I never have to worry about the ESX host CPU and memory utilization anymore and allow VMTurbo to do its job.
The dashboard is too basic, could use more details.

No issues with deployment.
Had issues with the product in the past, where it wasn't reporting correctly. I don't recall the fix, but the support was able to resolve the issue.
No issues have been encountered with scalability
Customer server is always great and respond to my tickets quick.
Technical Support:The technical team are very knowledgeable of the product and knows when to ask for senior assistant when needed.
Never use any previous solutions.
The initial setup was straightforward. Download the appliance and deploy it to our vCenter, configure the network settings and that was pretty much it.
The vendor team assisted with the implementation and we didn't encounter any issues, so they knew what they were doing.
Management dealt with the licensing and pricing.
We looked at vCenter operations manager, but at the time VMTurbo offered more features.
This is a great product, once it's set up, you hardly need to login to the interface.
• Visibility of all workloads, whether on-premises or Azure environments
• Control of workloads to assure performance and deliver service levels
• Enforcement of compliance policies across a hybrid cloud
Have the best practices recommendations to optimize our VM environment.

Some of workload are by a monthly basis. Need to consider the month-end or Q-end workload.

Veeam MP for VMware, with SCOM 2012 R2.
Now we are still using this solution as our major monitoring system.
It was simple.

As I said, Veeam MP for VMware.
The automation in Turbonomic is priceless, and all the dashboards, native or custom build, give a complete virtual and physical hardware performance view.
Our servers are now correctly utilized, and I am now able to test a complete disaster recovery procedure, or plan a new VM or host implementation.
Since Turbonomic can do so much, it can be a complex system to look at for one that haven’t laid eyes on it before. But there is a possibility to test out the new design, and that looks to improve on this issue.

The automation has been great. We had some VMs running slow due to high IO on their LUNs, and Turbonomic automatically moved them to correct the problem. Our server performance has been much improved. As the environment changes, Turbonomic adjusts and keeps everything running smooth.
Response times have been improved on many of our servers.
We've had the solution a few months.
We allowed our DRS rules to be used for Turbonomic, but didn't have one of the rules selected as active in VMware. All we had to do was click a check box to fix the issue.

It was a straightforward setup.
We implemented it in-house.
We're still working on allowing more automation. Our ROI is constantly improving.

The extra training we purchased was worth it. We learned a lot about how to use the product and get the most out of it.
DRS Scheduling/automation. Reporting.
Allowing Turbonomic to take over for vCenter DRS has shown a marked decrease in vMotion of virtual machines to keep our cluster resources balanced.
The interface could use some work to improve overall usability.

Turbonomic is a great tool that seeks to optimize your IT environment. The holistic approach this software takes to look at your application's supply chain. Optimizing the pieces of the IT environment that supports the applications is a great way to take preemptive measures towards keeping the environment healthy. The support team at Turbonomic is always there to help troubleshoot, teach, and understand the software.
Turbonomic has kept my applications healthy and shown different ways to move my environment to a healthy state.
The UI could use some improvement, but the preview of the new UI shows great confidence in the product.

No, the initial setup was very easy and streamlined. I had support from Turbonomic team, but feel very confident I could deploy the software and configure it myself.

The balancing of clusters has been huge for us. With a high memory contention environment Turbonomic has been invaluable in maintaining excellent performance across all of our clusters. Our DevOps team is working closely with automatic reclamation of resources that will save us tens of thousands of dollars in hardware costs.
The TVs in our offices display custom dashboards that display the health of clusters and the actions taken by Turbonomic. It has helped us justify hardware and software purchases by easily showing our budget-makers where improvements can be felt.
We are looking forward to the HTML5 interface. As it stands now the interface, although easy to navigate, would be very helpful if I could view it on my phone.

vCOPs/vROPs. We switched because of the "engineer friendly" interface of that solution. Turbonomic's solution is much more approachable and hands off.
Very simple. OVA/OVF file and point right to our vCenter.
The planner feature is my favourite. It lets you had VMs change host RAM capacity, change IOP and NT throughput requirements, basically any scenario that an infrastructure team may get asked about by management.
The ability to group VMs together to provide service or department picture of their infrastructure is great.
Assurance spread of resources over our cluster and to right size VMs.
Due to the planner features breath of scenarios it can be a little confusing to get the right result for the scenario you need. However their are lots of videos for this and support were most helpful.
An agreement with Pernix would be helpful.

12 months - due to our conservative nature we did not turn on automation at the beginning, and the planning feature was only used during project planning phases.
vCOPS and VKernel - both were traditional monitoring tools, that are reactive, whereas VMTurbo is proactive.
