We use it for endpoint security.

We no longer have to deal with day-to-day threats, and we can focus more on work. Whenever there are some problems, our operations don't stop. So, we can continue our work knowing that there is a good security solution protecting us.

Its ease of use in deploying it and regular updates are most valuable.

It can be improved in terms of features and integration. It should have more advanced features and more integration. Currently, it is just talking to their own solutions. They could add more artificial intelligence, more XDR, and more integration with other vendors so that we can do sharing of information with other vendors.

I have been using this solution for more than five years.

It is not stable in terms of the company. They have already been bought many times. A lot of people are changing brands because of the acquisition of Broadcom. So, it is not much stable.

They are the best. There is no problem in regards to response time. You can easily get technical support.

Its initial setup was straightforward.

They're on the reasonable side. They are at mid-level. They're not too expensive as compared to their competitors. They're also not too cheap. In terms of price structure, hopefully, they could do a subscription.

If you are looking for regular endpoint security, you can count on Symantec, but if you're looking for more advanced security or have advanced requirements, or if you have a big company that has different security products in place, you might as well look for another one. I could suggest Symantec if your security appetite is not that big.

I would rate Symantec End-User Endpoint Security a seven out of ten.

Protection from viruses, malware, Trojans, and malicious files is most valuable. It is also good in terms of application control. I can control the type of external media that can be connected with endpoint devices and protect them from malicious files and devices such as USB.

I would like to be able to migrate to the cloud so that the end-users outside the company offices don't need a VPN to connect to the Symantec server to update the policies. They should be able to connect to the admin center directly through the internet to get updated policies.

There is some integration issue with the other security appliances or tools. Other hardware, firewall, or Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution vendors are not willing to integrate with Symantec. They only mention products from other vendors such as CrowdStrike and Carbon Black. Symantec is not there. Symantec should work on integration with products from other security vendors.

I have been using this solution for more than six years. I am currently using its latest version.

It is stable. I don't have any issues.

It is scalable. With on-prem, you have the network limitation. If I migrate to the cloud, it will be easy to scale. 

In terms of usage, currently, we have between 250 to 300 users.

I have not worked on any other solution.

Its initial setup was easy. It was done a long ago. The upgrades to a newer version might take two hours. If a client has any issues during the upgrade, they need to remove and start it again. Usually, it does not require a lot of support. It is straightforward.

Its price is reasonable.

I would rate Symantec End-User Endpoint Security an eight out of ten.

I have the program installed on my desktop. A primary use case involves the prevention of outside intrusions, so that no viruses may enter.

I would like things to be cheaper in the next release, although I cannot say which specific function I am referencing.

I have been using the product for around four years. 

I cannot comment properly on customer service/technical support since this is an area handled by the IT team. Having said this, as it is on cloud it should not be too time consuming and should be easy to deploy.

As for the initial setup, it was my IT team that handled the installation and this can be done directly from the cloud. Everything is on the cloud nowadays and this precludes the need to make purchases. An advantage to cloud installation over that done on premises is that all the updates and security patches and EMP to the particular antivirus may be handled from the cloud itself.

I will continue to use this product and definitely recommend it to other users. 

This product is an antivirus system and a firewall system for our companyh. We are customers of Symantec.

The product provides great security and is very user friendly. I'm happy with the dashboards and interface. 

We have issues when we install in older systems, such as Windows 7, it's difficult to carry out the set up on these systems.

We've been using this solution for nearly three years. 

The solution is stable. 

We only have around 30 users so scalability is not an issue. 

We had some issues with licensing registration on the company website. We pay on an annual basis and it's a fair price. 

I rate this product an eight out of 10. 

We primarily use the product for all of our desktops and laptops; we use it for security purposes - for endpoint protection.

The solution is constantly getting updated with the latest definitions. 

It's easy to get it across to all clients. The agent installation is very easy and the agent will talk to the server. 

It is very easy to managing everything in relation to the implementation and processing. The initial setup is very easy.

The solution scales quite well.

The solution has proven itself to be very stable over the years.

Technical support has been pretty good in general.

It would be great if the solution could match up with the competition's offerings - for example, making sure they are keeping up with, for example, CrowdStrike and other offerings.

They need to ensure they are continuously keeping up with cybersecurity trends.

If the next release contained advanced threat protection and EDR, et cetera, it would be really fantastic.

