PeopleSoft Primary Use Case
I have been working on the technical side of PeopleSoft for the past nine months, focusing mainly on technical courses such as REST APIs, PeopleCode, application packages, and uploading data to pages and component interfaces. I have also been involved in data conversion during my trial dates.
View full review »We stopped using this product a couple of months ago but our primary use case was for the organization's payroll. We had 95,000 users; the entire organization was using it, whether it was contractors, third-party workers, and our own employees spread over 260 plus countries.

A hundred to thousand PeopleSoft ERPs are available in the market. However, we explore a person's business needs, and then we suggest a few options as per their budget and requirements. If one uses PeopleSoft software, then all the issues and challenges one is facing right now in the business get resolved.

Regarding use cases, our company uses PeopleSoft for its entire ERP suite. PeopleSoft remains the best ERP solution available in the market, particularly for those focused on financials, HCM, or supply chain management. The solution's processing capabilities, integrations, stability, and availability of resources on the internet are among its amazing features. I would like to see Oracle ERP Cloud, which is new in the market and has been around for five to six years, eventually reach PeopleSoft's level. It is also important to note that the amount of information we get on the internet is very limited when you compare it with what you get on PeopleSoft. In short, PeopleSoft is amazing.

PeopleSoft is an ERP and provides the software that gives a whole view of a company. From the delivery of raw materials and output from manufacturing plants to distribution, sales and accounting. It provides a unified view and a single source of truth for enterprises. We have 10 clients and those 10 clients have many users who use this solution.

I focus on financial supply chains and treasury modules in PeopleSoft. They're used by every one of my clients. Additionally, I have clients that use campus solutions and use payroll. The footprint is much larger than what I service.
PeopleSoft is mostly used for payroll and core HR functionality. Some customers use it for its finance module.

PeopleSoft is our HR system. We used it for everything at my old company, including performance appraisal, leave application, employee, master database. This company only uses the performance management module, so we do goal-setting and appraisals through PeopleSoft.
Mangement also plans to adopt the compensation module. They are currently only using a small part, but they want to use the full module.

We're a consulting company, therefore, we get involved in all kinds of use cases.
PeopleSoft is used for usually larger organizations and some middle tier. However, usually, organizations that are maybe 2000 employees or two and a half billion dollars or more tend to be users. They use it primarily for back-office systems, finance supply chain, human resources, payroll benefits, that kind of stuff. That includes recruiting and everything associated with HCM. It's one of the primary ERP systems.

We have implemented multiple modules that are the core HR function management, performance management, training, administrative training, access management, global payroll for India, and recruitment.

We implement this solution for our clients. Some of our clients use the on-prem version and some on cloud. We either do our own private hosting or use a public platform depending on the client. If public, we generally use AWS or Oracle. I work with clients in higher ed or the public sector and they're generally looking for a more updated solution than they're currently using. We are partners with Oracle.
