My main use case for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is to address customer email security requirements by providing them with a spam gateway solution or API solution.

A specific example of how I use Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] for my customer's email security requirements involves customers receiving massive amounts of spam to their domains. I suggest Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] gateway as a solution and then implement it for that customer. After deploying, the customer receives a minimum number of spams with many emails quarantined by the product.

Some customers also come with DLP requirements. I create policies related to identifying specific keywords in mail subject or mail body and develop separate policies for those specific requirements.

The best features Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] offers are cloud sandboxing capabilities. All URLs and attachments are checked using their threat intelligence. Additionally, they have an email continuity feature where if a customer's email server goes down, Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] gateway queues their emails for nearly 10 days.

With many zero-day attacks happening today, solutions cannot find known virus signatures. Because of that, I check in the sandbox environment. These samples are uploaded to the sandbox environment and it provides fully detailed reports so I can see what the sandboxing capabilities output.

They also have domain-based tools and virus policies for both inbound and outbound protections. In the API solutions, they provide security solutions to OneDrive, SharePoint, and Google Workspace.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has positively impacted my organization and my customers because after I deploy the solutions to customers, they protect against email-related attacks consistently.

The specific outcomes and metrics I have seen change based on user count because some users have massive email boxes, for example, 1,000 email boxes or 250 email boxes. Some customers are in the SMB market and some customers are in the enterprise market, so the ratio changes according to the customer's email box count.

I think AI is developing daily, and in the future, Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] will offer new features.

They have introduced new features such as security anomalies. I think some dashboard improvements and AI analytics would be better.

I think when incidents occur with Trend Micro Email Security [EOL], the support should be a bit faster with response times.

The customer support is good. They have severity levels including medium, high, and critical. If I raise critical tickets, I get faster responses.

I would rate the customer support at eight or nine, specifically eight.

In my previous job, I handled solutions such as Barracuda and Google Workspace security. We sometimes have to competitively challenge against products from Barracuda and Proofpoint.

It is a good return on investments because I am a distributor selling this product to customers through a partner. Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is the best solution to provide email security. Trend Micro not only provides email security but also endpoint security, cloud security, identity security, and more services.

Most Trend Micro tenants are hosted on AWS.

I deal directly with the vendor. Another option is to purchase it on AWS, but I always deal with the direct vendor.

If customers need a better email security solution, I suggest Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] to them.

My overall rating for this product is eight out of ten.

I am still working with Trend Micro products, particularly Trend Micro Email Security. I work as a consultant as well as an architect using Trend Micro solutions. There are various organizations I work with—some in healthcare and some with their entire infrastructure on the cloud who do not want any on-premises deployment. Some organizations use Trend Micro for their server protection and laptop endpoint protection. For these customers, I recommend Trend Micro, and these customers are not particular about the price. Even if it is a little bit higher, they want Trend Micro because it is a good brand, so such customers would always prefer Trend Micro.

Trend Micro Email Security's anti-spam feature and endpoint protection against any kind of phishing attacks are very useful and work well when it comes to email security. The detection of spam and phishing attacks is excellent, and the false positive rate is very low.

Trend Micro Email Security provides visibility through a centralized dashboard. Across all their Trend Micro products, we can integrate and have dashboard visibility of the threats.

We deploy sensors at customer locations on the cloud or on-premises and connect them to their network, which gives us visibility of any network threats as well.

We were able to reduce the time by 30% in terms of detection and response around 40%.

Trend Micro Email Security has integrated AI features recently, but the more the learning of their AI engines will yield much better results. There are many zero-day attacks coming out into the market, and if the AI engine improves, then the product can be even more excellent.

AI capabilities need further enhancement. When there are repetitive emails, Trend Micro Email Security should provide the ability to scan the existing inbox as well. If a new spam email comes in and the sender has been blacklisted or detected, then all existing emails from that sender should automatically get quarantined. We should not need to rescan the entire inbox, and I think Trend Micro should bring in that kind of feature.

I have been using this solution for almost more than 15 years.

I would rate stability at nine out of ten.

I recently came to know that Trend Micro changed their licensing model to a credit basis. Earlier, we used to have separate licenses for Trend Micro Email Security and endpoint security. Now they have come out with a credit-based licensing model. If you purchase credits in bulk, you can use them for any kind of solution. You may want to use 10 credits for email and 20 credits for endpoint, so across their Trend Micro products, you can use the credits. This change will definitely help customers and also Trend Micro in increasing their revenue.

Trend Micro Email Security deployment is very easy, and they have made it very simple. The configuration and implementation are pretty easy, and I did not find that very challenging.

Trend Micro Email Security was able to identify blind spots, and on a 10-point scale, I would say nine. Of course, there is fine-tuning which we may have to do in the implementation phase, which can improve the organization's asset discovery and detect blind spots.

I would rate Trend Micro Email Security at nine overall. Typically, when we deploy on AWS, we go from the AWS Marketplace. Wherever we have our own cloud, we go with a Trend Micro Email Security direct deployment.

