We use the solution to monitor business applications. It helps us analyze the technical and business metrics. We can find out the reason behind the delays in business processes using it.

They should improve the functioning of the editing tool in the solution's older version.

We have been using the solution since 2018.

I rate the solution's stability as an eight.

It is a scalable solution, but we use it only for one instance. We have over twenty solution users, including support engineers, developers, and system administrators.

The solution's customer service team has several support engineers to address the queries.

The solution's initial setup was straightforward. We have hosted it on Kubernetes installation.

Our team of three DevOps engineers executes the deployment process of the solution.

You need to purchase the solution's license for its commercial use.

It is a powerful solution. I rate it as a nine.

In my company, we regularly use it to monitor the status of our running reports, CPU usage, memory applications, and other relevant metrics.

The main drawback is the necessity for endpoint monitoring. Due to this requirement, we faced challenges in fetching details related to endpoint monitoring. We are considering the implementation of better tools.

I have been using this solution for the past two and a half years.

I have around 20 to 30 people using the solution in my company.

The installation process is easy. We have deployed it on the cloud.

We use Grafana as an APM solution to monitor the performance of our serverless core, like, doctors and containers.

Grafana is a very important tool or product that helps us receive information like alarms, performance, KPIs, and metrics. So Grafana is an important part of our business that helps us to make decisions and plan for business improvement.

The most important feature of Grafana is its alarm formatting capability. Currently, we use the CEMA format to classify alarms according to the callers. For instance, critical alarms are displayed in red, warnings in yellow, and announcement alarms in green. We use Grafana for the formatting of alarms.

The documentation or training provided by Grafana is limited compared to its competitors, like Splunk. Some functionalities are unavailable for us since we use the AWS-managed version of Grafana

I have been using Grafana for three years.

We've never had an outage with Grafana, and its stability is very nice.

Around 25 to 30 people are using Grafana in our organization.

Before using Grafana, we previously used different solutions like PRTG and OpenNMS.

I tried installing Grafana long ago, but it was very hard. Beginners will find that installing Grafana is not as simple as other solutions. You need to have the intermediate or medium-level experience to install Grafana.

Grafana's usability depends on your perspective and function. In my current job, Grafan helps us with serverless solutions. However, Grafana cannot be helpful in monitoring, networking, and interfacing for routers.

My advice to new users of Grafana is to have nice documentation and a good knowledge base before performing tasks like installation or configuration.

Overall, I rate Grafana an eight out of ten.

Our primary use for this solution is Data Analytics.

This solution provides valuable insights into the health of our infrastructure in real time.

The most valuable features in this solution are the dashboard, templating, and annotations.

More dashboard is required, out-of-the-box, for OpenNMS.

Grafana has improved our analysis capability to solve an issue, increasing the co-working between IT services and business services.

• Visualisation: It is easy to create beautiful, understanding graphs, snapshots to share the graphs with people who do not have access to Grafana, and templating to create powerful graphs.
• Collaboration: Shares data and dashboards across teams.
• Plugin: Connecting Grafana to multiple APIs of leading monitoring tools and alerting tools (like Zabbix, Nagios, Slack, etc.).

The security needs to be improved, such as the capacity to add permissions on dashboards.

Currently no, but you will need to use MySQL DB instead of sqlite3 for your production environment.

All support is provided by the community, and the documentation is sufficient to solve somes issues.

Only the configuration for LDAP authentication is a bit complex, in case of you are using multiple domains.

Grafana is free and open source.

We did not evaluate other solutions.

Read the documentation before installing. Do a PoC before deploying it into production.
