Automation has transformed repetitive web tasks and has boosted efficiency with AI-driven bots
Pros and Cons
  • "Using Agentic AI, which integrates AI with UiPath Platform, allows me to give prompts or lines to the Agentic bots, enabling them to generate or automate flows easily and streamline developer tasks."
  • "UiPath Platform could be improved security-wise by adding easy variables or integrations with scripting, enabling easier integration with other tools or websites with just one or two actions."

What is our primary use case?

I have automated web automations where I jump into a website and read the details of requirements, updating them and submitting forms as well as raising tickets using UiPath Platform.

I participated in the initial setup and deployment of UiPath Platform.

UiPath Platform's initial setup is very simple, as we provide the servers and email for the bot's automation, usually supplied by the company, along with database servers that should already be in place.

What is most valuable?

UiPath Platform's most valuable feature is the recorder, where I can record manual actions and it automatically generates code that I can adjust for ready-made code. Recently, Agentic AI came with UiPath Platform, which is an excellent feature I am still exploring.

There are free courses available at UiPath Academy, and performing well in these courses provides coupons for certifications that allow me to take certification exams at a discounted price. This helps with real-time knowledge.

Being part of UiPath's user community has helped many clients reduce their FTEs and gain more profits by automating manual actions.

Using Agentic AI, which integrates AI with UiPath Platform, allows me to give prompts or lines to the Agentic bots, enabling them to generate or automate flows easily and streamline developer tasks.

Using Agentic AI should easily save fifty to sixty percent of time because if I have already prepared or trained my bot with the actions, it can handle manual examples like chatbots or HR tools effortlessly.

What needs improvement?

UiPath Platform could be improved security-wise by adding easy variables or integrations with scripting, enabling easier integration with other tools or websites with just one or two actions.

Security improvements are needed in the credential managers or security managers of UiPath Platform, allowing me to securely store emails, customer details, or credentials of websites or tools, ideally with encryption.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for the last one and a half years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Platform's stability and reliability are definitely present.

I have not experienced any downtime, crashes, or performance issues with UiPath Platform; it runs smoothly unless there are server issues, which can occur anywhere.

Staying stable with UiPath Platform is very important because if the tool becomes unresponsive or the application I am interacting with does not respond, it can impact my business. It delays my work and requires me to request clients to give me some time until UiPath Platform is up.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform definitely has a good production score compared to other tools, handling minute exceptions effectively and managing windows and web automations with expected results.

How are customer service and support?

I do not often communicate with UiPath technical support since there are UiPath forums where I can discuss doubts, and many senior developers or architects are available to provide several replies and solutions.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used Blue Prism for the same use cases before UiPath Platform, but the same use cases were not used in UiPath.

I am currently using both UiPath Platform and Blue Prism simultaneously.

How was the initial setup?

UiPath Platform's initial setup is very simple, as I provide the servers and email for the bot's automation, usually supplied by the company, along with database servers that should already be in place.

I have not faced any challenges during the setup or deployment of UiPath Platform; it is quite simple.

What about the implementation team?

I participated in the initial setup and deployment of UiPath Platform.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I am a developer, not a customer of UiPath Platform, nor am I an integrator, reseller, or consultant.

What other advice do I have?

I am not aware of the pricing and licensing of UiPath Platform.

My company has UiPath Platform.

I have completed the Agentic AI UiPath course and also the Business Analyst Professional course from UiPath Academy.

Since I am still exploring Agentic Automation, I have been working with UiPath Platform for only one and a half years and am not certain about the outcomes yet.

My overall experience so far using UiPath Platform's Agentic Automation capabilities has been positive. I have been in RPA for six years; with UiPath Platform, it is around one and a half to two years. I have known the tool for a long time, but I did not get a real-time chance to work on projects until recently.

I do not think additional materials on UiPath Platform are required; anyone wanting to learn UiPath Platform can directly register with UiPath Academy for real-time knowledge and expertise, as external materials are often incomplete.

My overall review rating for UiPath Platform is nine out of ten.

Automation has transformed manual workflows and now delivers faster, accurate email processing
Pros and Cons
  • "I would definitely recommend this product to other enterprises as it is an enterprise-grade level RPA software, although it might not suit organizations operating at a lower scale or margin due to cost."
  • "In terms of UiPath Platform itself, I think improvements could be made to the UI arrangement to make it more user-friendly and simpler."

