How are customer service and support?
I haven't contacted the support since I didn't encounter any issues.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I also use Microsoft One Drive.
What other advice do I have?
The tool used to crash on virtual desktops. However, it wasn't an issue with the product; it was with the virtual desktop.
I haven't worked as an administrator with Google tools, but I receive much news about their security. Previously secure, they have become even more secure now. Our clients who use Google tools don't experience many security problems. It's a good and secure solution.
I rate the overall solution a ten out of ten. I recommend that people try it before making a decision. In my opinion, it's more about comfort rather than concerns about security or stability when compared to other suites.

Used to share documents across teams and provides good knowledge management
Pros and Cons
- "With Google Drive Enterprise, multiple people can edit a document, and you can open it as Google Docs."
- "Google Drive Enterprise could be made more user-friendly."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution to share documents across teams and store them long-term in locations independent of a laptop.
What is most valuable?
With Google Drive Enterprise, multiple people can edit a document, and you can open it as Google Docs. You don't need a reader because the format reader is already a part of the drive or the browser. The ecosystem has become very user-friendly, and we don't need to purchase any software.
What needs improvement?
Google Drive Enterprise could be made more user-friendly.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Google Drive Enterprise for a few years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise is a very stable solution.
I rate the solution ten out of ten for stability.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have previously used Dropbox.
What was our ROI?
The solution provided us with good productivity, knowledge management, and knowledge sharing.
What other advice do I have?
No setup is required for the solution, as it's all on the browser. Google Drive Enterprise is beneficial for anything that has to be shared across teams, where multiple people need to work on a document. The solution's security features are very good. We can define who gets access to the document. Users need to define their access properly so that they don't modify someone else's document. It is a good knowledge management tool.
I would recommend the solution to other users.
Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Reliable, simple to use, and easy to maintain
Pros and Cons
- "There's no real implementation necessary."
- "It might be ideal if we could increase storage more easily, however, I don't have much visibility on that and have never had any issues."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution just for sharing, including data, big files, storage, everything. It's for storage and sharing across teams.
What is most valuable?
It's easy to use.
The product is very simple to maintain.
There's no real implementation necessary.
It's stable and scalable.
The security, in general, is good.
What needs improvement?
Whatever we need, it's already there. We aren't missing any features.
It might be ideal if we could increase storage more easily, however, I don't have much visibility on that and have never had any issues.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've used the solution for two years now.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is very stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
A company can scale the solution. it's not a problem.
We have between 200 and 400 users on the solution right now.
I'm not sure if we plan to increase usage. I'm not the right person. I'm just answering in an individual capacity as a user.
How are customer service and support?
I've never used technical support from Google. I've never reached out to them. We haven't had any issues that would have required reaching out. Therefore, I can't speak to their level of service.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Briefly, we may have used Dropbox. However, that would have been a long time ago. I barely remember.
How was the initial setup?
As a cloud solution, it doesn't require an elaborate setup. It barely requires anything at all. You just start using it.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I'm not aware of what the licensing costs are if any.
What other advice do I have?
I'd recommend the solution to other users and companies.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

It's easy to create folders and sort things by sliding them in and out
Pros and Cons
- "I like that you can easily create folders and sort things by sliding them in and out. I like the sliding option. It's quite nice."
- "I would like better security because I use Google Drive to store some personal documents, It would be nice if I could password protect some files."
What is our primary use case?
I use Google Drive to create and store documents, like tables, docs, CVs, etc. I also store important documents that I've scanned like my ID, some family papers, and stuff like this.
What is most valuable?
I like that you can easily create folders and sort things by sliding them in and out. I like the sliding option. It's quite nice.
What needs improvement?
I would like better security because I use Google Drive to store some personal documents, It would be nice if I could password protect some files.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using Google Drive for more than 10 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive is highly stable. I think Google knows what they're doing with how many users they have.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I've had some documents that we've edited simultaneously, and it never lags. I have some collaborative documents. We have one project with three people working on it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
If I didn't have Google Drive, I would need to carry all my papers physically and I could lose them.
How was the initial setup?
If you have a Google account, you have automatically a Drive. It's almost instant use. It's already pre-installed by Google, so you don't need to do anything.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Google Drive nine out of 10. It's easy to start creating something in the Drive and share it with multiple people. All you need is an email account. It's a great service.
I would recommend Google Drive, depending on what purpose you want to use it for. It's great to have your files on you everywhere, but Google Drive may not be the best solution for every purpose. It's an all-around solution, not specialized.

