We use OpenText Operations Bridge more from an event correlation perspective. We do not use it for pure monitoring since we have other monitoring tools. We use it to pull in all of the data from the different monitoring tools and correlate the data in OpenText Operations Bridge. It is integrated into SMAX so that, even if multiple systems are alerting for the same server event, it logs a single ticket into SMAX. We automate the process so that when the monitoring systems send a secondary event to indicate resolution, such as 'I am no longer alerting', it sends an auto-closure event to SMAX, eliminating human interaction in ticket management.

It covers infrastructure monitoring, database monitoring, application monitoring, and other monitoring metrics directly for databases, OpenShift, and other platforms like Webex and IIS. First case of installation of the tool with the business branch of a French telecom provider.
We installed the tool with SiteScope, Network Node Manager and Network automation.
I don't remember the exact environment but we had more than 2000 network nodes and a number of servers.
Installation of a preprod and prod environment. Not much customization. Some rules for enriching and installing the different connectors. Some business view was created too
Great experience but I moved to network automation for a new project.

- To consolidate various products into one and various screen NOC were using to monitor the environments into one single screen, so they can act quickly on the issues and resolve the issue faster.
- Correlate the events from servers, network switches, routers, and present single or few events with the help of correlation techniques stream-based event correlation and topology based event correlations to reduce number of events, so NOC can find root cause more quickly and help with the ROI.
