We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The ability to wipe data from and reset devices is one of the most important and valuable features. If a device is reported stolen, we can freeze it or wipe the data from it, preventing data leakage.""The product has eased the deployment of Microsoft apps to the devices. We can manage it properly. We can control it and push the updates. Another company helped us with the deployment. However, we can do it internally.""Intune provides full endpoint visibility and IT control across device platforms. You can individualize it for your company with the Intune Company Portal app.""We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere.""I can reach devices or computers over the internet. I don't need to worry about the network connectivity between the offices. I can manage any device. That is the most important part.""It is quite policy-enabled, so you can build pretty much any policy to manage remote endpoints.""Internet-based access with security is what I have found to be most valuable. It is also a stable and scalable solution.""The main advantage is that Intune performs its intended functions effectively."

More Microsoft Intune Pros →

"The solution is quite user-friendly.""I like the level of interaction that the product offers with the other products in our company's environment.""The management and enrollment process is great, and with the asset management and instant action menu, we can easily maintain and support the users.""The initial setup process is straightforward and fast.""One of the most valuable features of Sophos Mobile is the Wifi password.""The security features work well.""The utmost importance lies in mobile security and its performance.""They always add more features to this product."

More Sophos Mobile Pros →

"It's easy to use. You have to pay extra for additional, but the basic product is fantastic. It will be a good solution for you, depending on your requirements.""The product is easy to use.""I like the support most of all.""The solution can block a virus attack and prevent it from moving across the system.""The solution has a great VPN.""The advantage of Sophos SafeGuard stems from the fact that it is more secure than other products in the market.""The most valuable features of the solution are the fact that they are able to encrypt the hard disk and to encrypt USB sticks.""SafeGuard's best feature is its stability."

Cons
"In terms of what can be improved, I am looking for better enhancements regarding Apple management, not only on the mobile device, but also on the laptop.""Onboarding of endpoint devices is not straightforward. The onboarding process was a little heavier than I thought it would be. That's the key improvement area. Obviously, the more control you have over the devices, the better it is.""There's quite a lot of development that they can do within their Intune dashboard. I think there are too many lines hyperlinked to move you around. Others, in contrast, give you a simple dashboard and an intuitive administrative walkthrough.""I'd suggest adding more features for macOS in Intune. There should be more functionality for managing macOS. There should be a better capability for pushing things down on macOS. Currently, Intune is not capable of managing macOS at the same level as Windows.""The initial setup is a little bit complex.""Intune should be much more granular in terms of supporting more Android cellular devices.""The most important thing is reporting. They should improve their reporting. They should give a free hand to users. In SCCM, I can create my own reports. For example, in SCCM, I can create an inventory report for my PC or for all PCs, but in Intune, we don't have an option to create any report. Microsoft claims that Intune is a successor of SCCM, but SCCM is more powerful than Intune. So, they should develop Intune more and make it equivalent to SCCM. Then, their product will be great in the market.""The feature that allows us to import the business application from the configuration manager to Intune is not very good at this time."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The features of Sophos Mobile could improve. The way the system works together could be better. Additionally, the integration with other Sophos products could improve.""It could be more secure.""We have experienced issues in updating iOS devices when we set a minimum version requirement policy, and we do not have the option to force automatic installation. This means that the device must be supervised in order for updates to be applied, which we would like to see improved.""For Sophos Mobile, it is difficult to get good support.""We would like to see graphics showing the use of each device.""They continue to work on integration with mobile device management and mobile security. They are improving the protection but I think that the capabilities still need to be enhanced.""The product does not work well in iOS.""In terms of what could be improved, the initial configuration and setup of the environment could probably be made a little bit easier. There are so many pieces that go into it. Intune is absolutely insane and Sophos is better, but it still is a bit complex to get it all set up correctly."

More Sophos Mobile Cons →

"The security does not have 100% authentication.""An area for improvement in Sophos SafeGuard is the pricing. Pricing should be better when adding a new account or scaling the product.""Sometimes, multiple updates and crashes happen in the tool, making it an area where improvements are required.""The tutorials need to be simplified. The existing ones need to be easier to follow and we could use some tutorials for basic setups. They should aim to be more like Cisco, which offers very good tutorials and materials.""Sophos should conduct some seminars to teach people how to use it and also to inform the users about what they should do in case of problems.""What would make Sophos SafeGuard better than competitors is if its management console also includes firewall management. In the future, I want Sophos SafeGuard to be more scalable.""In the next release, I would like to see more automation with the endpoint logging, but it's a special feature that is quite complicated to explain.""SafeGuard's user interface is ugly and doesn't provide reports, so we have to go into the database and get information from there by creating queries."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Sophos Mobile is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and security solution that helps businesses spend less time and effort to manage and secure traditional and mobile endpoints. The only UEM solution that integrates natively with a leading next-gen endpoint security platform, Sophos Mobile supports management of Windows 10, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
