In my opinion, the best features of OneLogin are mainly utilizing SSO connectors and SAML integrations. From that perspective, it already had pre-built a bunch of connectors that I find useful even for education, which is not always the case. On top of that, we can create our custom ones. As soon as we started involving quite a few open-source systems, we could still ensure the security over OneLogin SSO.

Regarding the connectors, we have our SIS connector, which is our student information system. We have our payroll system connected to it. We have our library system connected to it. We have Google Workspace, Microsoft accounts, pretty much anything. We connected our custom ticketing system, which is open source but customized. The same we did for our knowledge base and our documentation tool, which is also open source. We also use it with our MDM connected for authentication purposes. It's very good on that front.

The automated user provisioning and deprovisioning process for my team works as follows: previously, when a user joined, several approvals were required, which took time. Now, when a user joins, an account is automatically created via our HR CRM, and with a simple email approval from the manager, the user instantly receives their username, password, and IT asset allocation. Similarly, when an employee leaves, their access is revoked instantly to reduce IT workload and security risks. This feature significantly benefits my team.

I would also like to mention that OneLogin's LDAP integration or Active Directory integration is a straightforward, one-click process that can easily sync with Microsoft Azure Directory or any AD servers, making it easier to manage user groups in larger organizations.

OneLogin positively impacts my organization by significantly reducing the time required for user onboarding. Previously, this process took one to two days, while now, it is accomplished within an hour. The dependency on management has decreased because the process is simplified. Smart Factor Authentication is something and the best feature I have implemented with this. It allows organizations, if implemented on a large scale, to provide better authentication when the risk is high by prompting the user for multi-factor authentication, which reduces entity risk. This is something that has an impact.

When integrating Smart Factor Authentication, in a normal scenario, if a user is not a desk risk, then the usual authentication process will be followed. More multi-factor authentication fatigue will not be asked for that user, which reduces the friction for that user to log in and access the applications. Multi-factor authentication is enabled only when the risk factor of that user is high, then I ask the user about multi-factor authentication so that I can confirm that the user is genuine. With that, I can improve the security layer in any organization that uses OneLogin.

The best features of OneLogin include the ability to save passwords so I could have access to them, and it would create complicated passwords for me. This saved me from having to remember a lot of passwords and gave me a safe place to store them. It made logging into whatever system I needed easy, and I could retrieve data quickly while keeping the flow of my process moving.

It simplifies a lot because even though we were an MSP, we had one primary directory that we used, but we also used a secondary directory. Google was used primarily for single sign-ins to our email accounts, but we also had Microsoft sign-ins. Using OneLogin simplified that completely. We did not have to worry about trying to use different passwords or usernames to get into accounts on either directory. We could just sign in and have access to everything.

The best feature that OneLogin offers in my experience is how much time it saves everyone, not just IT but every single employee in the organization. Employees no longer waste time logging in with credentials because before OneLogin, people wasted considerable time trying to get into applications, dealing with forgotten passwords, account lockouts, and waiting for reset emails. These issues have been completely solved with OneLogin.

Users benefit from a good user interface to log in that is very simple and user-friendly. Employees are very satisfied with this solution because they are not stuck having to remember multiple passwords or log in to each application individually whenever they need it. Logging in once provides access to everything.

Before OneLogin, security was inconsistent across applications, where some applications had strong passwords while others had weak ones, and some had multi-factor authentication while others did not. After implementing OneLogin, the same strong security standard applies everywhere because authentication goes through OneLogin first. This has closed many security gaps we had in our application login processes.

OneLogin solved a significant challenge for us regarding the orphan account problem, which was our biggest and most embarrassing issue before implementation. We ran an audit for deployment and found multiple accounts still active in our various applications belonging to people who had left the company, which was flagged as high priority. This problem no longer exists because automated de-provisioning means that the moment someone leaves the organization, every access point is closed immediately.

SmartFactor Authentication stands out for me because it supports no compromise. Usually, there is either a compromise of user experience for risk or a compromise of risk for user experience. With SmartFactor Authentication, I can balance between them. I can give users an easy and smooth user experience as long as the risk indices are low, but I can implement pretty rigid authentication workflows if the risk gets higher. So it is very good.