For bigger organizations, we typically recommend Trend Micro Email Security. For smaller ones, if the customer is willing to go with Trend Micro Email Security only, then we go for that. If a customer is price sensitive, then we go with other competitive products.

Overall, I would rate this product at ten out of ten.

My main use case for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] was especially for identifying spam.

For identifying spam, Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] helped us by utilizing the IMSSVA, where we filter spamming with the security rules and identify the issues.

In addition to identifying spam, there are multiple things which we use Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] for, especially with anti-phishing, then BEC protection, then malware and ransomware detection, and URL protection, which is very good in that area. Apart from that, we do have data loss protection. We also have an integration with Trend Micro Vision One, which is giving us good visibility for the XDR part.

The best features Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] offers in my experience are the DLP and the integration with the EDR part.

The DLP and EDR integration stand out for me because they provide detection of sensitive information which is protected and then the integration with XDR will be giving more visibility and response.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has impacted my organization positively, and after implementing it, we noticed certain things which were missing, especially with the virtual analyzer, such as sandboxing and email continuity, then more on the plain text verifications and large emails.

While I was using Trend Micro Email Security [EOL], I noticed positive outcomes for my organization, particularly in threat hunting prospects and sandboxing, and apart from that, the BEC protection is very good.

I cannot share any specific outcomes or metrics such as a drop in phishing attempts or less time spent managing email threats, but I can say that sandboxing's good aspect stands out.

One feature I would like to add about Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is especially the cloud email security part, and if we could have more enhancement in the cloud app security, EAP security, or email security integrations, that would be beneficial.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] can be improved with the needed API integration, and especially, it could be better with DMARC and DKIM control. It has to have advanced correlations and that virtual analyzer, and also identify PDF-related scannings, which should be good. Apart from that, anti-phishing and BEC can be improved more comparatively to the current status and enhanced DKIM sign with the headers, signing, and over-signing support would add benefit.

I would add more about the needed improvements with Trend Micro Email Security [EOL], specifically mentioning an AI-generated phishing campaign that would be good if you can provide it, along with advanced analytics across email.

Regarding Trend Micro Email Security [EOL]'s AI capabilities, I think the governance and security could improve with the introduction of the banner and email banners, which normally Mimecast has, which are very good features and can control more on the PDF active content. There should also be approved sender security enhancement.

About the accuracy and reliability of output for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL]'s AI capabilities, we need to identify more features about it.

There are other areas for improvement with Trend Micro Email Security [EOL], especially with the AI security, where additional protection should be added such as LLM, which is called large language models, AI agents, then there should be a vector database, AI APIs, that integration, and AI-generated contents, which would be great, especially with current features with Mimecast, and especially with the banners.

To be frank, at the current moment, we are not happy with Trend Micro Email Security [EOL], and that is why we moved forward with Mimecast.

We were earlier using Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] for almost four to five years, but now we have moved forward to Mimecast.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] a five or six.

I give it a five or six because there are multiple things and features that are missing, especially when you consider more advanced threat hunting, especially on the dashboard side, more enhanced detections, playbooks, and especially with the Office 365 integration, the API, then executive level reporting, then AI power metrics. These are the features which need to be more enhanced. My overall review rating for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is five.

My primary use case for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is protecting M365 email from phishing, business email compromise, and ransomware delivery attempts.

The best features Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] offers include advanced phishing and business email compromise protection, and Sandbox analysis feature with virtual analyzer and Time Rewriter protection.

The virtual analyzer Sandbox is the most valuable feature of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] because it can detect previously unknown malware and ransomware in attachments. It gives me confidence that suspicious files are analyzed before users interact with them.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has a positive impact on my organization by significantly reducing the number of phishing, spam, and malware reaching end users. This has lowered the risk of account compromise and ransomware incidents while reducing the time my IT security team spends investigating email threats.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] offers strong protection against phishing, malware, and spam, but you will get the best result by customizing it to your environment and regularly reviewing security reports. The main improvement I would appreciate is more transparent threat explanation and easy investigation workflows. Otherwise, the combination of threat detection, sandboxing, and link protection covers most of my email security needs.

After deployment of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL], phishing emails reported by users decreased by 60%, and my security team spends approximately 30% less time investigating email-related incidents.

Overall, the AI capabilities of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] are accurate and reliable for detecting email threats and reducing noise for the security team. I work for an IT solution distributor company, and Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is one of our products. We handle implementation and support cases for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL]. In support case scenarios, we receive various cases. For example, we handle alerts such as DLP violations. In a recent case, a customer needed verification on what the violated content in a document was. We also handle spam-related issues and investigate those cases.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is a really good product, so we do not often encounter product issues. Most of the support cases I receive are when customers need re-verification on their alerts. Overall, it is an easy-to-use and very comprehensive solution.

The product is protecting their users from spam and everything else. It is a really good product to help users from giving their valuable information to spam emails.

We noticed that there are fewer incidents and fewer spam incidents in these organizations after we implemented the email security solution. With Trend Micro Vision One, it is providing almost everything that a customer needs.

For improvement, the report part needs much improvement. It is a bit complex for some users. We have to provide our support for analyzing their data and creating their policies. If it gets a bit less complicated, I think it will be better.