What is our primary use case?

Our use case is business process automation where we use UiPath Platform to automate different manual processes that are being done today at different business units in the company end to end.

What is most valuable?

The first best feature in UiPath Platform would be the Elastic Robot Orchestration, ERO, that helps to scale up or scale down robot devices automatically for cost optimization. The second would be the overall tenant concept in the orchestrator that isolates data and view based on function, ensuring security. The third would be its excellent integration capabilities with multiple applications, allowing for easy data pulling in our automation.

We have generally integrated it with most Microsoft-based applications such as MS Dynamics, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook, as well as some non-Microsoft applications such as S/4HANA, SAP, and Salesforce.

For email automation, we are using the Communication Mining feature in UiPath Platform, allowing us to train the email documents to assess tone and content with about 90% accuracy.

What needs improvement?

In terms of UiPath Platform itself, I think improvements could be made to the UI arrangement to make it more user-friendly and simpler. The operational support is generally good, but often starts from scratch when we reach out with problems, resulting in wasted time. Finally, the cost and complexity of licenses could be simplified as some similar vendors provide features at a lower cost.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using UiPath Platform since 2021.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of UiPath Platform a nine, stating that downtime, bugs, or glitches are very rare.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The system is scalable. I would rate the scalability a perfect 10.

How are customer service and support?

The UiPath Platform user community has been excellent, being very responsive, and we often seek help there to find solutions. The community team also organizes events regularly.

I would rate the technical support an eight.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We also use UiPath Platform besides Automation Anywhere.

If I compare UiPath Platform with Automation Anywhere, UiPath Platform's core RPA product is much more mature, with enterprise-grade features that Automation Anywhere still lacks. However, Automation Anywhere offers a simpler and faster go-to-market approach for automation development.

How was the initial setup?

We are using the regular RPA platform instead of the Agentic Automation.

For email automation, we are using the Communication Mining feature in UiPath Platform, allowing us to train the email documents to assess tone and content with about 90% accuracy.

What about the implementation team?

UiPath Academy is a one-stop solution that serves as a proper training platform, which we have integrated with our in-house training platform to keep our developers and solution architects up to date with new features and capabilities.

What was our ROI?

It depends on the use cases; we perform a cost-benefit analysis for every new use case, determining whether it is related to headcount saving, regulatory and compliance saving, or faster processing. In general, we keep a threshold of 100k US dollars in terms of direct FTE savings for each automation use case.

In terms of processing speed, we see a reduction of at least 50% to 60% after automation, which translates to significant time or effort savings per use case.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I would rate UiPath Platform an eight in terms of cost efficiency, with one being cheap and ten being expensive.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

UiPath Platform works when reviewing the solution.

What other advice do I have?

Since it is a SaaS platform, there is no maintenance required on our part, as everything is managed by the vendor.

I would definitely recommend this product to other enterprises as it is an enterprise-grade level RPA software, although it might not suit organizations operating at a lower scale or margin due to cost.

Overall, more than 1,000 users utilize the solution. I would rate this review a nine.

Saves significant productivity hours through seamless automation and reliable orchestration features
Pros and Cons
  • "The features of UiPath Platform that I appreciate the most are Queues and Orchestration, which have benefited my organization by saving hundreds of thousands of productivity hours and labor hours per year."
  • "UiPath Platform can be improved by including the ability to build human-in-the-loop interfaces with chat and with web apps in the next release."
  • "My experience with the pricing, setup costs, and licensing is that pricing is the weakest part of UiPath Platform, which is driving people to other vendors."

What is our primary use case?

The main use case for UiPath Platform is RPA, or more specifically, Intelligent Automation.

What is most valuable?

The features of UiPath Platform that I appreciate the most are Queues and Orchestration. These features have benefited my organization by saving hundreds of thousands of productivity hours and labor hours per year.

My team has used the vendor's UiPath Academy course. The biggest benefit that I have seen from the academy is that it gets people started quickly and provides a consistent foundation in how to use the product.

What needs improvement?

