check Point and firewalls. I have been working with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for about five years.
What is most valuable?
I find the certification for Check Point products most valuable,. Some engineers on my team have obtained Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) and certification.
The automated incident response feature by Check Point CloudGuard is a good product. I assess the effectiveness of AI-powered threat intelligence in blocking email threats as a really good addition for new product services because AI is something that most companies and technologies are now working with.
The way robust inspection technologies have helped safeguard shared files in my collaborative environment depends on the opportunity that the company has with the customer.
I have noticed a significant impact on phishing attack mitigation with Check Point CloudGuard. For us, I prefer Check Point before Palo Alto and before other brands because Check Point is most effective in attack mitigation and attack detection.
What needs improvement?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is currently working well, as it is able to detect risks before they occur, unlike Microsoft. We have been able to demonstrate to customers that Check Point can detect a risk that Microsoft overlooked.
I do not know what additional features I would like to see in the future to make the product even better because this is a good product.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for about five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I agree with the way that Check Point is working. I do not have ideas on how to improve it because this is the tool that makes the work and the job correctly.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Deployment is easy for the product.
How are customer service and support?
I rate the technical support by Check Point as one out of ten because I did not use Check Point support as we had no problems when we deployed the solution. Once the solution was already in production, it worked properly and never failed. To be honest, I have never worked with Check Point support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have worked with other brands such as Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks, as we are a partner company for several brands and specialize in networking and cybersecurity solutions. More than just selling products, we are consultants, so we recommend the brand that best suits our clients' needs. It's possible that someone visited our website looking for information about a specific product.
How was the initial setup?
The integration with third-party solutions is straightforward. It is a product that can integrate with another product as well.
What about the implementation team?
No, we haven't used other resellers or integrators, because we are a Checkpoint partner and integrator.
What was our ROI?
In our region here in Peru, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is not as popular as there are some alternatives which are better known.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I am not the person to say what cost Check Point has for their products. However, for partners like us, if we could get some discount or protect our project in front of another competition, that would be great.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I represent other brands including Check Point and Palo Alto. Several brands are represented by our company because we are more than just the sales boxes of products—we are a consulting company as well. Depending on the customer necessity, we can find a solution for that customer based on what they want, what they need, and the cost that they are able to spend.
For a small company, I do not think Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is the best fit because small companies are always looking for a cheaper product. However, for medium and larger companies, it is better.

In the past, one employee received an email that looked like a legitimate Microsoft Teams notification, prompting them to click a URL to join a meeting, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration flagged the message as a phishing attempt based on behavioral analysis and threat intelligence. The URL was pointing to a spoofed login page designed to steal credentials. The reporting is excellent, and the integration of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is excellent because my company uses Microsoft 365. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.

Cybersecurity Coordinator at Pronaca
Offers good features like anti-spam, anti-phishing and more and easy integration
Pros and Cons
- "The initial setup is easy."
- "The cost is a little bit expensive."
What is our primary use case?
The use cases include anti-spam and anti-phishing. We have Email Collaboration for the anti-spam solution and anti-phishing solution. It’s a very good platform because every day, we block about 1,000 to 5,000 batch emails with malware, spam, etc. So for our business, it’s very important to have this platform, this solution, because it helps us very well with all email.
What is most valuable?
I have only a few features, anti-spam, anti-phishing, and DLP for a use case. It’s a very good platform. I tried all the models, all the features in this platform, and it works very well.
What needs improvement?
The pricing could be improved, because when I first bought it, it was cheaper than it is now. And the first time, I had more features than the trial license. It’s more costly now, but I have fewer features.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for about four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
For the years we’ve worked with the product, we haven’t had downtime.
I would rate the stability a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Our company has around 2,000 users. It is in the retail industry.
I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
We can make a ticket directly to the Check Point pack. It’s a great function. We don’t wait for customer support because customer requires collaboration, and it’s truly the case.
If the customer doesn’t have a fixed mistake in the platform, they need to escalate to Check Point. But I can escalate directly to Check Point for any support or consultation. So it’s very good.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I tried Cisco. I tried with Office 365. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a great solution compared to these other companies because it’s more intuitive. I can see attacks in real-time.
The solution blocks all the malware and phishing emails. The percent of failures is maybe 1%. So 99% of phishing, spam, or malware is blocked with the Harmony solution.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easy. It is because it’s in the cloud. So we need to integrate Harmony with Microsoft Office 365, and it works. Maybe in three minutes to one hour, it works very well. We needed to make policies and collaborate with users, but it was very easy.
The implementation and the resolution took one test.
What about the implementation team?
We had two people, the customer and me, and maybe another person, but three people maximum is enough for the deployment process.
Maintenance is from Check Point. So we don’t need to do anything. It’s a great platform for maintenance. Check Point notifies us, so we need to do maintenance on the platform, and we’re okay with that. We’re good. We don’t need to do anything on the platform.
We don’t need to do anything on the platform.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The cost is a little bit expensive.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend using this platform because it makes policies and email integrations with Office 365 very easy. You can integrate Microsoft Teams with Sharepoint and OneDrive, and you can protect these clouds.
Overall, I would rate it a ten out of ten.