If the agent can be minimized so that it can work with in-memory concepts, that would be ideal. As of now, it is file-based, signature-based. If they should come with an in-memory option, it should work at the random-access memory level also. 

We've been using Symantec for the past two decades. It's been a long time. I have years of experience with the product.

The stability has been very good. We haven't had any issues in that respect. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. Its performance is very reliable.

The solution can scale if you need it to. If a company needs to expand it, it shouldn't be a problem to do so.

I can't speak to how many of our users are currently on the product at this time.

As of right now, we do not have plans to increase the usage within our organization.

Technical support has been very good so far. We find them to be helpful and responsive. We're quite satisfied with the level of support we get.

The initial setup is not overly complex. It is very simple and straightforward. A company shouldn't have any issues with the initial implementation.

We may switch to another solution and we are evaluating a variety of options currently. We have not come to a decision just yet. We simply want to see what else is on the market and how this product stands up to other solutions. We're mostly just curious to see what is happening in the space. We've looked at, for example, CrowdStrike, among others.

We are a customer as well as an end-user. We don't have a professional or business relationship with the company.

We only ever use the latest version of the solution. I'm not sure what version number we are on right now, however.

I would rate the solution at a seven out of ten.

Our primary use case for Symantec Endpoint Security is threat intelligence and endpoint protection. Their threat protection is very good. We are managing a good number of users thanks to the solution and we are pretty satisfied with it.

What I've found the most valuable is that it's stable and easy to use. Device control and management is especially easy.

Some vendors are starting to give Symantec Endpoint Security a run for their money. Even Symantec's basic DLP features are getting to a point where they're good enough for some organizations' endpoint security needs. The company should be anticipating this. It might be a good idea to introduce some additional features to Symantec Endpoint Security.

I have been using this solution for five to six years.

Symantec Endpoint Security is stable and easy to use.

I have not had much experience with their tech support. 

Installation is was straightforward for us. There was not very much to it.

We did get some vendor support but six or seven of our engineers were involved in the process.

Symantec Endpoint Security does have some aggressive competitors and they're offering very competitive pricing. Maybe Symantec Endpoint Security could amend their pricing structure, but they always offer a good product.

We evaluated one other antivirus, but I forgot its name. Symantec Endpoint Security was way better compared to that product.

I am using this solution for protecting myself from outside dangers. I am not using it on a daily basis. I open it very rarely. I open it only when I get an alert that I have got a suspicious file or something like that. I then go to the quarantine zone to check it.

The most valuable feature is that I don't feel that it is there. It works in the background and doesn't interfere with my daily work. All the scans are done in the background. This is the biggest advantage of this product. 

It works because I have never been infected since I have been using this solution. Its interface is also very good.

It can maybe send notifications when there is an update and everything is successful.

We have been using this solution for the entire life of our organization. It has probably been ten years.

It is completely stable. There are no issues. I don't find it slowing my laptop. I don't know if my laptop is powerful or the application doesn't take too many resources. A few years ago, the antivirus was slowing down computers and laptops, but now, I don't feel any such issue.

We have about 700 employees in our company, and a lot of them are using the same protection system.

I have an IT department that gives me technical support.

We did not use any other products in our organization. We have only been using Symantec products.

I was not involved in its installation. It was set up on the laptop before I got it from the IT department.

I would recommend this solution to others. It is a stable product. I would keep on using it unless my company decides otherwise.

I would rate Symantec End-User Endpoint Security a ten out of ten.

We used this product to protect our endpoints.

This product is valuable for ransomware protection, general malware protection, and network exploitation protection.

Since the acquisition by Broadcom, we are no longer receiving the proper support. Otherwise, we had no specific point points while using this solution.

This product would be improved with the inclusion of EDR functionality.

We have been using Symantec End-user Endpoint Security for the past 10 years.

This is a reliable solution.

We have scaled without issues.

Prior to the acquisition by Broadcom, we were receiving proper technical support. Right now, we are not getting any support from them, and we are changing products as a result.

The initial setup is easy. It takes a medium-level of time to implement.

Licensing is based on a yearly subscription.

We are currently evaluating other products because we are migrating, now that we are no longer receiving the proper technical support.

This is a product that I would recommend, but only in the case that the support improves. I have spoken with friends of mine who are in the same position and not getting the proper support.

In summary, this is a good product and the only major challenge is that we are no longer getting the proper support.
