There are some areas where Zoho Analytics needs improvement compared to Power BI. Uploading and interpreting data inside the interface needs enhancement. While Power BI uses Power Query, an intuitive and powerful tool that allows data manipulation in any way, Zoho Analytics has limitations. I usually prepare data in Excel before uploading it to Zoho Analytics.

The charts in Zoho Analytics are not as customizable as in Power BI. While all chart types are available, they can only be modified at a basic level, not an advanced level. Though trend analysis features are provided, creating anything out of the box is challenging.

I think the team would know how to predict what needs to be improved. Every business has its own predictions, so providing specific fields based on which to calculate predictions would be helpful.

The analytics plans are very complex because they depend on the users, while other Zoho plans operate on a per-user basis. The analytics plan has different features for one user, 10 users, and 25 users. Having to pay for 25 users when only 11 are needed creates an issue with the pricing structure.

In Zoho Analytics, I don't think there is something that could be improved, but in Zoho itself, I have many concerns about Zoho People.

There are areas in Zoho Analytics that have room for improvement. I find it very difficult to handle more than two subqueries or CTE, as I can only have one subquery in the SQL code. This forces me to create another table for any additional CTE, leading to many queries when I prefer to manage everything in one place for efficiency.

I also believe calculated metrics should be able to be computed within the SQL query itself without the need to separate the raw data from the visualization.

For our strategic initiatives, the AI functionality is not useful because it cannot provide requirement-specific insights. It only gives an overview of the report.

One major issue I face in Zoho Analytics is related to pivot tables. When using two text fields, such as client and project, with numerical data, sorting becomes impossible. However, with one text field and multiple numerical data fields, sorting works properly.

I have escalated several cases for Zoho Analytics. In one instance, we needed a specific chart type that wasn't available in Zoho Analytics, unlike Power BI where new charts can be added. After multiple escalations, they provided a feature to add charts using JavaScript. Additionally, we have escalated the pivot table sorting issue multiple times, but it remains unresolved.

The data visualization features of Zoho Analytics can be improved in terms of decision-making processes. There are many shortcomings in the query language, as it is outdated, and many keywords cannot be used. Additionally, there are many types of reports that cannot be created. There should be an option to input HTML and CSS to create custom reports, not just the predefined ones, which I have faced issues with many times when customers request specific report types.

The collaborative features of Zoho Analytics have faced one issue: they have tried to reduce the sync time with most Zoho applications, but even with CRM, the sync still takes one hour. Customers complain, wanting to see the data in real-time, and the add-on doesn't work well; it only functions for the specific table used for the reports.

One area that could be improved in Zoho Analytics is the one-hour sync; it takes too long to sync within Zoho applications.

I have not seen any improvement with Zoho Analytics' AI-driven insights because it has not been accurate. I heard it's in the beta stage, so it's still under development and not there yet.

An area of Zoho Analytics that could be improved is the dashboards, as the user interface can sometimes feel plain. They can try to add more features in the dashboard while keeping the analytics part great.

I would appreciate enhanced features in Zoho Analytics that offer greater customization options.

From the features perspective, I would welcome any additional features that could improve our data analysis capabilities in the future.

I didn't like the AI-driven insights from Zoho Analytics because most of the time, it gets wrong data and wrong results as output, so I don't usually use the AI features from Zoho Analytics and feel that it's not ready yet.

I would like them to improve the AI capabilities to let it learn more, as the Ask Zia AI chatbots and AI tools that bring automated reports currently do not make sense since the reports aren't any good; most of the time, 90% of the AI-generated reports make no sense for us.

I didn't understand the collaborative features of Zoho Analytics so far.

In my opinion, the API feature from Zoho Analytics needs significant improvement, as it's quite hard to connect with Google Sheets or other websites; also, data backup options were not reliable, as I found that not all my data were available in the backup. These limitations show the need for improvements.

I see areas of Zoho Analytics that could be improved or enhanced in my opinion.

Zoho Analytics can improve by offering more options in the reports, as there are situations where the types of reports offered are a little limited, and I would like additional types of reports along with more functions in the SQL for queries.

