Prevents Account Compromise and Lowers Phishing Threats in Team Tools
Pros and Cons
    • "Support could be improved, as it is only available in English."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is protecting against phishing account takeover attempts in platforms like Microsoft 365. Since email is the most common entry point for attacks, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration helps us by scanning inbound and outbound messages, blocking malicious links or attachments, and preventing credential theft.

We had a situation where a spoofed email appeared to come from our finance department, asking for urgent payment approval. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration immediately flagged it as suspicious, quarantined it, and alerted our team before anyone could click on the link or respond, preventing what could have been a costly business email compromise.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration also made a significant difference with internal account takeover attempts. In one case, an employee's credentials were phished through a fake login page, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration detected unusual login behavior from an unfamiliar location, automatically blocked the session, and forced a password reset.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers include malware and ransomware defense, which employs sandboxing and behavior analysis to stop advanced malware hiding in attachments or shared files.

The sandboxing feature stands out to me because it combines deep behavioral analysis with pre and post-delivery protection, which many competitors do not offer.

The unified dashboard provides a single view of email and collaboration security events across platforms like Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint, reducing the need to jump between multiple consoles.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted our organization by preventing phishing attacks and account takeovers in security files and collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint, reducing response times through automatic quarantine and post-delivery remediation.

    What needs improvement?

Support could be improved, as it is only available in English.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for around six years.

Email security has reduced phishing noise and now saves our team significant investigation time
    Pros and Cons
    • "The combination of smooth integration and advanced detection has made it feel like a strong layer of protection in our overall security stack."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is to search for different threats and vulnerabilities in our mail, such as Exchange 365, and other threats in our collaboration tools.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has made collaboration more efficient by reducing noise from phishing and spam. Our team interacts with it mostly through the alerts and quarantine features, which are easy to manage and do not interrupt daily communications. The fact that suspicious emails are filtered before they reach the inbox means people can focus on real work without worrying about hidden threats.

How has it helped my organization?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has had a positive impact by cutting down on phishing and spam, which means our team spends less time sorting through unwanted messages. A clear outcome we have noticed is fewer security incidents tied to email. What used to be a weekly issue is now rarer.

The time saved in our teams is the best advantage when the organization uses Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

      What is most valuable?

The best features of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration are its strong phishing and spam filtering, clear alerts, and easy-to-manage quarantine. What stands out the most to me is how seamlessly it blocks suspicious emails before they reach users, while still giving us visibility and control through the quarantine dashboard.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration integrates well with other security tools, which makes it easier to share threat intelligence across platforms. The combination of smooth integration and advanced detection has made it feel like a strong layer of protection in our overall security stack.

      What needs improvement?

I think Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration could be improved with the documentation. Sometimes it is not intuitive, and I think it needs more images in the deployment steps.

Supports phishing prevention across collaboration tools
      Pros and Cons
        • "The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment."
        • "The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment."
        • "The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment."
        • "The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is because I use Microsoft 365 and need to integrate with a great tool for security in order to protect email and other collaboration tools, such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, from phishing, malware, and other account takeover attacks.

        What is most valuable?

In the past, when a user copied a file into SharePoint that had malware and shared this file with other users, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects against this problem.

In our organization, we rely heavily on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for cross-department projects, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects internal file sharing and collaboration across multiple departments by automatically scanning shared files and links before they are accessed by colleagues, preventing malware from spreading internally if someone unknowingly uploads a compromised document.

The best feature that Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers for me is the zero-day threat prevention because it uses sandboxing, and I am driving analysis to catch unknown threats that traditional email and email security means miss.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been a game changer for our team because sandboxing and zero-day prevention have helped us, and one specific example is a targeted phishing campaign where attackers tried to deliver malicious Excel files with embedded macros; traditionally, those types of files might slip past basic email filters, but Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration sandboxing detonated the file in a virtual environment, detected the malicious behavior, and blocked it before it reached the user's inbox.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has had a very positive impact on our organization across security, workflows, and user experience, for example, workflow improvements, as employees spend less time second-guessing suspicious emails because Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration automatically blocks phishing attempts and malicious attachments.

I notice time saved because the technical support team has more time for other activities in the organization with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration active.

        What needs improvement?

The documentation is a little unintuitive, and I make an additional effort for the first deployment.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for around four or five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is very scalable, especially when I use different tools in the Infinity Portal.

How are customer service and support?