UiPath Platform can be improved by including the ability to build human-in-the-loop interfaces with chat and with web apps in the next release.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for ten years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would assess the stability and reliability of UiPath Platform as high; in the last eight years, we have probably submitted fewer than five support tickets, and I have not experienced any downtime, crashes, or performance issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform scales very well with the growing needs of my organization. We have expanded usage to every corner of the company, and the process has been smooth, supported by a rich citizen developer program.

How are customer service and support?

I would evaluate customer service and technical support as having recently improved, considering there was a year where I did not speak with any representative of UiPath.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting UiPath Platform, we were using Pega Systems and Kryon about ten years ago to address similar needs.

How was the initial setup?

My experience with deploying UiPath Platform has been seamless and has gone exceptionally.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with UiPath Platform, including hundreds of thousands of hours saved per year.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with the pricing, setup costs, and licensing is that pricing is the weakest part of UiPath Platform, which is driving people to other vendors.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are constantly evaluating platforms and technologies; for RPA, it would be Power Platform, and for agentic workflows, crew.ai, and all the other small ones were considered before selecting UiPath Platform.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to another organization considering UiPath Platform is to evaluate use cases carefully, figure out the right ones to put on the platform, educate the developers really well, have them take academy classes, or bring in a partner to build the first few.

On a scale from one being the worst to ten being the best, I would rate UiPath Platform overall as a nine.

Long-term automation with agentic AI has improved data extraction speed and streamlined operations
Pros and Cons
  • "My overall experience with the Agentic automation capabilities is good, and I am satisfied, though I believe it could be improved."
  • "Beyond that, room for improvements is mainly focused on agents."

What is our primary use case?

I use UiPath Platform with Agentic AI, and I want to understand how much time it saves when extracting data points with Agentic AI.

What is most valuable?

The best features in UiPath Platform are the ones I appreciate most. My overall experience with the Agentic automation capabilities is good, and I am satisfied, though I believe it could be improved.

What needs improvement?

I use the Agentic automation capabilities, such as the agent builder, orchestration, testing, and autopilot. My experience has been positive, and I have identified areas in UiPath Platform that have room for improvement.

There are multiple upgrades coming in, and every 45 to 60 days or two months, new releases arrive. With rapid changes in technology coming every two months or quarter, the previous updates from earlier releases become immediately deprecated because something new enters the market and completely overshadows the previous upgrade. That is one thing I have noticed. Beyond that, room for improvements is mainly focused on agents. Anything around agent building frameworks or improvements on how things can be done using agents, how context grounding is done, or how connections to third-party tools and integrations can be made are currently straightforward and available, but improvements could be explored on a broader extent where augmented general intelligence can be implemented.

I would like to know how UiPath Platform compares with other automation tools and what else I have tried, such as Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for eight years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability at nine because I have not encountered any stability issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Regarding scalability, UiPath Platform has never compromised on scalability, so I would rate it nine.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the technical support as ten because it is always the fastest, the easiest, and provides perfect resolution.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I would like to know how UiPath Platform compares with other automation tools and what else I have tried, such as Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism.

What about the implementation team?

UiPath Platform requires maintenance. The current project I have does have all projects deployed, and there is a separate team of myself and others who manage it. I have deployed a couple of resources who handle the supporting of the projects, maintenance of the whole framework platform, and ensure the platform remains stable and up and running at all times.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend that others looking to implement UiPath Platform understand its capabilities thoroughly before deployment. I rate UiPath Platform overall at nine out of ten.

Document automation has improved finance operations and reduced manual errors, but deployment and support could be more consistent
Pros and Cons
  • "The return on investment has been significant, especially in finance and reconciliation; with UiPath Platform, something that used to take two weeks to be done is now completed in one day, helping us save in terms of FTEs and avoid human errors, which gave us financial penalties."
  • "I would rate my customer service and technical support as eight, because I believe that our current partner needs to analyze other partners to make sure that we get a better experience."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for UiPath Platform is Finance RPAs.

What is most valuable?

Since we are not in the cloud, one of the features of UiPath Platform that I enjoy the most is Document Understanding. In the back office applications such as employee onboarding, the features of UiPath Platform have been a great benefit to us.

What needs improvement?

I don't think I'm capable of answering that, especially since I'm still not in the cloud. I believe that there are so many things that we as a company have to benefit from, and I don't have any comment yet as to what something new should be in the program.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform for about five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have not experienced any downtime, crashes, or performance issues with UiPath Platform.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform grows well with the growing needs of my organization, but we haven't maximized its full potential.

