We use Parasoft SOAtest for API testing and service virtualization with responder setup. Service virtualization is very helpful in our testing. When any downstream system is not available or we are not able to replicate the exact error in the real world, we virtualize and use the virtualized APIs for those purposes.

We have a payment switch, so we handle many message protocols such as ISO 8583 and SOAP. Our focus isn't much on GUI testing. Mainly, we concentrate on the transactions going to the bank and back to the terminal, heavily utilizing the part of the system that requires a JBoss license.

The most common use case for my customers implementing Parasoft SOAtest is that they want to increase the quality of the application.

We primarily use the solution for API testing for banking clients.

The solution is primarily used by clients for testing, such as load testing.

Repeatable automated regression tests in a SOA architecture IT landscape, for several SOAP/REST webservices including Web Gui end-to-end testing, all scenario-based for 10+ applications. Also, scheduled for test runs at night, using Jenkins.