The improvement needed is regarding the number of API calls. Currently, Zoho Analytics only allows us to update data hourly. It would be much better to have updates more frequently every half an hour. 

A lot of integrations are available with Zoho Analytics. There is a limitation that we cannot create more than 300 columns in a worksheet on Zoho Analytics. The data can be in millions. There are some limitations on the reports that depend on the various combinations of data you get. So there is always an error that gets thrown out if you are building complex reports.

I have a lower rating when it comes to Zoho Analytics. The tool has poor performance. It needs to improve the dimensions and measures. 

The solution does not provide call center facilities for customer support. So we cannot retrieve reports if there’s an issue. Instead, we must put the reports in the BI tool and send them to our management.

Zoho Analytics provides analytics and reporting for up to 1000 SKUs. If there are more than 1000 SKUs, the data is automatically uploaded to Excelpoint, and we must extract data from there.

The platform's pricing needs improvement.

There is room for improvement related to the formulas because I'm really struggling with the formulas.

At the backend. Even though formulas are correct, values are showing continuous errors. I've already submitted three to four tickets to the Zoho support team related to this issue.

Another area of improvement is support. The support for Zoho Analytics is pathetic. 

The navigation on the interface is not intuitive. The product must improve its interface.

The query language is complex, but it's complex, like, in MSSQL.

The approach should be the same in secret and regular secret commands. It's a trusted period language. We have a data source from a data source.

They have a script to introduce some different sources. Still, they could provide more templates so you can quickly adapt to the query command, for example, query command. To teach the users because if you're going to have a data analysis, the query should be easier to code—the same task.

The hourly pricing needs improvement.

The tool needs to improve analysis and add more features. 

They should provide white labeling with a cheaper option. I know they have a white labeling feature in which I can white label Zoho Analytics with my company theme, logo, and URL, but it seems a little expensive. If they can make it cheaper, it would be great. The same is applicable to Tableau.

Some APIs are not available for connecting to external data. Tableau provides a bigger variety of external data sources that I can connect to than Zoho. I want Zoho to allow for more connectivity to external data, like Tableau, so that we can connect to more data sources.

I would like to add data directly to Zoho Analytics. 

There should be a hierarchical structure among the filters so that when applying the main ones, they will cover all of the objects in the dashboard. The filter should also be applied to the labels as opposed to only the data.

There should be more types of graphics available for use in the reports.

You should be able to combine graphics, especially for presenting modeling and statistical evaluations. For the same reason, more scientific and statistical formulas should be available.

It should be used to customize and configure graphics.

There need to be more models of widgets. At a minimum, it should be possible to have two data columns in the same widget.

A higher degree of artificial intelligence could be included in this solution. The data and overall insights could be improved. 

The customer service and support for this solution could be improved by faster response times.

This solution does not support manufacturing facilities.

Across Zoho products, it is not possible to consider multiple types of discounts. For example, if you give a discount on one level, and then want to give a separate discount at the invoice level, it is not possible.

In terms of improvement, they have a limited number of graphs available in their store. They should come up with more graph style forms. They should have more charts and at the same time, you can't create panels like with Microsoft BA. 

It would be great to have more user input fields which can be used on dashboards. For example, variables or sliders that can be used to change assumptions which have been made in the analysis. 

Some more graphical options would also be great.

It should have more options for graphics, if it stayed with the quality of graphs of excel, would be great.

Delete and copy cells. I would let the users delete and copy as many cells as they want. It is absolutely uncomfortable for me to do it one by one.

Query builder guidance/steps for beginners who need to write actual queries

The ability to copy a full database is lacking, making it difficult to create test environments. The SQL editor could also use some tweaks, as it is currently difficult to debug large queries without having to copy the text into a text editor to get line and column numbers.

No suggestions. However we do not like proposed UI changes and find that in general as a vendor Zoho is rather unresponsive to feedback from its customers.

I remember that cleaning up data was a challenge, and on several occasions we had to upload data sets again after making changes in another program. The pivot tables also took little bit of time to get used to, particularly when choosing which variable to put where and which functions to apply. One feature I wish Zoho has was a tool to determine statistical significance, which would have made analyzing data easier, although I think this is outside what the program is intended for.
