We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is scalability.""The solution’s performance is good.""We can connect with different database types, and they have included a different package for a terminal connection to, for example, AS400. When it comes to UI development, it's not using the drivers or anything. It's not a selector-based development like UiPath.""I think simplicity is key. One of the things that we've noticed is how our developers have been able to quickly adopt the platform; but not only the developers or the techy people, also the business.""The initial setup is straightforward.""It's integrated with all the other products within the Salesforce ecosystem.""Integrating the tool with SAP, EBS, or other ERPs is easy.""It is a good tool for automation."

More IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Pros →

"If we have one place where we can see the end-to-end journey of our automations, then I do not need to manage multiple licenses. I do not need to spend money and expertise hiring multiple people and training them on multiple platforms. Also, when upgrading the systems, if I have a one place where I can manage all my automations at the same time, including UI and background automations, then we can build low-code apps using UiPath Apps. Therefore, I can manage everything within one platform, which is either a UiPath Intelligent Automation platform or UiPath Cloud. This is very important. Because if I have multiple systems, then I need multiple stakeholders to manage, upgrade, and maintain them.""It's incredibly user-friendly, making it accessible even to non-developers.""UiPath Action Center is very valuable.""The OCR engine is a valuable feature.""UiPath Document Understanding and Task Mining are valuable features.""The platform is open, and we can connect it to other technologies. We connect it to SAP using the SAP Connector. We are also using intelligent OCR technology to read receipts.""The biggest benefit that we have from UiPath comes from using the API.""You can integrate it to do many things. We have a lot of different data that comes into it."

More UiPath Pros →

"In terms of stability, it's quite good. It's an internal IP product.""If you compare it to its competitors in the market, it is more Java-native.""Their robots have increased the rate of efficiency by two to five times in our organization. There is still a human element to code out the package running the robots. You can't just click something and have it run. However, once that has been done, you can parallelize it 10 or 100 times in a fairly straightforward manner.""The automation process is the most valuable feature.""The most valuable features are the Excel activities. It has a number of Excel activities that are quite reliable.""We can see that its competitive ability is quite good.""WorkFusion's RPA Express's ability to scale across multiple geographies with limited impact on additional IT Hardware requirements. This has enabled the scaling of Robotics capabilities and solutions across all our entities.""A helpful feature is the analytics capability within WorkFusion. The analytics dashboards, i.e., their Tableau dashboards, are really helpful for building a business activity monitoring layer. These are very visible to senior management and stakeholders, who can see and know what is happening within processes. They can see what benefits are getting delivered as processes, either ;daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. It is easy for stakeholders or senior management to understand the value for the money that they are spending."

More WorkFusion Pros →

Cons
"This RPA should be under the umbrella of BPM. This is what the future should be.""Stability could be better.""We can use its inbuilt activities, and it's a complete package, but just like ElectroNeek, a limitation is that we have to depend on its inbuilt activities. We can't include our own activities or we can't introduce other activities.""We would like more focus on understanding AI and how it can be used to manage exception handling.""I would like it to do pretty much everything out-of-the-box without any need for any customization. However, that is not the case right now. We absolutely have to do some amount of customization with the solution in order to use it out-of-the-box as-is.""The scalability of the solution can be challenging.""IBM’s support should improve response time.""One of the things I would definitely like to see is more of the machine-learning and cognitive capabilities. For example, now that we're starting to automate more and more tasks, there are some things that still require us to go back and modify the robots when we need to. But if we had more of the machine-learning integrated into it, I believe it would be easier to maintain, so that we wouldn't have to go back and adjust every time."

More IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Cons →

"The user interface needs to be more customizable, and the debugging tool doesn't work well enough. It needs some improvements.""Dynamic Selectors should have a specific chapter apart, as most of the tools are currently driven as such.""I would like to see the OCR, machine learning, and cognitive package that is being discussed in the next release.""We used AI to predict the data modeling and report structure, but it wasn't accurate all the time. It's an evolving functionality, and I hope that it gets corrected over the course of time. The basic functionality is on par with any other software in the market, but it's not helpful for simplifying complex workflows and modules.""It would be helpful if they made the Document Understanding modules a little more user-friendly. There is a learning curve for using it correctly.""When we deploy code into Orchestrator, sometimes there are macro activities that worked in Studio but do not work correctly in production.""We should receive a list every time transactions are performed, and it would be nice if we wouldn't have to format it every time the robot sent us a spreadsheet.""I would like UiPath to have an offline mode where we can continue to work when there are maintenance issues."

More UiPath Cons →

"One of the issues that we are facing here in China, is that we cannot access the material for training because it is on YouTube. In China, we do not have access to YouTube.""We have executed our robots thousands of times in our enterprise environment. However, in an enterprise environment, WorkFusion has performance problems. It is slow in production.""So far, we have developed only one automation using machine learning. The results were less than optimal. Part of this could be because of the use case that was selected. Overall, our experience was suboptimal. WorkFusion was an outstanding partner in terms of providing their experts for free to help us on that particular use case, but we still have a lot of things to figure out in terms of how to use its machine learning capability.""The most common issue we have is with the OCR, but that also depends on the quality of the documents your scanning. Still, I would say the OCR is comparable to other solutions. I wouldn't say it's better or worse than other OCR engines.""I would also like for it to be NLP-based.""The user experience could be better both from an RPA perspective and from a business perspective.""Where it can be improved is the speed. I built two bots, one with WorkFusion and the same thing with Python. My feeling was that the speed at which Python did things, how fast it did them, was quite cool. It was faster.""We have had some problems in the past with the Inspector tool that looks at the elements on the screen. Replacing it or improving it is needed."

  • More IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It costs much less and it does much more than the competitors' solutions."
  • "The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product."
  • "If you want to do a demo trial, it is a 30 days free."
  • "The community edition is completely free. Then, people say, "There is nothing to lose, let me try it.""
  • "There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks."

  • "We saw ROI in 15 days."
  • "They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home."
  • More UiPath Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Find it online."
  • "They have a very expensive license compared to any other automation tool. For instance, at $50,000 - $60,000, you can bring in an Automation Anywhere solution. For this solution, you need at least $250,000 to get something going."
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