How are customer service and support?

I would evaluate my customer service and technical support experience with UiPath Platform as good to fair. On a scale from one being the worst to ten being the best, I would rate my customer service and technical support as eight, because I believe that our current partner needs to analyze other partners to make sure that we get a better experience.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before selecting UiPath Platform, we analyzed Automation Anywhere, but we decided to stay with UiPath.

How was the initial setup?

We don't have any issues when it comes to the deployment, especially because I believe we've had good partners that have guided us in this process. My experience with deploying UiPath Platform has been good.

What about the implementation team?

We have basically made sure that the talent that we have inside the team is prepared for understanding our partners and taking our strategy to that next level, which has been the biggest benefit that I have seen from using UiPath Academy.

What was our ROI?

The return on investment has been significant, especially in finance and reconciliation. With UiPath Platform, something that used to take two weeks to be done is now completed in one day. This has helped us save in terms of FTEs that we used to hire for this specific process and avoid human errors, which gave us penalties, financial penalties in this case.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for UiPath Platform are great. We don't have any issue with the pricing, and I think it's fair. With the amount of capabilities that we can get, it's good pricing.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

The follow-up from the account executive during my evaluation process of UiPath Platform stood out both positively and negatively.

What other advice do I have?

We've expanded usage of UiPath Platform. I would advise that before determining the license for UiPath Platform, one should first determine the strategy. Once you have that, then select the right UiPath product for that specific strategy.

On a scale from one being the worst to ten being the best, I would rate my overall experience with UiPath Platform as a seven.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Helps build reliable bridges between internal applications using automation
Pros and Cons
  • "I would describe my experience with deploying UiPath Platform as very easy."
  • "We do monitor our ROI for every project we deploy to production, and we do see a great return on investment, and that's why we continue to use it."
  • "The only bad experience I had was after the cloud migration, with these bots getting stuck. I'm yet to dig deep into it. I don't know what's happening."
  • "Recently, we migrated to cloud and we are seeing issues with jobs getting stuck without any reason."

What is our primary use case?

My main use cases for UiPath Platform at SAP, where I've only been for two years, mostly involve in-house applications.

We build bridges. We use RPA as a bridge between different in-house applications. It's mostly web automation or database-related. That's what we have now, but we are in a transformation phase to SAP, so we're hoping to implement UiPath Platform there.

How has it helped my organization?

The examples I can provide about how these features have benefited my organization include the capability to work with all other applications. We have many in-house applications, and using UiPath Platform, I'm able to build that connection using APIs or directly with the database.

What is most valuable?

The feature I most appreciate about UiPath Platform is the Orchestrator.

What needs improvement?

I faced challenges after migrating to cloud recently. We were on-prem in our organization, and since we migrated to cloud, when we were on-prem, all the jobs were working. We never had any issues with processes getting stuck or triggers. We had a smooth running of processes for a very long time.

Recently, we migrated to cloud and we are seeing issues with jobs getting stuck without any reason. It's not in any loop or anything. When I see the logs, it shows that it started, but nothing after that in the logs. That's something I'm yet to figure out what is happening. I just noticed this one or two days before I came to the Fusion, so I don't know what's happening.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform since 2017.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I haven't really faced any issues with the stability and reliability of UiPath Platform, so it's really reliable.

The only bad experience I had was after the cloud migration, with these bots getting stuck. I'm yet to dig deep into it. I don't know what's happening. Those were the same processes that were running on-prem for a very long time continuously without any issues.

I just noticed it one day before coming here, so I don't know if it's something on our side. I have to research. If I don't find anything, I'll definitely reach out to our UiPath contact.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform scales with our growing needs of the organization.  We have expanded usage. We have two teams internally in our organization. We had around ten bots altogether, but we recently moved it up to 15.

How are customer service and support?

I evaluate my customer service and technical support experience as very responsive. We've got all our tickets or concerns looked at very fast.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting UiPath Platform at SAP, I was using another solution in my previous organization. We started with a different tool. I was there at that time, but that was not as good as UiPath Platform.

How was the initial setup?

