In my organization, we use Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 primarily for data backup and data protection. It is also utilized for security purposes.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 has provided significant agility from a security perspective and benefits greatly from the automated backup feature, which strengthens our operations.

The most valuable feature is the data backup functionality. It stands out as a particularly useful and relevant feature in Veeam.

While Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is a highly convenient product, there is room for improvement in its integration with Microsoft 365. This may not be entirely on Veeam, however, could be related to Microsoft policies. I would like to see features such as disaster recovery scenarios included in future updates.

We have been using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 as part of our company infrastructure for the last five years, albeit occasionally.

In terms of stability, I would rate Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 an eight or nine. It has been reliable without any critical bugs or errors.

The solution is really scalable. Being a cloud solution, it allows us to increase or decrease the number of users covered by Veeam Backup anytime without any trouble.

Customer service and support are responsive, careful, and attentive. Though not necessarily always helpful, they do handle inquiries with care.

In my case, I primarily work with Microsoft 365. However, when customers ask for alternatives, we propose Veeam.

The initial setup was straightforward, and installation could be handled by one technician. However, planning backup strategies involves the entire IT team.

One engineer is usually involved in maintenance, but for planning, the entire IT team is required.

From a financial perspective, I don't focus much on the financial value, but the solution does offer considerable agility from a security perspective.

Compared to other solutions, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is not the cheapest option on the market. Once purchased, no extra payments are required for additional features.

We primarily use Microsoft products, but Veeam is suggested as an alternative when customers ask for different options.

I recommend Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 due to its powerful backup solution, which covers all the modules included in the Veeam Backup solutions.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

We use Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to back up data on Office 365 services and ensure data protection from a business perspective. This includes data from Outlook, OneDrive, Teams history, and SharePoint. We provide a comprehensive backup solution for our customers and integrate these services.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 has saved important data for our customers. For example, a customer accidentally deleted important financial messages, and our backup solution helped restore all the deleted items, thereby protecting their business.

The most critical feature of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is its ability to back up and protect data on cloud services. This includes features such as cloud data protection and data restoration from separate storage. Veeam enables end-users to have their data secured separately from the main cloud providers like Microsoft, Amazon, or Oracle.

An improvement I'd like to see in future updates is extending the backup of Teams' conversation history. Microsoft currently saves only two months of conversation history, and it would be better if Veeam could focus on backing up more than two months of conversation data.

We have been using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 for two years.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is quite a stable product. I would rate its stability at ten out of ten.

The scalability of the solution is also good, though I would rate it at eight out of ten.

Veeam's customer service and support are quite responsive and helpful. I would rate them at nine out of ten.

We also work with other projects and products like Barracuda. However, our customers often choose Veeam over others like Microsoft Azure or Barracuda because it offers a turnkey solution covering both cloud and on-premises data.

The initial setup is automated by default. After the primary configuration, the system runs automated backups.

We have a dedicated technical team of around 20 engineers working specifically on backup solutions.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 provides a significant return on investment by saving critical business data. For instance, in the manufacturing sector, losing program data for machinery could lead to expensive downtimes. Our backup solution ensures that data can be restored, avoiding substantial financial losses.

The pricing is good. While Barracuda might be cheaper, Veeam covers more solutions and offers more features, making it worth the investment. The customer also determines the support level, including premium support from the initial stage.

We evaluated other solutions like Barracuda and Microsoft Azure, but Veeam provides a more comprehensive solution for both cloud and on-premises data.

I would recommend Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to all our customers. It covers many areas and provides a unified solution for protecting both cloud and on-premises data. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

The primary use is back up in Office 365, pulling the data down. 

The automation of backup processes is good.

If you are backing up Office 365, you're pulling the data down. If you are doing cold data archiving in the cloud, it seems like it's quicker to put it in the cloud, but it takes longer to pull it down.

If it could rebuild the data without pulling down the entire chunk, I think it would be an improvement.

We (my company) have been using it for three to four years now. 

We use it daily. I would rate the stability a six out of ten. Sometimes, there is a bug, and it fails, and the backup takes a long.

Our customers like to have a backup for M365. We provide our customers with the solution. 

The tool's most valuable feature is its integration with M365. Its GUI is intuitive and not bad. The granular recovery options for VMs have been useful, though not as crucial as Office 365 integration, which is why we use it. Granular recovery depends on the specific problems our customers face.

