It is reasonable. When you have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it is already licensed in that license. So, you could say it is free.
What other advice do I have?
It is quite easy to get people who understand the technology. For other platforms, at least in Sweden, there are not so many technicians who understand the technology.

What is our primary use case?
We are a system integrator who provides services to a variety of customers. I have provided this solution for a couple of my customers.
Microsoft Intune is primarily used to apply compliance requirements, install updates, and prevent users from sharing data because it is, part of the EMS, not just Intune.
What is most valuable?
For the price, the features included with Microsoft are appealing.
What needs improvement?
That is subjective because I haven't used anything other than Intune for MDM and MAM. We were fairly satisfied, I would say, but there are always a few things that our customers mention, such as this was simple.
Compatibility is another point raised by the customer. Microsoft is always a little behind when it comes to compatibility. For example, Microsoft does not support Linux. or, any other platforms offered by other vendors.
The remote screen support and remote assistance were two features that we greatly missed in Intune. According to our customers who use Workspace ONE, it is available. For example, you can get remote assistance for an iPhone, which is somewhat reliant on a third-party solution, for Microsoft. We were not able to do that for testing purposes, we faced some challenges. We had to purchase an additional subscription from Teams Viewer.
Microsoft Intune lacks the ability to provide seamless remote assistance or remote control.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been familiar with Microsoft Intune for approximately three to four years.
How are customer service and support?
Getting assistance from Microsoft is a difficult task, as we have noticed over the last few years that service is deteriorating.
It's deteriorating in the sense that you don't get the proper resource the first time you call, message, or email. You should wait or inquire first. Normally, the person you are aligned with is usually someone who works on the front lines. On occasion, we may ask the support team to connect us with the appropriate individual or escalate the ticket.
This is my personal experience with Microsoft. I can't compare it to anything else.
How was the initial setup?
Based on my conversation with my customer, they say that VMware Workspace ONE is easier to install.
While I have not tried to install VMware Workspace ONE myself, I don't find Microsoft Intune to be difficult to install.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
No one can compete with Microsoft when it comes to price, and the features it is offering.
They bundle different things with EMS.
EMS, which is a suite that includes Intune, along with some other products is still extremely competitive with other competitors.
At the moment, I'm comparing it to VMware Workspace ONE.

I was comparing Microsoft Intune to VMware Workspace ONE, or EMS as it is more commonly known.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate Microsoft Intune an eight out of ten, but when you add in the rest of the products, such as AIP and Azure Premium, I would say nine.

It should be simplified. I've worked with many different mobile device management solutions, and Intune is one of the more complex ones. It could be more simplified, and some of it is related to the wording that is being used, such as a configuration profile versus a policy. They really should have had different names to make it less confusing.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I haven't really seen any negative on that yet.
How are customer service and technical support?
Tech support is pretty decent for Microsoft. A colleague of mine had previously talked to them about Intune. As a partner, we also get counseling time with them. We get advisory services with them where we can speak back and forth with them on projects. We can ask them how would we implement it and what are the pros and cons. Sometimes, they came up with things that we weren't even thinking about or they confirmed what we were finding. I was on a call earlier this week, but it wasn't specific to Intune in this case. We found out something was not possible, and they confirmed it for us, which actually saved us hours of additional research. As far as I know, the advisory is only for partners.
What other advice do I have?
One of the pieces of advice is to become very familiar with the cloud environment. In general, always think in the big picture, not just in the isolated issue or item that you want to accomplish. That's because Intune or Azure, in general, is just so over-encompassing. You really have to think about the big picture and not just about the simple project that you're trying to focus on. Otherwise, it will come back to bite you if you didn't plan it right.
There are some MDMs out there that are simpler and easier, perhaps even better to use. It also depends on the application. It depends on if you've got all Windows devices, all Apple devices, or all Android devices. It also depends on if you have a combination. If you've got all Apple devices, there are a couple of products out there that are probably the best MDM, but they won't help you at all with Windows or Android because they're not designed for that. Intune is trying to be all-inclusive to everything. In some ways, that's an Achilles heel too.
I would rate Intune a seven out of 10.

When Microsoft Intune is used with different android devices it does not always work as it is supposed to.
The enrollment in Microsoft Intune is based on user accounts and not devices. It can be different to maintain different profiles for the same user. It cannot work together with other solutions. For example, if you have a normal user having a mobile phone, and they also have a tablet that they use that is managed from another MDM solution, such as Airwatch, the two can not cooperate if you are using the same Microsoft account on those two devices. They need to allow enrolment through the device IDs.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been working with this solution for one year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We have not had any issue with the scalability.
We have approximately 7,000 users using this solution.
How was the initial setup?
I do not think it is ever straightforward to use a Mobile Device Management System. Especially in our case, we were enrolling a lot of different devices that were already in use. That is always complicated and I do not think the fault is with Intune. It is complicated because Android can be used by different manufacturers, such as Huawei, Samsung, or Sony, and all of them can be very different.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Microsoft Intune an eight out of ten.

What is our primary use case?
We have some security policies pushed to our laptops, and we use Microsoft Intune to mainly monitor if they are up to date. The reason why we use it is to keep the patch levels on par for our end points.
How has it helped my organization?
Now, we have an automated registered inventory of all our laptops, and we know exactly which software needs to be updated.
What is most valuable?
It is easy to use and easy to roll out with low impact on users.
It is stable and scalable as well.
Also, the central administration con dashboard is very easy to use and provides very good oversight on all that needs to be monitored.
What needs improvement?
The pricing could be improved.
As for additional features, full integration with Microsoft Office 365 would be great.