I would describe my experience with deploying UiPath Platform as very easy.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with UiPath Platform. We do monitor our ROI for every project we deploy to production. We do see a great return on investment, and that's why we continue to use it. At SAP, we have been using it since 2018, so we are continuing to use it because of the return on investment.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

What was better about UiPath Platform compared to my last program was its compatibility with other applications. In 2017, when all these platforms were new, the other tool I was using didn't have as much compatibility with other applications. Also, for creating triggers at that time for that application, we had to use other batch jobs. UiPath Platform had all that in the Orchestrator.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to another organization considering using UiPath Platform is that it will definitely save a lot of time. It's highly recommended, but do your research before deciding which feature to use. There are many options available, so consider the ROI before picking AI or the feature.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate UiPath Platform a nine.

Unified orchestration has streamlined human and digital agents and now empowers prompt‑based automation
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable features I find in UiPath Platform include orchestration, which can be used widely to orchestrate UiPath robots, UiPath agents, and human in the loop, as well as agents and robots from other technologies, allowing me to manage all agents, humans, and robots on the same platform."
  • "I see weaknesses in UiPath Platform, particularly the model of licensing, as the enterprise level is currently at $40,000,000, which is not feasible for all client segments, especially since the majority want to start small and then adopt the tool step-by-step, but are obliged to pay $40,000 just to access the platform without robots."

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features I find in UiPath Platform include orchestration, which can be used widely to orchestrate UiPath robots, UiPath agents, and human in the loop, as well as agents and robots from other technologies, allowing me to manage all agents, humans, and robots on the same platform.

The second feature is the possibility to make the human in the loop, enabling validation at a particular step, and the third feature is that now with Agentic, I can develop without having necessary good skills in development, as I can create good agents and robots just by prompting.

What needs improvement?

I see weaknesses in UiPath Platform, particularly the model of licensing, as the enterprise level is currently at $40,000,000, which is not feasible for all client segments, especially since the majority want to start small and then adopt the tool step-by-step, but are obliged to pay $40,000 just to access the platform without robots.

To make UiPath Platform better, it would be beneficial to integrate more models, allowing the possibility to create my own models in terms of Agentic and AI, which is very important. Additionally, while we do have a governance layer in orchestration, it is not very mature at the moment.

For how long have I used the solution?

Overall, I have been dealing with UiPath Platform for nine or ten years, having worked with the tool at Capgemini before, Atos, and after I joined UiPath, I have worked for UiPath for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

There is still room for improvement in terms of stability, performance, capacity, features, and maturity.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the technical support provided by UiPath as very good, especially in terms of robotic and Agentic, as I do not need very extensive technical support since it is primarily about migrating or upgrading licenses, while other necessary support is included in the training.

How was the initial setup?

I find it easy to deploy UiPath Platform now, as it is much easier than before when installing Orchestrator, robots, studios, and ensuring communication among them was very complicated, especially for high availability, but now there is a really easy way to install it without any issues.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

If we discuss competitors, I should split them into two categories: robotic and Agentic. In terms of robotic, I can mention Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and others, but they are not at the same level due to factors such as availability of resources, as it is easier to find someone who mastered UiPath than someone with Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism.

Regarding Agentic, the major competitors currently are specific ones such as Salesforce, SAP, and others that have already integrated Agentic into their platforms, making it difficult for UiPath to convince customers to adopt UiPath Agentic.

What other advice do I have?

When I talk about Agentic automation, I can say there is a big difference between robot automation and Agentic automation, as I can do both in UiPath Platform just by prompting.

I think UiPath Academy courses are well done, as they have been for eight or nine years, and it is the only platform I use for my teams to train them, making it widely sufficient for them to be autonomous on UiPath.

Currently, UiPath Platform offers robotic capabilities, and while there is the option for on-premises deployment starting from April, there are no clients using the on-premises system yet; especially since major clients are in Dubai where there is a data center, it is challenging to convince the public sector to adopt a cloud solution, which is a significant issue at the moment.

I think UiPath user community is good, as they are very active.

UiPath Platform is widely adopted in my region, but I believe it should be promoted more.

I would rate this review an eight out of ten.

Automation has accelerated workflows across departments but library management still needs improvement
Pros and Cons
  • "The best features I appreciate about UiPath Platform are that it is very user-friendly, so even though I started as a Java developer, I believe that someone without a lot of knowledge or experience in the programming part can use it."
  • "In UiPath Platform, I think there is room for improvement with the last release because they had some UI bugs; there are some buttons that do not work, and perhaps they should make it a little bit clearer which libraries are available or if they are deprecated, as we have had some issues with the libraries where they are working in some Studios but not in others, so the release management of the libraries needs attention."