The product cannot back up Active Directory objects while its competitors can. Self-service power enables us to deal with service providers. We provide services for our clients, so having a multi-tenant service portal would be good.

 Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 needs to improve its scalability and support. 

I have been working with the product for one year. 

I rate the product's stability a five out of ten. It is not stable. We have faced outages and unknown errors. 

The tool is scalable, and I rate it a five out of ten. My company has 5000 users who use it extensively. We use 24/7 for backups. 

I rate Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365's deployment a six out of ten. The initial setup process was difficult, especially since M365 has a complex architecture.

Deployment takes a week. It involves designing, creating recent documentation, and implementing and fixing any problems. We required two people for the deployment process: a backup architect and for maintenance, we now need at least three people, as we operate on a duty-work basis.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten. 

I rate the overall product a seven out of ten. You need to consider what you expect from the product. Are you expecting to handle everything yourself, or do you want the customer to manage their resources? That is a big issue to think about.

After migrating to the Vectrus platform, the main focus was on ensuring complete backups of email, Teams, and SharePoint using Veeam Backup. Additionally, user migration and porting are essential aspects of this process. There was a need for archiving user email boxes for several years, even for those who have left the company, and Veeam is utilized to export these backups.

Its absolute functionality and intuitiveness are the most valuable features.

The weaknesses in Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 primarily fall into two categories. One related to its scaling challenges when dealing with large organizations with thousands of entities to back up, it's not efficient to back up everything in a single pool. This necessitates the segmentation of backups into different subsets, which requires ongoing maintenance. This can be complex and requires significant automation efforts at the customer site to ensure backups remain consistent and complete. The second category is related to performance bottlenecks, which makes it a less-than-ideal backup platform. This can affect overall backup and restore performance. To address this, there's a need for better strategies, including monitoring performance and potentially adding input features for user inquiries or for managing backups in subsets within the Teams and SharePoint environments.

It offers good stability features.

For larger companies, automation becomes crucial due to the impracticality of manually handling user inquiries. It would be beneficial to implement a mechanism that allows for more efficient input processing, such as recognizing the first capital letter of an email account. This feature should be monitored and considered for inclusion in future versions of the platform.

The technical support is highly professional and proficient. They excel at providing support, and in most cases, the first-level support is so effective that there's little need to escalate to second or third-level support.

The implementation procedure was straightforward and easy to follow. It involved simply installing the entire backup system, which was completed promptly.

If there is an existing implementation, it is simplest and most straightforward to maintain a consistent look and feel throughout the entire team platform. I would rate it eight out of ten.

We use Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 for Teams. It ensures that we have effective data management and integration. We work with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 primarily to support our stream and Teams needs.

Using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, we manage our data efficiently without any issues.

For data security, we rely on Veeam Backup for Teams and it is quite effective. However, I'm not the one responsible for implementing the technical details of it.

I would like Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to increase the speed to reduce the backup time. This would help enhance efficiency.

I would recommend Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to others. As a software integrator and solution provider for retail, we always suggest our clients use it. However, larger companies generally manage their own infrastructure and might have different options available. For retail SMEs, this solution is ideal.

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.

We are using Veeam Backup for Office 365 to backup all of our mailboxes. If something happened, we only have to restore the mailbox and look for an email.

The most valuable features of Veeam Backup for Office 365 are the ease of use and instant back and restore.

When using Veeam Backup for Office 365 when there is a server that's running, I have to have a hard drive installed on it. For example, if I want to use another storage solution, I can't incorporate it very well. If I want to use SMB or other protocols I cannot use them with the Veeam Backup for Office 365. They have the support in the other Veeam Backup and Restore solutions, but it doesn't support it in this solution. Hopefully, in the future, they figured it out.

If I want to offset that data off somewhere else, it is difficult, I don't have a lot of storage options.

I have been using Veeam Backup for Office 365 for approximately three years.

The stability of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is good, they have a good tool.

I found that Veeam Backup for Office 365 is not scalable.

The technical support from Veeam Backup for Office 365 is good, when I reached out to them they resolved my issues.

The cost of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is $19 for one mailbox.

My advice to others is they need to try out other solutions before they make their purchase because Veeam Backup for Office 365 is simple and easy to use, but sometimes, I don't like the solution.