I have been using OneLogin for a few months and I already feel comfortable with the platform. It has been very useful and simple; it greatly facilitates access to all my applications. Overall, it has been a positive experience. It makes everything easier and more secure and saves me a lot of time when working with several applications.

What I value most about OneLogin is the easy access to all applications, the security it offers, and the simple user management. All of that makes working much more comfortable.

I feel OneLogin is very secure because it requires multi-factor authentication and controls who can access each application. It gives me confidence to know that my data and the company's data are protected.

Overall OneLogin seems complete to me; it makes access easier, keeps everything secure, and saves time when working with several applications. I think it is very useful and secure and makes it easier to manage all my applications.

The user interface of OneLogin is really well done, and you can easily perform other custom integrations.

OneLogin has definitely impacted positively and saved time. It has also strengthened security because we mostly use it for MFA, and it also made onboarding easier because you can automatically onboard multiple users. You can seamlessly integrate applications in no time.

OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is impressive. It is fast, works well, and does not have any major issues or major flaws. I appreciate that it is fast.

The single sign-on feature is excellent. Regarding the security policies, the time-saving, and the multi-factor authentication, these are great things. It gives built-in MFA and strong security without extra development efforts on our end.

By allowing users to authenticate once and access repeated logins, single sign-on and MFA have made things easier for me. Logging in on one project, a user could move between different internal tools seamlessly without logging in again and again. For MFA, it improves security by adding an extra verification step. It protects sensitive data without me needing to build this complex feature from scratch. Together, SSO and MFA provide a strong user experience, reducing the workload on the development team.

This takes a lot of time, but now using OneLogin, we have saved a lot of time and have achieved good user satisfaction. It has also improved our productivity as well.

It is very easy to integrate with third-party authentication providers through the Single Sign-On feature. There are a few steps to follow, and OneLogin has shared documentation on the process. You have to visit the application directory, click on a new application, set up its logo and metadata, authentication, encrypted codes, and then the application starts authenticating and Single Sign-On starts working.

I would like to add that the multi-factor authentication features in OneLogin help improve account security by adding an extra layer of protection beyond just passwords.

The best features OneLogin offers, in my opinion, include centralized identity and access management, a simple and user-friendly dashboard, secure remote access for users working from different locations, and good reporting and monitoring features for security and compliance.

Out of those features, I find myself relying on multi-factor authentication the most because it helps improve account security by adding an extra layer of protection beyond just passwords, and the centralized dashboard and automation features also help reduce manual work related to user provisioning, password management, and access review.

OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by allowing users to securely access multiple applications with a single sign-on, improving user experience, and reducing password-related issues and support tickets.

The most valuable thing about OneLogin is the user interface. It is very simple and very clear for users to understand, and not only technical persons can work with it. Non-technical persons can also use it because the user interface is very simple and we did not have to write a lot of lines of code while making any configurations. It is one of my favorite SSO tools that I trained on. I have used other SSO tools as well, but OneLogin is one of my favorite tools I trained with.

The best feature of OneLogin is the mapping feature, which stands out as the most beneficial. The mapping works better in OneLogin, allowing me to sync users from Google Group to OneLogin role, which is crucial for role access for end users and new service requests.

Regarding security purposes, OneLogin's syncing process is sometimes effective, helping with MFA for end users, allowing them to authenticate against the security policy we have set up in the console. OneLogin Protect application aids our end users with valid authentication and authorization processes, which is the best feature.

We have the option to set up MFA for the applications, allowing us to manage end user access, and different types of MFA are already set up. OneLogin provides SmartFactor Authentication, known as OneLogin Protect, allowing users to enable notifications and log in to the portal after entering their password without needing to enter a one-time OTP that resets every thirty minutes, thus enhancing the user experience.

OneLogin offers the ability to update role permissions, which makes the task easier when disabling a user or changing their role or lowering their privileges. This is straightforward to manage from the same console.

OneLogin offers dynamic MFA, where the platform can decide, based on user behavior, whether or not to ask for MFA. This helps significantly. Additionally, intelligent flows, known as Smart Flows, help create highly customized authentication flows all from within OneLogin itself.