We have been using Microsoft Intune for half a year or so.

It is a stable solution.

Microsoft Intune is a scalable solution, and we have about 142 users.
We've still got a few more end points to roll it out on, but our increase will be in functionality. Now, we're only looking at updates, but in principle, we can actually push security policies as well.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was straightforward and easy to roll out.
What about the implementation team?
Our own technical staff implemented it, and it took about one month.
What other advice do I have?
I would advise that you educate your staff first before rolling it out. Give them ample education and training on how to implement it and on how it's going to be used.
The biggest lesson I learned from using Microsoft Intune is that the central administration con dashboard is very easy to use and provides very good oversight on all we want to monitor.
I would rate Microsoft Intune at nine on a scale from one to ten because it's so easy to use and easy to rollout with low impact on users.

We use it for proposing solutions to customers and for co-management of the end-user devices, as well as for unified endpoint management. We also use it for mobile device management.
What is most valuable?
Internet-based access with security is what I have found to be most valuable.
It is also a stable and scalable solution. We have not had any issues with technical support as well.
The initial setup is straightforward too.
What needs improvement?
Currently, for a new customer or when a device refresh occurs, I can introduce Microsoft Intune as a unified endpoint management solution. However, for an existing customer who has an SCCM it would need to be upgraded to an MECM first before I can introduce Microsoft Intune.
Microsoft even recommends it as a co-management solution because even if I need to go for UVM as a unified endpoint, I need to rebuild all the missions, which is not practical. So, they need to look into it and provide an easy and flexible moment to UEM.

I've been dealing with Microsoft Intune for at least fours years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, it is good and stable.

It has very good scalability.

The initial setup is easy. Deployment usually takes around eight weeks of time, including pilot testing. We do requirement gathering, designing, and building, so it takes us a minimum of eight weeks.
What other advice do I have?
From a solution perspective, I always recommend that you go for it. From a scalability aspect and on managing the devices over the internet and ensuring that the security of the devices for customers is always taken into account, we always recommend to Microsoft Intune.

The solution affords data protection on mobile device management. It also provides functionality for data protection on one's laptop and desktop. But, this requires a different ecosystem for the provision of full data protection. A person can utilize this if he has a cloud proxy and something in his infrastructure.
What is most valuable?
MM and MDM are two useful features that we employ.
What needs improvement?
It would be great to see on-premises mailboxes and for the solution to have geofencing capabilities.
As it is a next generation product, the patching abilities should also be addressed.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Microsoft Intune for the last three or four years.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
As the solution is a software as a service, the scalability is unlimited.
How are customer service and technical support?
We are satisfied with the partner and community support of Microsoft.

The initial setup can be a bit complex, although this ultimately depends on the requirements of the business. If a proper framework is established then the solution is simpler to deploy.
Moreover, the company culture impacts the complexity of the deployment. There are times when we must provide guides or that user training is required. When deploying in the developer community, in which the participants are tech savvy, the process will be easier. Conversely, when doing so in a non-developer community, this process can take awhile.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The licensing costs we leave up to the customer and these vary from one to another. This is because it depends on whether or not the customer will opt for an open license enterprise agreement.
What other advice do I have?
The solution is solely cloud-based.
We work with medium and enterprise businesses.

We use the solution for the deployment of the Windows 10 laptops and devices, and mobile device management of Android and iOS devices.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features are the ones that make sure that the deployment is of a standard operating system and the Zero Touch deployment, which is very useful. This allows users to have an out of box experience.
What needs improvement?
There is improvement needed in integrating with the installed Office solutions versions, such as Office 2019. The Office 365 integrates fine.
While using the solution, you have to test and validate a lot. This is not really a solution issue but more of a configuration issue but still worthy of noting.
We have experienced an issue while deploying a Windows 10 machine, once you get the user profile applications installed, it does not always integrate well with third-party multi-factor authentication solutions. This is something that can be improved in the future.

I have been using the solution for the last year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is reliable. However, it depends on the stability of your network and the internet connectivity.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have not had the chance to fully test the scalability because, although it is an enterprise solution, the organizations that I am working for tend not to have a large-scale, full-blown deployment at once of all the Windows 10 or mobile devices.
We plan to increase the usage of the solution. We have a number of my customers that are just starting with the solution, one is only doing the Windows 10 devices, the other one is only doing mobile device management. We have some clients that have it installed but it is not being fully used yet.
How was the initial setup?
The installation was straightforward.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
There is a license needed for this solution and it is either included in one of the enterprise license agreements. Microsoft licensing is a mathematical institute, it could be quite complex. We tend to ask specialized organizations to research what the most profitable way it would be for us to use licenses in the organizations.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We did evaluate other solutions before we selected this one.
What other advice do I have?
Those who want to implement this solution have to ask themselves a few questions.
How do you introduce an additional security layer within my organization? If it is concerning the devices that you are using? Think big, act small, start with the smaller issues that you are having and make sure that the bigger picture stays within reach. Start with either mobile device management, or either Windows 10 deployment on laptops and PCs.
Make sure that you also have security governance because otherwise, you can introduce millions and millions of features and options but it still has to be a good user experience for the people that have to use these devices. If you fully block and fully restrict the devices, then it will not be a good user experience for the people that are actually in the field. There are actions that have to be done due to security and also by means of user experience optimization and security.
I rate Microsoft Intune an eight out of ten.