What is our primary use case?

Our use case involves automations with UI and also with the invoke code that is available in the back end, in the background, and for different departments, so we do not focus only on one department.

What is most valuable?

The best features I appreciate about UiPath Platform are that it is very user-friendly, so even though I started as a Java developer, I believe that someone without a lot of knowledge or experience in the programming part can use it.

The improvements I have seen in my business with UiPath Platform are that it makes the automation really fast and it also helps the BPO to understand what we are doing, so when we do the UAT, we do not just show the source codes; they can actually see the thumbnails, explain better, and with the diagrams can have an overview and also modify or give further notice or guidance regarding the flow.

What needs improvement?

In UiPath Platform, I think there is room for improvement with the last release because they had some UI bugs; there are some buttons that do not work, and perhaps they should make it a little bit clearer which libraries are available or if they are deprecated, as we have had some issues with the libraries where they are working in some Studios but not in others, so the release management of the libraries needs attention.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using UiPath Platform since 2019, so I have experience since that time.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would say we have had some downtime and bugs, but it was because we are on-cloud, and it was a global issue.

I would rate the stability of UiPath Platform at seven or eight.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I find scalability similar to that rating.

How are customer service and support?

I use the UiPath Platform user community, specifically the forum, but I notice that there are some threads that are quite old or unresponded, meaning that someone puts a question, and they do not have a follow-up for the solution.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have never used any other products to compare with UiPath Platform.

What was our ROI?

On average, I would say UiPath Platform has reduced human error by 60-70 percent.

What other advice do I have?

I do not use the agentic automation with UiPath Platform.

I do not monitor a lot the messages and the releases, so when I have an update of a Studio, I just search it.

I have taken the UiPath Academy courses for the advanced certification.

My experience with the UiPath Academy courses is that, because I took that course in 2019, there were some bugs that did not work, so even though the solutions I uploaded were correct, they wanted a specific way; but I believe that is something they have improved since then.

I find it complex to work with UiPath Platform.

It takes at least once per year for some cases and some applications where we should have a review for maintenance.

Overall, I believe it can be improved.

I would recommend UiPath Platform to other users; my advice would be that for some cases where there is not a necessity for monitoring or UI interface automation, there is no reason to use UiPath Platform, meaning there are more Windows-based solutions for automation, so it does not need everything to be done with RPA technology.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Really appreciate the detailed review! It is awesome that UiPath made automation accessible for you even coming from a Java background. The points about library versioning and forum response times are fair, definitely something worth improving on our end.

Have unified automation efforts across departments and improved operational efficiency
Pros and Cons
  • "The tremendous benefit comes from how these features of UiPath Platform have benefited our organization, as we have implemented close to 100 automation for our finance teams, supply chain teams, IT teams, and even some for HR."

What is our primary use case?

The tremendous benefit comes from how these features of UiPath Platform have benefited our organization. We have implemented close to 100 automation for our finance teams, supply chain teams, IT teams, and even some for HR. The efficiency gain is tremendous.

    What is most valuable?

The features of UiPath Platform that I prefer most are UiPath Studio and UiPath Orchestrator. We have not yet started using the Agentic AI features, so we are still on the legacy platform system, but we are in the process of moving our platform to the cloud. From November, we would have the Agentic capabilities.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using UiPath Platform for six years so far.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I assess the stability and reliability of UiPath Platform as phenomenal. Over six years, we have created zero support cases with UiPath.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Platform scales very effectively from the growing needs of my organization without any problems.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before adopting UiPath Platform, we were using Selenium, an open-source tool for automation. Some people were using Python code for automation. Then we realized it was time to purchase a product or software that handles automation instead of all the pocket automation that everybody was building. That was the rationale to implement UiPath Platform.

    How was the initial setup?

My experience with deploying UiPath Platform was easy and everything worked efficiently during deployment.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with UiPath Platform, but I cannot share specific data points.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with the pricing, setup costs, and licensing of UiPath Platform has been pretty decent so far.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We looked at a bunch of automation tools in the market in 2019 before selecting UiPath Platform. We evaluated UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and Microsoft Power Automate, but ultimately chose UiPath Platform because it was and remains the market leader.