I have been using Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] for two years.

In my experience, I did not experience any downtime with Trend Micro Email Security [EOL].

In my experience, Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is scalable and can handle growth and changing needs easily.

We very often interact with their support team. My experience with their support team is that sometimes it is a bit slower to get their response. I would rate the customer support on a scale of one to ten as six.

Then they have to decide what product they are going to use. I gave this solution a review rating of nine.

I use Trend Micro Email Security mainly for phishing email and spam prevention. I have observed in my customers' environments that they receive a lot of spam emails. Trend Micro Email Security is deployed in-line with incoming SMTP traffic to prevent these spam emails from entering the network.

In addition to spam prevention, I also use it to block phishing emails and threat actors that come through Trend Micro Email Security.

Trend Micro Email Security offers spam prevention, phishing email detection, and email continuity features that are useful if you have an on-premises email server. The email continuity feature provides email retention for up to 10 days, which has been valuable in cases where my on-premises email security cluster goes out of service, ensuring that incoming emails are not lost. Trend Micro Email Security also provides DLP capabilities for outbound emails, allowing me to inspect whether users are sending sensitive information through emails, knowingly or unknowingly.

I have seen a huge decrease in phishing emails and spam being received by end users, with about 80% of observed spam and phishing emails being reduced. Additionally, time has been saved by preventing unnecessary investigations into threats received through emails.

I recommend purchasing Trend Micro Email Security because you get multiple deployment options and the core features are very reliable. Email security solutions work well with Trend Micro's cybersecurity platform, providing integration that gives very good holistic visibility into your cybersecurity posture and correlates incidents throughout multiple attack surfaces, giving you a better picture of what is happening in your environments.

I would rate this product 9 out of 10.

Our main use case for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] involves proposing to customers to mitigate spam, phishing, graymails, and other threats.

A specific example of how one of our customers used Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] to deal with spam or phishing is when a customer uses a Zimbra mail server. We proposed our cloud email gateway solution, routing the customer's email traffic to our gateway where the scanning is completed, and we pass that clean email to the customer's email server.

My main use case for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is to prevent users from accessing phishing or scam links that they receive by emails and other platforms like Teams, SharePoint, or OneDrive. Users tend to receive a lot of phishing or scam emails with links, so Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] prevents these links and emails from coming into users' inboxes.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] offers Sandbox Analysis and time of click URL protection, which is very effective in terms of preventing time bomb kind of attacks. I have seen a lot of time bomb attacks where users receive URLs that seem to be safe for the first 10 to 15 minutes, but after that time, the URL changes from the backend and when the user clicks it after receiving it, he will be accessing a malicious URL and he might put our sensitive data there and we might suffer a compromise. Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] prevents that from happening with its advanced detection mechanisms.

They also have a very good feature which is called Business Email Compromise, BEC, and it helps us to keep our high-profile users protected.

The management interface of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] looks a bit more legacy, and it can have a little bit more improvements in terms of modernizing the UI. Support also might require a little bit more attention as well.

Pricing is on the expensive side, the setup cost is not that much, and licensing is pretty much straightforward with user-based licensing.

The use cases of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] are functioning properly, but I have seen a bit more competitive products in the market as well. Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is a good solution where you can trust and have peace of mind, and it also comes with a lot of modern features to identify modern attacks. I rate this review an eight overall.

My main use case for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] are email threat protection, spam filtering, threat intelligence, and email investigation.

I use Trend Micro Email Security [EOL]to analyze suspicious emails, verify sender authenticity, review email history, and identify malicious or unwanted messages. 

I have also used it for basic DLP-related policies, mainly for departments such as HR where sensitive information is handled.

Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has helped improve our overall email security posture. It has reduced spam, helped identify malicious emails more accurately, and made email investigation easier for the security team. The email tracing, sender verification, and threat intelligence features have helped us respond faster to suspicious emails and reduce manual investigation time.

The best features are email tracking, email history, DKIM checking, DMARC checking, sender verification, and header analysis. These features are very useful when investigating suspicious emails because they help identify the original sender, validate email authenticity, and understand the delivery path. The product is also easy to configure and has good detection accuracy.

The product could be improved by adding stronger DLP capabilities and more advanced phishing simulation or user awareness features. Better reporting customization and more detailed investigation dashboards would also be useful for security teams.

Yes, we have seen ROI because the solution helps reduce spam, detect malicious emails, and save time for the security team during investigations. It also helps reduce the risk of users interacting with harmful emails.

The pricing is slightly high, but still reasonable considering the features, detection accuracy, and threat intelligence provided by the product.

We evaluated Sophos, checkpoint, barracuda and compared it with Trend Micro Email Security [EOL]. Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] was stronger in threat intelligence, email tracing, and detection accuracy. Sophos, checkpoint, barracuda was also a good solution, but Trend Micro matched our email security requirements better at that time.

I would rate Trend Micro Email Security 9 out of 10. My advice to other organizations is to consider it if they need a stable and effective email security solution with good threat intelligence, email tracing, and sender authentication features. It is easy to manage and provides good value, especially for organizations that need better visibility into email-based threats.
