I use it to basically backup my laptop and have several copies of it residing in different places.
It performs awesomely. I have been super thrilled with the results. The GUI is easy to follow.

I have a backup and can restore. I just restored a backup a month ago. It saved me because it had lots of work/business-related documents that I needed.
I would change the GUI a little to make it a bit more interactive. It should have a slightly more updated look, not something which looks like it was designed five years ago despite the fact it is easy to follow and very appealing.
Stability is always good. I have used Acronis for 10 years now, if not more. I have never had a problem with availability, etc.
I am a personal user, so scalability is not really relevant.
I have never had the need for support.
I was previously using the following:
A colleague of mine recommended Acronis Backup. He said, "You should try Acronis." This was when Acronis was not popular or common. Everybody was using the competitors' solutions. I tried it and it worked.
The initial setup is super easy and super easy to follow; straightforward. That is the benefit of the ease of use with Acronis solutions.
I like the pricing, and that it is easy to use and has performed well.
I have tried other solutions, then I saw Acronis, and it did everything. It was an all-in-one solution for OS, Apple iOS, or Windows. Again, it was easy to follow.
Try all of the solutions in the market. You will see for yourself that Acronis is the easiest to use and stable. It has never failed on me.
I have everything I need in the backup or in the partition.
Most important criteria when selecting a vendor: Good support if I ever need it. Therefore I would know that I have someone to contact, especially when considering this is a backup, thus it is crucial for it work properly.
The backups are real easy. They are real easy to restore and I can back them up in multiple locations.
We always had a certain amount of difficulty doing backups and getting them to work correctly. For instance, tape backups are always horrible. The software has made a great improvement in this area.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of any areas for improvement. It's been great.
I have been using Acronis for about a year.
I haven’t had any stability issues.
It definitely can scale because our files grow daily.
I think we only called technical support during the installation. That worked out well. I would give them a rating 10/10.
We used Windows backup and we tried a few others, but I don't remember the names. We tried a bunch of free stuff and it was time to get the real deal. This solution had the best ratings.
The setup was straightforward as was restoring the files. I've been able to just go right on and restore the files that I need.
I got recommendations from people who do the same thing as I do. They all recommended Acronis as the best product, so I just went with it.
It is very reliable and easy to use.
We have been using this solution for three years.
There were no issues with deployment.
There were no issues with stability.
There were no issues with scalability.
I would give customer service a rating of 6.5/10.
Technical Support:I would give technical support a rating of 6.5/10.
We did not have a previous solution. We have always used Acronis, since version 7.
The setup was not complex.
I deployed this solution with my clients.
The recent release, Acronis 12, is integrated with Cloud Acronis. It is useful to backup data and has a stronger security policy for critical data.
We did not evaluate other options.
My daily use is that I log into the Admin Portal and I go to the portal of our customers and I get agent software for Windows or Linux. I then copy this agent on another server and I register that.
Our primary use case is to find agents.
I would like to have more hardware space. It would make it better. I would like to have two more terabytes.
I started using Acronis six months ago.
It's always stable. It's very good, useful, and user-friendly.
We are planning to buy the disaster edition and to use more of Acronis.
The initial setup was simple. It was done in ten minutes.
I set it up for somebody else.
I think that Acronis Backup is good.
In terms of improvement, it would be helpful to know the Acronis support email to directly contact other Acronis support emails.
I would rate Acronis Backup a ten out of ten. I am very satisfied with Acronis.
I have used it on a virtual server, as a backup server.
I do not worry that the backups are not running, or panic when a storm is coming through. It is a very fast and reliable backup, which requires less management and restores quickly.
It is fast and easy for an image-based backup across all platforms. The user interface (UI) is easy to use. We have a large virtualization infrastructure. Image backup is very important to us.
It would be nice if it could support more types of storage: EMC, HPE, Veeam, etc. Veeam backup is integrated with many storage producers, but Acronis does not integrate that much.
No issues.
Not yet.
I would rate the technical support as a nine out of 10.
Previously, I have used many different solutions. Now, I am using Veeam and Acronis.
The setup is straightforward.
We evaluated the VMware backup solution, Acronis, Symantec, and Veeam. However, we are now using both Acronis and Veeam.
I would advise this product for the use of backup systems.
Backing up computers remotely and storing them on a network share.
It’s invaluable for disaster recovery and is pretty quick doing a restore.
Sometimes I’ve found the agent won’t install, and it doesn’t give you a reason why. You click on the event link, and it goes to the Acronis site, and the site says no information found.
Eight to 10 years (with older versions).
No.
No.
They are very good on chat, which is what I use mostly.
No.
The setup was straightforward, and it installed quickly.
Machine licenses can be a little costly, especially if you have many machines to image.
No.
Take some time to learn the program, and all the functions it has to offer.
Mounting .tibs, Live Boot Restore, and Universal Restore:
Universal Restore has made moving systems to dissimilar hardware less difficult.
Live thumb drive boot process does not work well and support for it is lacking.
No.
No.
Support for issues other than the bootable thumb drive issue have been good.
I used Backup Exec and Ghost. I liked the imaging aspect of Ghost, but found Acronis Backup got much better over the years.
Setup is fairly straightforward.
The licensing cost for Acronis Backup Workstation is fair.
I have not used other products since moving to Acronis Backup.
For businesses that collect customer data, I would not use a cloud solution. Images that can be synced to an external hard drive that can be stored offsite is the only solution I recommend.
I completely agree with a4illusionist on this backup solution. It is the backup cloud service solution I use to store our company information that is not too sensitive. Why spend on a backup solution when there is a great option that is cost effective? A good way to save the company some money even if not much!