Enables us to efficiently and confidently implement necessary solutions for our various email configurations
Pros and Cons
- "The email security solution boasts an exceptional success rate in filtering out junk, spam, and phishing emails while ensuring that legitimate emails reach their intended recipients. The setup process is straightforward and user-friendly"
- "Initial Learning Mode takes a while."
What is our primary use case?
We mainly use this product for Email security, and it has an extremely simple setup. We have it installed at one of our client's locations to detect and respond appropriately to common threats such as phishing, scams, and data leakage. This comprehensive coverage allows us to protect the services running within the organization.
Check Point Harmony Email Collaboration enables us to efficiently and confidently implement necessary solutions for our various email configurations. The support services available are outstanding. When we sought a product demo for Harmony Email and Collaboration, it was very thorough.
How has it helped my organization?
The product is incredibly easy to set up and deploy, even across multiple tenants. Once we completed the connection process, we selected our policies and configured them to notify users about spam/phishing emails.
It provides recommendations but also allows for customization to suit our needs. After the initial setup, we rarely need to make adjustments.
We've contacted support a few times, and their responses have been quick and helpful. The user interface is very intuitive, and our technicians didn't need formal training because of how well it's laid out. We've implemented this across multiple tenants and have more than 1,000 users, with fewer than 10 tickets about potential false positives/negatives. This has significantly reduced the number of "Is this Spam" tickets from our customers.
What is most valuable?
The email security solution boasts an exceptional success rate in filtering out junk, spam, and phishing emails while ensuring that legitimate emails reach their intended recipients. The setup process is straightforward and user-friendly. The vendor is highly engaged with monthly meetings to introduce new features, and the account manager is notably responsive. In addition, the pricing offered is remarkably competitive compared to other options available in the email security market.
What needs improvement?
The ability to customize based on existing organizational goals, milestones, and current or future state designs is important. Customizable policies regarding how to handle specific email files, their contents, and appropriate remediation steps are critical in product selection. In larger organizations, the sheer volume of emails can be daunting when evaluating solutions. Ensuring the integrity of communications and proper collaboration is crucial to establishing the CIA triad. This solution has reduced insecurities and made scaling this product rather seamless.
Initial Learning Mode takes a while. I would like to have protection go live immediately and then have learning mode kick in after the initial scan Email Search can be clunky at times. It would be nice if there was a way to auto-fill recipients or sender fields with known users' payment options.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have several clients, and one of them uses the Harmony Email gateway. We also plan to use this product because many of our clients are experiencing issues with their mail gateways and are considering using this product for using it against a variety of Cyber threats including malware and ransomware.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Scalability is 10/10 as with a larger organization, the sheer volume of emails can be quite intimidating when evaluating the scale of solutions. Ensuring the integrity of communications and proper collaboration is critical to establishing the CIA triad. This solution has reduced those insecurities and made scaling this product solution rather seamless.