I find customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to be very great.

I would rate customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as a nine.

How would you rate customer service and support?

        Positive

        How was the initial setup?

Integrating Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration with our existing systems and tools is easy because of native cloud integration; for example, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration connects directly with Microsoft 365, so we didn't need to install additional gateways or agents, which made the initial deployment much easier.

        What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment in the support department, particularly regarding the time saved.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is great because the pricing is normal compared with other tools in the market.

What other advice do I have?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a great opportunity for saving your emails and your collaboration tools with the best tool for security. I rate this solution a nine.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

        Hybrid Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Email protection has reduced phishing attacks and now supports reliable cloud-based management
        Pros and Cons
        • "For us, I prefer Check Point before Palo Alto and before other brands because Check Point is most effective in attack mitigation and attack detection."

What is our primary use case?

I deal with firewalls, firewall switches, and FortiCloud. Regarding the web application firewall, FortiAppSec Cloud, I have worked on some projects for customers who have switches and firewalls and want to obtain the solution for the management console in the cloud.

I work with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, Harmony Endpoint, and other products from Check Point and firewalls. I have been working with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for about five years.

          What is most valuable?

I find the certification for Check Point products most valuable,. Some engineers on my team have obtained Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) and  certification.

The automated incident response feature by Check Point CloudGuard is a good product. I assess the effectiveness of AI-powered threat intelligence in blocking email threats as a really good addition for new product services because AI is something that most companies and technologies are now working with.

The way robust inspection technologies have helped safeguard shared files in my collaborative environment depends on the opportunity that the company has with the customer.

I have noticed a significant impact on phishing attack mitigation with Check Point CloudGuard. For us, I prefer Check Point before Palo Alto and before other brands because Check Point is most effective in attack mitigation and attack detection.

          What needs improvement?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is currently working well, as it is able to detect risks before they occur, unlike Microsoft. We have been able to demonstrate to customers that Check Point can detect a risk that Microsoft overlooked.

I do not know what additional features I would like to see in the future to make the product even better because this is a good product.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for about five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I agree with the way that Check Point is working. I do not have ideas on how to improve it because this is the tool that makes the work and the job correctly.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Deployment is easy for the product.

How are customer service and support?

I rate the technical support by Check Point as one out of ten because I did not use Check Point support as we had no problems when we deployed the solution. Once the solution was already in production, it worked properly and never failed. To be honest, I have never worked with Check Point support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have worked with other brands such as Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks, as we are a partner company for several brands and specialize in networking and cybersecurity solutions. More than just selling products, we are consultants, so we recommend the brand that best suits our clients' needs. It's possible that someone visited our website looking for information about a specific product.

          How was the initial setup?

The integration with third-party solutions is straightforward. It is a product that can integrate with another product as well.

          What about the implementation team?

No, we haven't used other resellers or integrators, because we are a Checkpoint partner and integrator.

          What was our ROI?

In our region here in Peru, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is not as popular as there are some alternatives which are better known.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I am not the person to say what cost Check Point has for their products. However, for partners like us, if we could get some discount or protect our project in front of another competition, that would be great.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I represent other brands including Check Point and Palo Alto. Several brands are represented by our company because we are more than just the sales boxes of products—we are a consulting company as well. Depending on the customer necessity, we can find a solution for that customer based on what they want, what they need, and the cost that they are able to spend.

For a small company, I do not think Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is the best fit because small companies are always looking for a cheaper product. However, for medium and larger companies, it is better.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

          Private Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

The pricing for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is standard for this type of app security or security application.

What other advice do I have?

In the past, one employee received an email that looked like a legitimate Microsoft Teams notification, prompting them to click a URL to join a meeting, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration flagged the message as a phishing attempt based on behavioral analysis and threat intelligence. The URL was pointing to a spoofed login page designed to steal credentials. The reporting is excellent, and the integration of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is excellent because my company uses Microsoft 365. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.

          Hybrid Cloud

Offers good features like anti-spam, anti-phishing and more and easy integration
          Pros and Cons
          • "The initial setup is easy."
          • "The cost is a little bit expensive."

What is our primary use case?

The use cases include anti-spam and anti-phishing. We have Email Collaboration for the anti-spam solution and anti-phishing solution. It’s a very good platform because every day, we block about 1,000 to 5,000 batch emails with malware, spam, etc. So for our business, it’s very important to have this platform, this solution, because it helps us very well with all email.

          What is most valuable?