Many positive aspects stood out in my evaluation process when comparing options for UiPath Platform, such as how robust the tool is and how it works efficiently and seamlessly with multiple technologies. It functions effectively with web-based automation, SAP, Salesforce, and other platforms. UiPath Platform fits efficiently into all these ecosystems, which was one of the reasons to choose it. Besides cost and other factors, the adoption in the industry and the number of references we received were very positive about UiPath Platform.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to another organization considering UiPath Platform is to adopt it and start automating without delay.

The factors that led me to consider a change before using UiPath Platform were mostly scalability and harmonization. We didn't want everybody in the organization to use different tools for automation. It had to be unified because we are a large enterprise. One tool makes sense. From a cost perspective, not the license cost, but the maintenance cost is important. If everybody writes their own piece of software or code for automation, support becomes problematic. There's no unification. Support, cost, scalability, and reliability were key factors in propelling us towards a software automation tool.

UiPath Platform is doing a good job with respect to connecting to other ecosystems and platforms. Looking at the announcement today, they're connecting to Salesforce, LlamaIndex, and Microsoft. That's a good sign. I think everybody is building Agentic stuff and Agentic AI, and most platforms work seamlessly from service providers and competitors. The key is to provide easier integration for people to build and develop by providing numerous connection tools.

The way we have expanded our usage of UiPath Platform is very prudent and judicious in how we leverage the bots. We try to maximize bot utilization rather than purchasing additional bots. We use the bots repeatedly, depending on the schedule, fitting the available bots across multiple schedules. We have expanded, but not necessarily in terms of purchasing additional bots.

I would rate UiPath Platform overall a 10 out of 10.

Explores multiple domains with robust options for automation while addressing pricing and support challenges
    Pros and Cons
      • "The main area for improvement is pricing, as people are moving towards Power Platform due to license pricing considerations."

What is our primary use case?

My role is Solution Architect and Delivery Lead. We are exploring multiple use cases across different domains including banking, manufacturing, and insurance. Recently, we have been exploring manufacturing use cases, invoice dispute finding, three-way matching, and HR onboarding. We are also trying to automate the end-to-end underwriting flow in insurance.

      What is most valuable?

When discussing the UiPath Platform components, we use Robot, Studio, and Orchestrator by default. We are extensively using Document Understanding for data extractions. For Agentic Automation, we use the Agent Builder and Maestro for Orchestration. We have implemented UiPath Insights at one of the largest banks in Malaysia, which is very useful for understanding transaction and bot status insights. This helps in making decisions based on operational and transaction data insights. The Agentic solution is our AI solution, where Document Understanding uses an AI ML model. For Agentic Automation, we integrate with Large Language Models to achieve end-to-end automation.

      What needs improvement?

UiPath Platform is one of the top leaders. When developers are asked which tool is convenient for RPA development, they choose UiPath Platform. It provides extensive development options and is very convenient from a developer perspective. In terms of low-code, no-code capabilities, it competes with Power Platform and Automation Anywhere. The main area for improvement is pricing, as people are moving towards Power Platform due to license pricing considerations.

Regarding technical support, I would rate it 6 or 6.5. Previously, they provided excellent support, but now the support quality varies based on the client's license tier. Clients with fewer licenses receive support only through email. For critical errors, we may receive an initial email response within two to three hours requesting basic information, but resolution can take one to two days. This is a significant change from their earlier approach.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for five to six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In terms of stability, I would rate it 7.5 out of 10.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability rates at eight out of 10. We can expand whenever required. It is best suited for medium-scale to large-scale companies. Due to pricing considerations, especially in India, low-scale companies often prefer Power Automate.

What other advice do I have?

By default, we implement both attended and unattended options. UiPath Platform is best described as a low-code, no-code platform. The Agentic Automation is completely no-code when creating agents. For robot development, it provides extensive options with low-code capabilities. For complex Excel automations or other automations, UiPath Platform offers numerous options compared to Power Automate. We can easily integrate VB code for string manipulations and complex Excel automations. The platform excels in debugging and selector fine-tuning for web automation or UI automation compared to Power Automate. We are a UiPath Platform partner. Overall rating: 7.5 out of 10.