Another relevant feature of OneLogin is role assignment, which allows us not only to create the user in the final application, but also for OneLogin to assign the roles, groups, and permissions of those apps, attributed or associated with Active Directory.

OneLogin helps improve security posture. We base ourselves on ISO 27001, and they require us to have controls for secure access control, which OneLogin has helped us with. Another benefit is user productivity, because users do not have to enter multiple passwords in different applications to access them. One password is sufficient, and if OneLogin detects that the user is benign or not malicious, it makes it easier for them to access the other applications. There was also a reduction in support tickets. Although initially there were quite a few as a result of the tool's implementation, the reduction became clear as users fully learned how to use the tool, so there are no issues from that point of view.

The features I appreciate most about OneLogin involve the multi-factor authentication, which I consider one of the best features because it provides many options for increasing system and tool security. This helps us to see that our data and accounts are protected from threats, hackers, and unauthorized access. The MFA also helps us to add extra layers of security to the account.

The second feature I want to discuss is the integration feature; in this integration, many other features are exported from other tools and built into this single tool, which helps us to reduce manual effort and limit errors that could be caused by manual data exchange. All the information is gathered in a single place, and OneLogin has become a solution for all security purposes as well as the integration of other tools we use.

When we talk about security and usability, SmartFactor Authentication is a valuable tool because it helps in enhancing the tool's security. One of the valuable things I see is that it can detect errors and risks in authentication and provides advanced security for the tool, meaning that it can detect higher-risk logins and prevent unauthorized access. It also identifies non-compliant users and detects unsafe places, including anonymous IP addresses, which may be used by spies or phishers, providing strong security for the system.

OneLogin has positively impacted us in many different ways, particularly in terms of cost, as our costs have been reduced compared to what we have been spending.

Unlike traditional methods involving rotating codes, the OneLogin app simplifies the process by sending a push notification asking if the login attempt is legitimate. If confirmed, the login proceeds seamlessly.
The primary benefit is its user-friendly interface, making it particularly accessible for non-technical users.

One aspect I particularly appreciate is their exceptional customer support whenever I've needed assistance. Their sales team has also been highly responsive and helpful in connecting me with necessary resources, although we haven't faced any major challenges.

It streamlines account creation across diverse systems, a godsend for small teams like ours. Back then, we were just two; now, we're four. Setting up accounts for 600 students across seven or eight platforms used to be a slog. But with OneLogin, it's a breeze. Just configure a few connectors and bam, everything hums along smoothly.

In my role, the most valuable features are two-factor authentication and self-service password reset. The most helpful feature for the institution as a whole is probably the single sign-on. As an IT director, I care about security and ease of use. 

OneLogin provides a single pane of glass for events that happen within our organization on applications that are connected. We can see logins, sign-outs, password changes, two-factor prompts and failures, failed logins, etc. It's a crucial feature. We scraped those logs and sent them to our SIEM and SOC to look for anomalies and vulnerabilities. Having them in a central place in OneLogin streamlines that process for us.

We want to review those logs proactively. In addition to OneLogin's risk analysis, we want to pull it into our SOC and have them take a deeper look. They pull in additional data points to see anomalies in OneLogin, Office 365, and the network. They can piece together some events that we need human eyes on. Having them in one spot makes it easy to get to that point.

We use Webhooks for two items. One is the enrollment grace period. The other one is to capture data in our SIEM for our SOC to review. Those are two development Webhooks that we're leveraging. We still run some custom items on our servers to leverage those Webhooks. One is the enrollment grace period. Webhooks can use the data from OneLogin and manipulate it on-premise. That's invaluable. We could not have done our enrollment process without that Webhook. It wouldn't have been as nice of an onboarding experience for our users. It would've been more troublesome for them.

Webhooks freed up a tremendous amount of time. We looked at it from the perspective of maintaining this long-term. Enrollment in 2FA isn't a one-and-done. We have students coming every day. It's not like we're done once we get everybody enrolled. Our onboarding is never-ending. There was no way we could maintain that on a user-by-user level. It was going to be a manual process. Webhooks allowed us to provide that pleasant experience without needing to manage this in the future.