I have only a few features, anti-spam, anti-phishing, and DLP for a use case. It’s a very good platform. I tried all the models, all the features in this platform, and it works very well.

          What needs improvement?

The  pricing could be improved, because when I first bought it, it was cheaper than it is now. And the first time, I had more features than the trial license. It’s more costly now, but I have fewer features.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using it for about four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

For the years we’ve worked with the product, we haven’t had downtime.

I would rate the stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Our company has around 2,000 users. It is in the retail industry.

I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

We can make a ticket directly to the Check Point pack. It’s a great function. We don’t wait for customer support because customer requires collaboration, and it’s truly the case.

If the customer doesn’t have a fixed mistake in the platform, they need to escalate to Check Point. But I can escalate directly to Check Point for any support or consultation. So it’s very good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

          Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I tried Cisco.  I tried with Office 365. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is a great solution compared to these other companies because it’s more intuitive. I can see attacks in real-time.

The solution blocks all the malware and phishing emails. The percent of failures is maybe 1%. So 99% of phishing, spam, or malware is blocked with the Harmony solution.

          How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy. It  is because it’s in the cloud. So we need to integrate Harmony with Microsoft Office 365, and it works. Maybe in three minutes to one hour, it works very well. We needed to make policies and collaborate with users, but it was very easy.

The implementation and the resolution took one test.

          What about the implementation team?

We had two people, the customer and me, and maybe another person, but three people maximum is enough for the deployment process.

Maintenance  is from Check Point. So we don’t need to do anything. It’s a great platform for maintenance. Check Point notifies us, so we need to do maintenance on the platform, and we’re okay with that. We’re good. We don’t need to do anything on the platform.

We don’t need to do anything on the platform.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The cost is a little bit expensive.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend using this platform because it makes policies and email integrations with Office 365 very easy. You can integrate Microsoft Teams with Sharepoint and OneDrive, and you can protect these clouds.

Overall, I would rate it a ten out of ten.

Provides robust email security features, but the pricing could be affordable
          Pros and Cons
          • "It's very easy to use, and the onboarding process is straightforward."
          • "Check Point needs to address the pricing segment for SMEs."

What is our primary use case?

We use the product to address core, perimeter, and administrative security requirements for firewalls within our environment. Additionally, we cater to email security requirements for clients using both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 platforms.

          What is most valuable?

The product's most valuable features for email security are its ability to safeguard domain names, detect duplicate email users, and identify spam emails impersonating legitimate email IDs, thereby enhancing overall security. It also has a robust filtering system.

It's very easy to use, and the onboarding process is straightforward. We can easily categorize users, create groups, and apply policies accordingly, simplifying policy management for different user groups within an organization.

          What needs improvement?

In India, pricing is a concern, especially for SMEs. Check Point needs to address the pricing segment for SMEs. Apart from that, the technology and other aspects like sales and marketing are satisfactory.

Most OEMs provide similar capabilities. If any OEM introduces new features, Check Point must match those capabilities. It could improve by offering an on-premise solution for customers still using Microsoft Exchange, which currently provides only cloud-based services.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for about a year. We directly sell the latest version to customers, including SMEs, enterprises, and SMBs.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The product is stable. We have yet to encounter technical or deployment issues. My team is comfortable working with the solution due to its reliability and the prompt assistance that Check Point's support team provides. I rate the stability an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have 35,000 Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration users, covering all three segments: small, medium, and enterprise.

It is a scalable product and meets the evolving business needs. Their communication and understanding of customer requirements make deploying and scaling the solution easy. I rate the scalability a seven out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

We have yet to encounter many technical issues, but Check Point's support team has been responsive and helpful whenever required.

How would you rate customer service and support?

          Positive

          How was the initial setup?

We completed ten deployments, including the installation and setup, in one week. Overall, it takes around seven days to complete. It involves collecting information from the customer about the number of users and the email services they use. The onboarding process is easy and takes one to two hours, followed by policy creation based on customer requirements.

I rate the process a nine out of ten.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The product is expensive compared to some competitors, especially for the SME segment in India. On average, it's around 10,00,000 to 15,00,000 lakh rupees for 200 users per year. Additional costs depend on the customer and their requirements.

I rate the pricing a six out of ten.

What other advice do I have?

I suggest conducting a proof of concept (POC) before purchasing the product. Customers will likely find it reliable and effective after analyzing it for 10 to 15 days.

I rate it a seven out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