Principal Analyst at a healthcare company with 5,001-10,000 employees
Easy to set up with simple document sharing and synchronization
Pros and Cons
- "For me, the most important feature is the option to save the documents and then access it from anywhere from a mobile or a desktop, or any other device."
- "I'd like some UI enhancements for an even better user experience."
What is our primary use case?
We primarily use the solution for document sharing and access.
What is most valuable?
For me, the most important feature is the option to save the documents and then access it from anywhere from a mobile or a desktop, or any other device. That's the most important. Also, the synchronization options that it provides us with are great. We like the sharing options and all of that.
The initial setup is easy.
What needs improvement?
I do see some synchronization issues at times where the documents that are uploaded more recently won't show up on other devices immediately. Or sometimes it may show some corruption. Then, you may want to re-sync it if the WiFi connection is temporarily unavailable in such situations. Otherwise, it does its job pretty well.
It may not scale up to an enterprise level.
I'd like some UI enhancements for an even better user experience. That's something that I would like to see.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for the last several years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability has been good. There are no bugs or glitches. it doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It's a scalable product. I'm not sure at an enterprise level, whether it holds up. I'm not a Google Workspace user. I'm just only using it for my personal use. I'm able to handle such scenarios that work quite well. That said, at an enterprise level, how it works is hard to say.
How are customer service and support?
I have experienced technical support a couple of times, however, not for the Drive. For some other product. That was, in terms of the response time, pretty good.
That said, the resolution will still depend on the complexity of the issue. They may just be passing it on to another team and then they may get back to you after their investigation. As a part of the Google One membership, if you have a subscription, then you get a proper response.
There was one issue I had where I needed to recover an account that I had, and it never let me recover. It kept throwing an error for that. I had logged a few incidents and then I don't think they resolved it. However, in most cases, it was quite smooth.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I'm familiar with Sandbox. We mostly are users of other Google products. The integration that it has with Gmail and the other products that we use, that's something that makes it easy for personal use. For enterprise, I'm not an enterprise user for Google, so I may not be able to comment on how it would work for very large organizations.
How was the initial setup?
It's a fairly simple setup. Those who are used to the basic terminologies, et cetera, shouldn't be finding it much too difficult. Those who are already in the Google ecosystem should not find it very difficult. It is pretty straightforward for basic users unless you want to use the advanced features. That shouldn't be an issue.
What other advice do I have?
I'm an end-user.
I normally use the web version.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Useful data storing, good support, and scalable
Pros and Cons
- "Some of the most useful features of Google Drive Enterprise is the ability to store my data and share it."
- "Google Drive Enterprise can improve by suggesting to me I have duplicate files or some kind of duplicate feature. If it can give that kind of advice, it would be a great feature on a drive storage capability. There has to be some kind of machine learning to analyze individual data and provide recommendations."

A fast and user-friendly enterprise solution, but the price could be better
Pros and Cons
- "I like that it's easy to use. I'm satisfied with the speed, stability, and availability."
- "The price could be better. Google should rethink and realign its pricing strategy along with the storage prices because storage prices are going down for on-premise solutions. If they can reduce the cost or increase the storage capacity for that same tier, that would be a great advantage."
What is our primary use case?
I use Google Drive Enterprise for collaboration. We use Google Sheet, Google Forms, and Google Docs, and we can collaborate within Teams very well. It was very helpful, especially during the pandemic when we were working from home. It has been a very helpful suite, not a single application.
What is most valuable?
I like that it's easy to use. I'm satisfied with the speed, stability, and availability.
What needs improvement?
The price could be better. Google should rethink and realign its pricing strategy along with the storage prices because storage prices are going down for on-premise solutions. If they can reduce the cost or increase the storage capacity for that same tier, that would be a great advantage.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Google Drive Enterprise for less than a year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise is a stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise is a scalable solution, and I'm satisfied with it. We have approximately 250 users, and next year we hope to increase that number by 100.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I used a different solution before but switched because of the ease of maintenance and managing storage.
How was the initial setup?
There's no installation as it's on the cloud, but we have people to do new user registration and things like that, but not a very heavy technical requirement.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price could be better.
What other advice do I have?
On a scale from one to ten, I would give Google Drive Enterprise a nine.

Makes file and information sharing easy, secure, and fast
Pros and Cons
- "I like the ease with which you can share files securely with the team. It makes file and information sharing much easier than sending attachments."
- "The storage limits could be higher."
What is most valuable?
I like the ease with which you can share files securely with the team. It makes file and information sharing much easier than sending attachments.
We have to do a lot of presentations. We keep the presentation in a specific secure folder. Then, we give access to those that need it. Whenever they go to a client to do a presentation, they can access the folder, bring up the presentation, and go through it. It's fast.
What needs improvement?
The storage limits could be higher.
I would like to see more cloud services being bundled into Google, such as mobile security.
Google should definitely build some modules into it so that when we add organizational data onto Google Cloud, we won't need to build separate proxies for security.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using this solution for the last three to four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's quite stable; we have not had any issues.
How are customer service and support?

If you're an experienced user, the initial setup is quite easy.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Google is much cheaper than Microsoft.

Google is much cheaper and much more flexible than Microsoft. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Google Drive Enterprise an eight.