We didn't initially have SmartFactor when we started the contract, but we saw the value. We don't feel comfortable prompting our users to validate using their two-factor enrolled device each time they log in. We only use SmartFactor when a change in user behavior is detected. For example, maybe they're logging in from a new device or an IP address the system hasn't seen before, which raises their risk score. That's when we prompt for that authentication, for that two-factor authentication.

If you're sitting in your office and logging into the same computer simultaneously from the same IP address, there's no need to keep prompting you for the two-factor authentication throughout the week. We only ask for it when something changes. For example, if you take your computer to a coffee shop, you will get prompted because that's unexpected user behavior that the system hasn't seen. 

It's a good compromise between security and usability. We haven't moved to password list technology, but OneLogin has the capability. We still require a user ID and password as the front entry, followed by two-factor authentication as the validation that you are who you say you are. 

It has a risk score based on user behavior anomalies, like login location, time, and device, usability and security, and more. There's a good balance. The two-factor authentication offers protection, but we don't want to bombard you with two-factor prompts when you're just trying to do your job. We only want to do it when something has changed about your login behavior.

We use the OneLogin Desktop feature in a limited capacity for some self-service kiosks around the organization for payment stations. Students can make payments using a single sign-on via the desktop. Because the application is doing authentication behind it, we haven't extended the OneLogin Desktop to staff or student desktops. One of the main reasons is there's not a great way within the service portfolio that OneLogin has to use the desktop but pick and choose what applications will do single sign-on.

The most valuable feature is the ease with which we can manage the sign-on feature.

We use the SmartFactor Authentication to adjust authentication workflows in real-time, and we haven't had any major issues with the experience that it provides. Users like the fact that they're not prompted all of the time, however, if they are prompted when there is some kind of concern then it makes them happier from that perspective. Some of our users forget they even have multifactor authentication because they don't necessarily get prompted for it often. That can be a challenge sometimes but overall, it's a good solution.

Using OneLogin has improved our user experience for employees working remotely. It provides a more streamlined approach to securing those features.

Given that cybersecurity is the client's concern, SmartFactor Authentication has been really handy in checking off some of those boxes.

It's handy that the desktop feature enables users to log in once and have access to all apps and their OneLogin portal. It's useful to have, especially since it’s centralized, since there's MFA protecting it, and since there are various layers of security there. I would say it's impactful. It's something that we needed.

The adoption rate of the solution in our organization is primary. You can't get access to email without going to OneLogin. In that regard, it's a good thing. We need it and we want it. We're essentially enforcing it and everyone has to use it.

The solution provides us with a single pane of glass for access management across our organization. There are some applications outside of it and that's not really OneLogin's fault. They don't offer SSO or SAML.

It's super useful to have a single pane of glass when it comes to access management. It's great to have everything in one place. It's great to have all the logs there in one place. It's easy to see who accesses what. Especially today, there are so many different systems. Keeping everything in one place makes my job easier.

We have not used Smart Hooks to create custom workflows and integrations.

OneLogin work identity helped to free up our time. It seems like the whole onboarding process, offboarding process, and security are easier.

I'm the primary IT guy. We have a third-party consulting firm as well that helps us out, however, anytime I have to onboard or offboard someone, it makes it so much easier.

The solution affected our experience when working remotely. It made COVID pretty much a breeze. We were not impacted at all in any way. We wanted to structure ourselves that way, to begin with. We didn't want to rely on any on-premises technologies in case there were issues. Any of our users can work from anywhere and that's something that we wanted to do from the get-go. We've definitely been able to do that thanks to OneLogin.

The solution helped save money for our organization, either by optimizing time-intensive processes or by increasing productivity.

It’s hard to say, money-wise, however, definitely with time, it’s saved us incalculable amounts of time. Just having a single place to go to onboard or offboard users makes the whole process a whole lot easier. I tend to deploy licenses, at least from Microsoft, automatically from OneLogin for users. I don't have to go into each separate app and create their account there. I don't have to worry about passwords or MFA for any of those services. There are just tremendous amounts of time saved all around.

Something I really liked about the product was how easy it was to onboard and offboard people. Onboarding people took maybe 10 to 15 minutes overall. Once we had it connected to everything, once I made the OneLogin ID, it would essentially make user names and passwords for every application that we had.
